The minotaur looking dude is from a race called the Tauren. They're like huge bulls. What made this so emotional for anyone who has been a long time warcraft player and fan, is that this harkens back to the original warcraft, with Horde vs Alliance. Up until now, there has been unsteady agreements between the Horde and Alliance. When Sylvanas screamed "For the Horde!" I couldn't help but get amped up as well. The young kind, Anduin, is the King or the Alliance, and the spell he did was mass rez, which resurrects multiple dead allies back to life. The attention to detail on his face during the spell is so next level, it makes you really wish they'd do an entire series on Netflix or something with this detail to tell the story from the beginning. The nerd in me got emotional during this video. The last scene with the Orc jumping to attack the Footman soldier was similar to the cover they had for Warcraft 3, which was a huge foundation to the origins of World of Warcraft, way back in 2005. There's really no "evil" and "good" here. Both factions have their leaders/characters who want the best for their faction and/or people.
I've always been an Alliance guy with only 1 Horde character just to say I tried. But when Sylvanas screams "For the Horde!", I was right there with her. Too bad she turns out to be a crazed, evil killer who wants to destroy the world (of Warcraft).
The big guy is Saurfang, he is the embodiment of the Horde's honour. The guy with the tusks is Zekhan, he's a troll Shaman, he represents the future of the horde. The woman is Sylvanas, she was at the time, leader of the horde, and that burning tree was full of alliance civillians.
The human with the blonde hair is the king of the alliance group which is humans elves dwarves and Other races but essentially the woman with the red eyes that turned into the smoke which is her banshee form she poisoned an entire army and murdered a bunch of people as well as that big tree from the 1st cinematic and so when he says they will all come for us the green dude the alliance with the Wolf guy and all of those people are attacking them because they burned it down a world Tree which is full of The human guys citizens

This game, in the sense of who's good and who's evil...it truly is a "in the eye of the beholder" case. I go all the way back to the original warcraft game before they ever even thought of an mmo and I like playing as both sides because the story is completely different depending on whose eyes you are seeing it from. Personally I will always be a Horde fan for 2 reasons, Thrall and Saurfang, but to understand why you need to finish watching all the cinematics that come after this.
I think the cinematics do exactly that. Like we spend 2.5 years playing and getting bored. If I only saw expansion features when they announced a new expansion I probably wouldn't care. The cinematics pump you up so much.
I love the reactions that you had. It’s a really deep story with a lot of twists and build up to this point in the story. Both sides definitely have their characters that do good and bad while fighting for their own beliefs. I’m glad that y’all enjoyed the cinematic story!
Check out all the opening cinematics for all the expansions, theres 8 of them including battle for azeroth (not this one). First to last is "the burning crusade", "wrath of the lich king" "cataclysm" "mists of pandaria" "warlords of draenor" "legion" "battle for azeroth" and the upcoming expansion "shadowlands"

I always get a kick out of peoples reactions when Sylvanas goes full banshee. Now imagine that at Blizzcon a few years ago in a room with a few thousand people.

Much like real life, neither side has the monopoly on good or evil. There are good and bad people on both sides. Saurfang and Zekhan (the troll boy) are both good, Anduin (blonde king) is good (Genn Graymane the 'wolf guy' is good, but has justifiable reasons for hating Sylvanas (the undead elf woman) even *before* she gave the order to torch the giant tree/island and murdered thousands of innocent people (which is why the Alliance is attacking the city). Really the only truly evil person (and you'll have a bunch of her fans who will deny this and will try to say anything to justify her actions) is Sylvanas.
