What is cord lenght in your nunchaku ?
It's about 6cm.
Sensei, in my opinion the best method to use nunchaku for fight is to use swinging strikes. Not using it like a short eskrima stick. It just makes the weapon range shorter and lower damage output. Anyways do you kobudo guys have joint locks or disarms with nunchaku like in Eskrima Tabak Toyok katas? Just askin...
Yes, these techniques are used when you are close to the opponent and no space to swing.
I agree with you that swing is better to fight with Nunchaku.

It is said that Okinawa people learnt how to use Nunchaku from Chinese people.
Ryukyu, ancient Okinawa, and China had a relationship at the time.
