I grew up in a Mexican household and I remember my mom always playing TLC cassettes although she didn’t know any English. This concert definitely brought back a lot of nostalgia. It used to seem like a summer couldn't go by w/o this song being heard on the radio or MTV or something. Whoever booked TLC this year should get a lifetime achievement award, & I need to listen to the contemporary R & B radio station on the weekends more often.
I've hit up college radio twice, but it's only been rock & punk & pop. Although, Joan Jett live from a 198? local performance hit me up there. At least one jazz, idk what now. I'm being very patient with college radio about Motown & Soul. My experience w this is that rewards for patience brings great glory, at least musicologically. Like, unbelievable, when it's amazing.

I still love them but it's so hard to watch this without Left Eye. I was a huge fan growing up so it was sad when she passed. One thing I will say is that T-Boz and Chilli haven't missed a beat, they are still just as amazing as when this song came out and I am glad they didn't have someone else come in and do Left Eye's part and they played the recording of her.

was also there - the performance was pretty phony tbh. loads of vocals on track (not just left-eye), a dj/hype man who just played random songs (not TLC), a large break in their set for no apparent reason (where the dj just did more annoying hype shit) and not enough hits to sustain a full set.
These ladies love each other and their fans will always love them. They are still the ultimate performers. Wish so much that Lisa was still here and so glad that T Boz continues to overcome so much. I'm so damn proud of these ladies. Legends!

was also there - the performance was pretty phony tbh. loads of vocals on track (not just left-eye), a dj/hype man who just played random songs (not TLC), a large break in their set for no apparent reason (where the dj just did more annoying hype shit) and not enough hits to sustain a full set.

These ladies love each other and their fans will always love them. They are still the ultimate performers. Wish so much that Lisa was still here and so glad that T Boz continues to overcome so much. I'm so damn proud of these ladies. Legends!

To see TLC almost 30 years later (and yes I grew up in the 80s to late 90s listening to Jodeci, Hi-Five, Jade, etc.) brings back nothing but nostalgia. And T- boz and Chilli are beautiful as ever. TLC’s music will always keep me jamming ❤️ RIP and love always to Left Eye🙌🏽