@Hauke Holst 1) The person who gave the order to actually attack in Stormheim was Sky Admiral Rogers, and canonically Stormheim happens after the Alliance recovered intelligence off the Forsaken in Azsuna and knew Sylvanas was up to something that had nothing to do with stopping the Legion. And it turns out, what do you know? He was right, she was trying to enslave Eyir to ensure immortality for herself. 2) Genn was racist towards undead...though really undead are not a 'race' so it's not really racist to hate them (and I say this as someone who mains undead since vanilla). Humans in general have a reason to be distrustful of undead, especially humans who survived the Scourge decimation of Lordaeron. But Genn has a personal (very logical) reason to have hated the Forsaken. They invaded his kingdom unprovoked, killed and enslaved his people, and their queen personally killed his son in the process of attempting to murder *him*. So yeah, he has every right to hate Sylvanas. And if you'd bothered to read Before the Storm (though granted it doesn't paint Sylvanas in such a good light either), he ADMITTED that not all undead were evil and that he was wrong to hate all of them, so you know, something called character growth...something Sylvanas sorely is lacking in recent writing other than cartoonishly evil villain.
Horde are often portrayed as the "bad" guys, and typically people draw that conclusion based on their looks, many people only know about orcs from Lord of the rings. World of Warcraft is very much a story of good and evil, on both sides. We have the capability or potential for both in us all.

I really appreciate this reaction because you had some sense behind it and didn't choose sides. Subjectively I believe the Horde has better lore and back stories. If you two liked the WoW cinematics and you haven't already...... Check out 'Elder Scrolls Online' trailers and also 'Knights of the Old Republic' trailers, they're super well made.
Always been my opinion that the people who make these Cinematics could do an entire feature film and it would be a better hit that the real life one that was done a few years back.
Yall... this was super fun to watch, I'm bouncing in my seat, shouting about what's about to come. To answer your questions about who the good and bad guys are... oof, that would take hours of nuance and digging through lore that has been written, retconned, rewritten, then twisted around into a pretzel over decades. The tl;dr of it is there... really isn't a clear answer. It's a setting that is ravaged by war and motivated by vengeance. And you could talk to twenty different WoW players and come away with twenty different answers. Still cool to watch you folks react to some of my favorite cinematics of all time, and I'm glad to see that even without knowing the backstory, you were able to come away with a good grasp of the gist of it all. *And for other WoW players commenting - I'm a loyalist until Shadowlands crushes my hopes and dreams, so I don't flat out agree with saying Sylvanas is the bad guy, regardless of the mess of Teldrassil. I hope there's more lore coming down the pipeline explaining what the heck she was thinking, and if she ends up as a raid boss, I will quietly put down my Forsaken banner and slink away into fix it fics.
I've been watching your videos all morning, and the only thing better than you guys watching the Warcraft stuff out of order is watching your videos out of order.
A little context for what you just saw: These events take place during the siege of the lordaeron, a battle between the Horde and the Alliance. These two factions have been at war with each other for a long time, roughly since the orcs first appeared on the world of Azeroth. About the characters you see during the cinematic: The green-skinned orc is called Varok Saurfang, at 3:15 we see him hugging his son Dranosh Saurfang, who was killed and brought back from the dead by the Lich King to fight for him. (another vilain who was human before he was the Lich King = probably the best story of the Warcraft lore) Varok is disappointed by the attitude of the Horde's current warlord, Sylvanas (8:40 the 'she devil') She attacked the night elves in a savage way and burnt the world tree Teldrassil which is sacred to the night elves. So Varok not only fears the Alliance's reprisals (the siege that starts at the end of the first cinematic) but he's torn between fighting for the Horde ("it's all we have" reminds him of Zekhan 4:58, the blue-skinned troll) and having a Banshee who has no honor as a warlord. «Banshee you said? But what is that?» To put it simply, the same Lich King who enslaved the soul of Dranosh Saurfang did the same with Sylvanas who was once a pale skinned blood elf. Her transformation into a Banshee has completely metamorphosed her, and her attitude has been greatly affected. Then you have the Alliance: They come to attack the Horde (the siege of lordaeron) to put an end to the actions of their warlord Sylvanas. The human with the lion's helmet (10:10) is called Anduin Wrynn, the king of Stormwind, kingdom of the humans. He has just taken over as King since his father Varian Wrynn has just died during the battle between the world of Azeroth and the Burning Legion (another great story from this lore) more precisions: 1:40 Teldrassil burning 7:40 Shalamayne is the name of the sword. It belonged to his father Varian before it was rightfully his. The legendary sword can be split in two (Shalla'tor and Ellemayne) for dual wielding. 7:47 Worgens, not wolf. they were humans once but they were cursed. 9:22 Taurens, not Minotaure. They are the more peaceful race of the Horde contrary to what their appearance suggests. 10:43 Anduin has the power of light, he heals his allies. Interestingly enough, his Shalamayne sword shines white as a sign of his priestly talents, while in his father's hands it shone orange as a sign of his warrior talents. World of Warcraft is a rich world, there is a novel composed of more than twenty exciting books that I recommend to all those who love the heroic fantasy genre.
his sword is that from his father. its magical. When u watch the WoW legion cinematic u get it, but the story behind it is way deeper. To take it t the short... this sword transfers the owners psyche wise kinda. if the owners suffer in a battle situation, it can split in 2 halfs give his owner a bigger advantage. the father of him was as child "caged" by the horde, fighting his way to freedem like a gladiator in arena, he was and still is one of the strongest people out there in a normal 1v1 fight, varian wrynn is a legend.
The orc is Varok Saurfang High overlord of the Horde (he been through a LOT) and the guy with the Tusk is a troll named Zekhan, he is a shaman ( the control the elements earth , wind, fire and water, HE SURVIVED THIS BATTLE, the dead troll on the ground was not him) he is basically a teenager and this was his first battle. The elf is Sylvanas Windrunner she is/was Warchief of the Horde, she is a undead high elf( a banshee) as of the conclusion of this expansion she is a villian. She commited so many horrific crimes like the near genocide of the night elves. The worgen (werewolf) is King Genn Greymane of Gilneas (Sylvanas laid seige to his country during a natural disaster and killed his son). The human in the lion helm is Anduin Wyrnn King of Stormwind and leader of the Alliance. He is not a warrior, he is a very powerful priest (this is his first battle). That was tauren (they are probably one the most peaceful races in the game). Both factions have done good and bad.
For people who don't know what this is all about there was some real insight into what's happening and why. I understand it's all there in the cinematic but you picked up on stuff it took me a few views to notice. Excellent video, thank you.
The races we saw were troll (the blue guy with the tusks), blood elf (the woman leader), orc (the big green dude), tauren (the one that looked like a minotaur), werewolf, human, and dwarf. There is no good or bad side. You can play for either the horde (the faction led by the blood elf woman) or the alliance (led by the human). The first trailer was showing the Chieftain of the orcs, Saurfang, ultimately recommitting to the horde. The second trailer shows the battle for Azeroth (which is the name of the planet the game takes place on) between the horde and the alliance. The blood elf leader is named Sylvanas, and she is a banshee queen (not a devil/demon woman). The human king is Prince Anduin, the leader of the alliance. The werewolf is Greymane, one of the captains for the alliance, and Anduin's confidante. The games shows various classes (e.g., types of roles you can play). We saw warriors, paladins, shaman, and hunters for the most part. The troll was a shaman, Anduin was a paladin, Saurfang and Greymane were warriors. You're right; there's a lot of lore that happened before these trailers for this expansion of the game (which was first launched in 2004, I believe). But for the first trailer, it's important to know that the giant burning tree we see flashes of is Teldrassil, home of the night elves (which weren't really featured in either trailer). It also meant the destruction of a World Tree, which is sort of a portal to another dimension called the Emerald Dream. (There are a few of these World Trees throughout Azeroth, and each has a sort of mystical power.) Hope that gives some context on what you were seeing. Glad you watched these! Aren't they beautiful?
Guys, this video means so much to a wow player or to the lore fanatics. Varok Saurfang( that big green orc) is THE veteran among all characters in WoW lore. He is all about an honor. He wants to die honourably in fight so he doesn't have to suffer all the bad things in the world that are happening and cos the Horde he used to serve is not same anymore. He doesn't have anything to live for anymore. But The Troll(blue tusky guy) ,we call Zappy Boi, just gave him a bit of reason to keep fighting cos he reminds him what his son was doing, fighting for good and for THE true HORDE ! And that black lady with bow is called Sylvanas, The leader of Undead(on of the Horde faction) and as well leader of the Horde at that time you are watching it. She made The Horde kinda evil and do bad things !!! PS: your Minotaur is called Tauren in the game.
Is this video supposed to be in your Warcraft playlist? I see Battle of Azeroth #2 but not this one. I haven't seen any of these so watching them in order with you guys sounds like fun, just wondering if you've already reacted to all the warcraft cinematics that are out or are there more you intend to watch? Btw really enjoying your guys' channel! Have a good one.
the absolute best thing about World of Warcraft and Blizzard Entertainment in general is thier cinematics, they are so well done and the lore to this game wouldnt even fit into a 10 hour video, its so indepth, which it should be since the game is over 15 years old, I´d recommend watching all cinematics from the current expansion, Battle for Azeroth, such good cinematics, they best they've done so far. Love the reactions!
In a nutshell (contains spoilers!), there's noone completely good or evil, but soon after this battle we can see Anduin (the human king) forging an alliance with Varok Saurfang (big old orc) to dethrone Sylvanas (devil woman) and stop the war, since she's the one who wanted to start it and keep it going. In the end, we understand that the only evil one is Sylvanas, who has her personal agenda and the war is just instrumental to achieve her goal.
Good & evil between the Horde & the Alliance like you mentioned earlier in the video, is all a matter of perspective. I play on the Horde side, there are things we have done that can be considered both good & evil at times, but so has the Alliance. But there have also been times when we have had to work together, either by force or for a common goal to protect the world in which we all reside on.
If you get this expansion, you can participate in this battle, I played both factions-alliance and horde-there is no good or evil faction, just whichever you choose to join.
Is this video rendered in 30fps? I can understand the cam but the video playing is kinda choppy. other then that love the vid :) also goosebumps all over again
The Lady Elf there, Sylvanas Windrunner, is Undead and she's pretty evil but the Horde isn't evil really and neither is the Alliance .... they're just unable to see eye to eye and often misunderstand each other which cause the wars and such ... it's a pretty complicated story really! But it's pretty awesome! The Wolf Guy (His Name is King Genn Greymane) is Worgen (Werewolf) and the young King, Anduin Wrynn, is the leader of the Alliance and a Priest who can use the light to heal people Green dude is an Orc, and the blue guy is a Troll! And the Minotaur is a guy from a race called the Tauren! There are lots of really neat races in the game on both sides!
To answer your question about good and evil without a deep lore dive. Neither side is the good side or the bad side. In Warcraft the two factions, the Horde and the Alliance, both have heroes and villains. They have both done heroic deeds and committed horrible atrocities against one another. As neither side can fully forgive or trust the other for past war crimes they always find a reason to go to war again and again. "Ours is a cycle of Hatred" was the opening quote to that cinematic and it pretty much sums up the game.
LOK TAR O GAR VICTORY OR DEATH FOR THE HORDE!!! great reactions guys keep them up there are two sides nither faction is evil we just don't like each other for different reasons but we will never bend for alliance flith 😁love these heaps to watch keep them coming
So wipe out faction?? it's the smart move to rally bsck later as there to many the alliance had to do same thing, if you can't see that you weren't watching the whole story. And using our battle cry as a word to say we ran haha and also it was the legion we retreated from as our leader Vol jin called for retreat not from alliance forces.
The horde also run away from the battle for the undercity... it's ok to run away all the time when they are losing but why bother with the battle shout victory or death when they always run away...
@@vindico8231 haha you must of missed Undercity as it was blown up not before being evucated and battle of dazzalor when alliance retreated from horde and zandarali army they couldn't face the Horde head on find a battle where alliance make the Horde flee haha
These 2 sides have been fighting each other since the very beginning - great summary of the whole game (the good guys depends on which side you choose)
Its not a good vs evil sort of thing well not at the time anyway, that woman is sylvanas and was the leader of the horde, but later on you find out she had alternative motives. Both sides are "neutral" as the player picks their side based on what race they play in game so both sides are the good guys from the players perspective depending on their choice.
I myself am a player of WarCraft 3 which was the last game that I played in this franchise, These events are very strange for me as I don't know the descendants of the characters that I used to play in that old legendary game, but I'm familiar with Sylvana I think as I remember Arthas tricking her and killing her then resurrecting her as part of his undead legion. If anyone can help me connect the dots, I would be much grateful!
I've been playing since Burning Crusade and it's a long progressive story. The expansions in order... World of Warcraft (or what's colloquially known as Vanilla) The Burning Crusade The Wrath of the Lich King Cataclysm Mists Of Pandaria Warlords of Draenor Legion Battle for Azeroth Shadowlands Shadowlands will be released later this year and each of these titles averages about a 2 year life span. We're at about the 15.5 year mark.
I almost feel like the reactions to the cinematics just makes it more solidified that they should make a movie with just the animations? I would watch it for sure.
The World of Warcraft movie, when it was announced, held a lot of hope for a lot of people. We all hoped it would be a two and a half hour long Blizzard quality cinematic. What we got was a live action / CGI mix because the studio and producers wanted real actors they could bank on in the future and turn into a cash crop. The movie we got wasn't "completely" terrible, it was entertaining, but it was a far sad cry from what it could have been.
@@spetsdod Yes in my opinion it just got bashed from the movie film companies. They dont want games making movies aswell (because they have actually a good base with story for it). And everyone says "The review is 2.5 out of 5" etc. I rarely hear "I just don't like the movie because of...". For the first movie it's quiet good, idc what other people say. It's not a 5/5 of course but a 2-3/5 its too low imo. Why they dont animate all the characters? Because it cost's lot of time. I hate if people talkin about sh%t they not even know about.
Essentially, the Horde and the Alliance are two factions who are unfortunately stuck in a complicated situation. There's potential for good and evil on all sides. The Horde is usually seen as the misfits, usually involved in not so good stuff. The Alliance on the other hand are seen as the good guys, but there's been plenty of evildoers on both sides. Really it's a fight of Good vs Evil within in each faction and how easily the masses are corrupted by perception over truth. In that sense, it hits home personally for a lot of us who are judged on our ideals or our looks. The reality is, we're all very complicated and unique and we're in a constant clash. World of Warcraft is just that...except from many different perspectives depending on the race and faction you choose. It's a fantastic game and one that's been going strong for over 15 years now. This particular expansion tells the story of the 4th War. Varok Saurfang (the Orc from the first trailer you watched) has been around for years, like a second in command for the Warchief of the Horde. This expansion tells us more about his personal feelings with some of the dishonerable things he's done for The Horde. It's a great story about how far we go for what we believe and how long our humanity can last before it breaks. Anyways, sorry for the wall of text. You guys popped up in my recommendations and you seem cool!
It's complex. Neither team is entirely good or entirely evil! Blue guy with elephant tusks is Troll and the big green guy is an orc. Glad you enjoyed it!
The Alliance and Horde are always fighting each other, but there's also always a larger enemy that puts both factions at risk. So, they stop or slow down their fighting, defeat the larger enemy, and then continue fighting amongst themselves. This has been every expansion of the game in a nutshell.
The history of the games somewhat explains the world. It was "Warcraft Orcs and Humans" which I think was Humans good and Orcs are bad barbarians. Warcraft 2 Tides of Darkness added Elves, Dwarves and Gnomes to Humans to get the Alliance. This is sort of the Tolkien or D&D style "good" races. Trolls, Goblins, Orgres joined the orcs to get the Horde. These are sort of the Tolkien or D&D "evil" races. Warcraft 2: Beyond the Dark Portal put home that the orcs were invaders from a foreign world that was being destroyed, so they were forced to flee to save their people and that clashed with the Human lands the portal opened into. From there forward the factions were increasingly Grey and mixed with good and evil people in both factions. The lore is more interesting to me as it drifted away from the pure Tolkien "Good v Evil", especially starting with the Campaign Story in Warcraft 3. In the Warcraft & Warcraft 2 campaigns you played one side or the other and the campaigns end differently depending on the side you picked. The Warcraft 3 campaign started with Humans, then moved through the other 3 races pushing a larger narrative forward including having you face off against heroes you had controlled in the earlier campaigns.
The second trailer was the reveal trailer actually, they're out of order. The second cinematic is there to show a different perspective because the Horde faction is split in its morals. Also, please look at the WARBRINGERs series of WoW, they're short and 2D but they're AWESOME :D
They leave the good guys bad guys ambiguous so players can choose which side they fight for. Essentially, who is good and who is bad is up to you. "FOR THE HORDE!"
The tree from the first cinematic was more than just a home for the elves, Here's a copy/paste from wiki :: The tree was grown from a single acorn of the recently lost Mother Tree, G'Hanir, by the great dragon Alexstrasza in the waters of the newly reborn Well of Eternity on the sacred Mount Hyjal. After that she blessed the tree with strength and vitality, which also extended the night elves. Ysera's blessing upon the tree bound it and the elven druids to the Emerald Dream, allowing them to enter her realm freely where before it required difficult meditation.[3] But the most important blessing came from Nozdormu, which ensured that so long as the tree existed the night elves would remain immortal. This would ensure that even the most corrupt of night elves would be drawn to protect the tree.
The human king is what's called a Paladin. Traditional class for human kings in this world. What he did was a mass resurrection, calling the power of the light.

Mario, Nicole, if you're interested in learning the lore, i suggest start from Warcraft 1 (Warcraft is the precursor to World of Warcraft). And the "minotaur" is actually a Tauren, the blue guy is a Troll, big green meany is an Orc ;) oh, and the human? he's a Paladin... what he did was cast mass heal :)
should get online and get the list of cinematics in order (ingame and game trailer) and view them in order, theres a lot of viewing potential lol plus you guys will like em all im sure the story of this game is amazingly well done
She is the devil, but it's not good vs. evil. Both sides are good, although both have done some bad things, but have plenty of conflicts. Great video seeing an outside perspective.
Its all about perspective.. for the most part if you know the lore most people would say the alliance is the good side, and horde the bad, and vice versa.
Would just like to point out, as others probably have, that these cinematics do not show the Alliance side of the conflict and the logic behind the attack. I would honestly recommend watching the Warbringers cinematics to understand the drive behind the narrative. The Alliance in this case is retaliating after Sylvanas and the Horde soldiers she manipulated into it, invaded the Kaldorei (night elves) home land tore through their lands - desecrated and plagued their forests and ultimately burned down a whole main capitol - a giant tree with villages and their main city Darnassus on it. There were thousands of civilians burning, children even, who were all torched to death with those who managed to escape by jumping or on boats being ordered to be slaughtered on the shores by the Horde soldiers. It was this act of genocide that drove King Anduin and the Alliance to attack Undercity (formerly Lordaeron). And even then in the game it is actually Sylvanas who destroys the city. In the face of defeat she blights and ressurects the Horde soldiers who fought for her into mindless undead and ultimately plagues the whole city so that the Alliance won't get the victory, killing many of the Horde soldiers still within. She is the ultimate evil thought I would say personally that the soldiers who blindly followed her and participated in the atrocities are equally to be blamed. People will often say both Alliance and Horde are neither good or evil, in some sense it is true, though I would say that the Horde had committed more crimes. They bombed an entire city with a mana bomb (a fantasy equivalent of a nuke), they blighted alliance settlements. When the Alliance soldiers fought off the sort of neutral undead (global threat) the Horde charge into their ranks from the back to slaughter them instead of helping, they bombed a school for young elven druids, killing the students there, they aimed to corrupt a heart of a forest which resulted in terrible destruction and loss of life not to mention all the druids in that forest were turned into mindless aberrations. Their lumbering and oil mining operations are stripping and polluting the land where they set foot. Granted not all races of the Horde are on board with this, but most certainly are.
World of Warcraft lets you play as either Horde or Alliance. They are split by races. Alliance is humans, dwarves, and worgen (werewolf guy). Horde is orcs, trolls (blue guy), and tauren (minotaur). There are more but keeping it simple now. As someone else pointed out both are good and bad. In the first cinematic the Old Soldier green orc is angry because he sees no honor in this war because of who started it.
Sylvanas the high elf/undead/banshee archer burned Teldrassil which is the city of the Night Elves who is a race of the alliance and did other evil things. So now the alliance and the horde are going to teach her a lesson. Theres no evil and good in warcraft, every faction has its own way of living and acting. The blonde Brad Pitt guy is called Anduin Wrynn the current High King of the Alliance, he is a priest thus the light powers who can heal his entire army, and he's the son of Varian Wrynn the guy who appears in the Legion cinematic. The green big guy is an Orc called Varok Saurfang, he is the High Overlord of the Horde kinda like firstmate, Sylvanas being the Warchief same position as Anduin for their faction. There are a lot of other cinematics which was release after this two and they tell a little more of whats going on right now in World of Warcraft
There are two factions in the game, both do good and evil things, like everyone in real life.

Anduin looks so insanely similar to Heath Ledger

Honestly this game has so much story it is amazing
This game, in the sense of who's good and who's evil...it truly is a "in the eye of the beholder" case. I go all the way back to the original warcraft game before they ever even thought of an mmo and I like playing as both sides because the story is completely different depending on whose eyes you are seeing it from. Personally I will always be a Horde fan for 2 reasons, Thrall and Saurfang, but to understand why you need to finish watching all the cinematics that come after this.
Imagine if they played the game, these cinematic are why I keep coming back... game design are hit and miss but love the stories
yeah all the overpowered and nerfed, and endgame gripes bs aside, blizzard has lore on lock

"A MONITORE!" lmaoo, got some good laughs. Thank you!
I like how they genuinely try to understand what's going on. great vid :p
10:57 that's one of the great things about this game is that both factions have an appeal to certain people for VERY different reasons!!
Yeah, well ... for most of the Horde races, that appeal is "they're keeeeewl" and for some races, like Draenei and Blood Elves, it's "tits" :D
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner, also referred to as "the Dark Lady" and "the Banshee Queen", is the former Warchief of the Horde and former supreme ruler of the Forsaken

Totally agree
"man just put ya'll differences aside" Tried that before. Ours is a cycle of hatred.
Horde are often portrayed as the "bad" guys, and typically people draw that conclusion based on their looks, many people only know about orcs from Lord of the rings. World of Warcraft is very much a story of good and evil, on both sides. We have the capability or potential for both in us all.
I draw to the conclusion that horde are the bad guys because they obliterated Tharamore, they burned Teldrassil and many other horrible things.

Yall... this was super fun to watch, I'm bouncing in my seat, shouting about what's about to come.
The trailers are so much more epic when I see them from a perspective like you two that haven't played and I love it
I've been watching your videos all morning, and the only thing better than you guys watching the Warcraft stuff out of order is watching your videos out of order.
A little context for what you just saw:
These events take place during the siege of the lordaeron, a battle between the Horde and the Alliance.
These two factions have been at war with each other for a long time, roughly since the orcs first appeared on the world of Azeroth.
About the characters you see during the cinematic:
The green-skinned orc is called Varok Saurfang, at 3:15 we see him hugging his son Dranosh Saurfang, who was killed and brought back from the dead by the Lich King to fight for him. (another vilain who was human before he was the Lich King = probably the best story of the Warcraft lore)
Varok is disappointed by the attitude of the Horde's current warlord, Sylvanas (8:40 the 'she devil')
She attacked the night elves in a savage way and burnt the world tree Teldrassil which is sacred to the night elves.
But what is that?»
To put it simply, the same Lich King who enslaved the soul of Dranosh Saurfang did the same with Sylvanas who was once a pale skinned blood elf.
Her transformation into a Banshee has completely metamorphosed her, and her attitude has been greatly affected.
Then you have the Alliance:
They come to attack the Horde (the siege of lordaeron) to put an end to the actions of their warlord Sylvanas.
The human with the lion's helmet (10:10) is called Anduin Wrynn, the king of Stormwind, kingdom of the humans.
He has just taken over as King since his father Varian Wrynn has just died during the battle between the world of Azeroth and the Burning Legion (another great story from this lore)
more precisions:
1:40 Teldrassil burning
7:40 Shalamayne is the name of the sword.

I know no Zekhan, I know only Zappy Boi
The space in between war and craft alone lets us know you don't play wow.
(There are a few of these World Trees throughout Azeroth, and each has a sort of mystical power.)
Hope that gives some context on what you were seeing.
PS: your Minotaur is called Tauren in the game.

the absolute best thing about World of Warcraft and Blizzard Entertainment in general is thier cinematics, they are so well done and the lore to this game wouldnt even fit into a 10 hour video, its so indepth, which it should be since the game is over 15 years old, I´d recommend watching all cinematics from the current expansion, Battle for Azeroth, such good cinematics, they best they've done so far. In a nutshell (contains spoilers!),
there's noone completely good or evil, but soon after this battle we can see Anduin (the human king) forging an alliance with Varok Saurfang (big old orc) to dethrone Sylvanas (devil woman) and stop the war, since she's the one who wanted to start it and keep it going. In the end, we understand that the only evil one is Sylvanas, who has her personal agenda and the war is just instrumental to achieve her goal.
@ 9:22 those are 'Tauren' (Horde side)those bulls like people. I play world of warcraft...
Do these trailers make you guys interested in gaming at all? Curious.

The Wolf Guy (His Name is King Genn Greymane) is Worgen (Werewolf) and the young King, Anduin Wrynn, is the leader of the Alliance and a Priest who can use the light to heal people
Green dude is an Orc, and the blue guy is a Troll! And the Minotaur is a guy from a race called the Tauren! There are lots of really neat races in the game on both sides!
You two are amazing!

So next is the Diablo 4 cinematic?
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner leader of the Forsaken and ruler of Undercity Until Undercity Fell to Blight, and now leader of the Horde
It's complex. Neither team is entirely good or entirely evil! Blue guy with elephant tusks is Troll and the big green guy is an orc. Glad you enjoyed it!
Def gotta checkout all of wows cinematic's! All of them are great!
Its not as black and white as good vs evil. Both sides do good and bad things, each player decides what faction they join when making a new character
The tree from the first cinematic was more than just a home for the elves, Here's a copy/paste from wiki ::
The tree was grown from a single acorn of the recently lost Mother Tree, G'Hanir, by the great dragon Alexstrasza in the waters of the newly reborn Well of Eternity on the sacred Mount Hyjal.
That is Nordrassil that you've described, the burned tree however is Teldrassil
The human king is what's called a Paladin. Traditional class for human kings in this world. What he did was a mass resurrection, calling the power of the light.
New Warcraft Reacter!
To understand what's going on, to know Battle for Azeroth Cinematics leads to eachother, so you have to see them in order to understand better..
I got list of Battle for Azeroth, and previous expansion Legion, that leaded to Battle for Azeroth. If you know something about Warcraft Lore and so on. You can go ahead with Battle For Azeroth cinematics.
Anduin is a Priest (who can wear plate because armor rules don’t really apply to major lore characters).
You should start from the beginning. Lots of videos, great characters and a great story. You'll love it.
should get online and get the list of cinematics in order (ingame and game trailer) and view them in order, theres a lot of viewing potential lol plus you guys will like em all im sure the story of this game is amazingly well done
Please react to the rest of the cinematics and the Warbringers short stories. You would like them as well.
You guys should react to the cinematic of wrath of the lich king, by far the best cinematic by Blizzard in my opinion.
If you are ever interested in the lore, Nobbel does some great videos on the lore.
Anduin invokes the healing powers of his Paladin class and invigorates his army.
If you check out the Warcraft 3 cinematics you'll get most of the backstory you need for these.
Horde is not evil , For the Horde !!!
You two play now ??
8:14 damn right that’s a monitor
watch the cinematics from the very beginning aka world of warcraft vanilla and move your way up the expansions. You will understand it much better.
