Thanks for the quick test Jon, the typo will be fixed , thanks for the heads-up , about the bucket wash, we give both of the options how to use it, for getting the effect we say , dilution it more in a bucket will not get the best results. this is more of a sealant rather than a strong car shampoo.
Great little video. You could clearly see on the screen how glossy the paintwork was- impressive. Carpro do make some fine products. I might try Hydro2 once my Touch-on is used up, I will try working it in with a mitt next time. FYI if you use Touch- on in you snowfoamer you'll have to clean out the filters more often as it crystalises and blocks up, not big deal really. I think this is perfect for winter cleans to help protect it during the harsh weather. I like using Touch-on in the bits that you cant protect like the Radiator, In the wheel arches, chassis and engine bay areas to prevent corrosion and salt build up. It makes you feel like the car will hold up over winter and gives me peace of mind. Touch- on is £18.95 and Hydro2 is £17.95 per litre the ratios are slightly different by a margin so they probably work out the same ish.
You've hit the nail on the head for good cleaning and protecting of everyday cars. I do an above average level of clean but most likely would not be considered a detailer so, whilst I do use light ceramics etc, I really love these easy peasy and quick products. Washing with a ceramic shampoo is one step too far for me though. My winter wash method, adapted from something you did a video on years ago, is the AVA pressure washer with 3 beakers, all Bilt Hamber: Touch Less, Auto Wash and Touch On. It's a quick method and Touch On is an exceptionally good product, causing no windscreen/wiper issues (and some free RainX effect for a while). I imagine this CarPro product would do as well as Touch On.
Hey Jon, I used all three of the Hydro2 products. I think the foam is the easiest. I think the regular Hydro is the best. I use the Hydro concentrate to protect my rims. I also offer it as a sealant for customers. The concentrate is a bit more finicky but provides multiple ways you can use it. I think you bring up a great point on the usability for daily drivers. I’m interested in seeing a comparison per $ for all ceramic coatings/sealants. Specifically, does it make sense to do a coating knowing that you may need to use a ceramic topper, or do we just go with using sealants and save the money. A lot of sealants nowadays are getting really good, granted they don’t offer the permanent coating attributes but are we just splitting hairs at this point? The industry seems to be moving away from coatings definitions in years and going towards miles driven for longevity. If that is the case then some of these sealants make more sense per cost unit. We could really go down a rabbit hole on this don’t you think? Great video by the way!
Love your channel, it has taken my car and bike cleaning to another level, as a result I have a garage full of bottles and containers and I am running out of space. I like the look of your shelving with all your bottles and trigger sprays lined up, did you have these made as I am looking for this type of shelving for all my potions.
yer so display pro uk. sell all this shelving and you can customise the width on it. and its reasonably cheap mate. I think its more for kitchens but I bought it and its been good.
Use Gyeon Bathe + in this way, either foam it after a wash or apply direct to mit and spread on wet clean car. In between wet coats. I think it’s a great use case for just normal daily drivers. If car is really clean I might even use it in a bucket wash. Totally agree that they feel just like a rinseless wash, but it’s a one step wash and protect that takes half an hour.
I'm interested in both gyeon bathe + and this hydro2 ,have you used both? Which one better? I like tge sound of gyeon self cleaning not sure if hydro2 does the same
I’ve been only using carpro and Bilt Hambler detailing products on my vehicles and motorcycles and have been extremely happy. I have cleanest cars in my neighborhood lol, and very easy to use and great results
At that “incorrect” dilution, better off with a cheapo spray and rinse to apply product for economy and much better hydrophobics I haven’t been converted to true ceramics and use these spray and rinse off products for the past 4 years. Don’t feel like I’m missing out on much beyond the hours of prep and install of a ceramics. I’m a contact wash twice a year guy with tocubless auto washes in between. If it looks good from 10’ away, we’re good. :)
Hi Jon, speaking of mineral deposits diminishing an LSP product, what are your thoughts on a final rinse with a mixed resin bed water (DI) filter? Or is the cost prohibitive? Lots of great content on the channel by the way!
its not really a problem for me but sometimes the tap water can be really bad and it causes issues. If I think theres a problem ill tweak my process so Im ready to go after the final rinse, and get the QD on it and towel off the panels quickly.
I did all that sort of stuff in the early days mate. its a bit too "you tubey" for me now. But IK stuff is pretty blingy. poka stuff for garage is nice. or just a top draw polisher maybe is good gift.
Hi John. How would this stack up as a fortnightly product through winter?. So snowfoam of choice first and leave to dwell for 5 mins. Rinse off .Then the carpro product with a wash mitt, rinse and then towel dry. Do you see any issues? Thanks in advance.
that would work mate. in fact thats what ill do with the golf. literally turbo clean and leave the wheels :) product is good though golf is shiny and beady and slick.
What about a review on the Milwaukee da polishers , what about the dewalt polisher , I’ve watched all week for the postman , I’d like to try a battery polisher instead of a valetpro monster , Koch chemi does a good spray on wax and I just add 30ml to a litre and spray it on with the foam cannon
What about a review on the Milwaukee da polishers , what about the dewalt polisher , I’ve watched all week for the postman , I’d like to try a battery polisher instead of a valetpro monster
Are any of these ceramic shampoos worth coming away from BH touchless for? I've not used many myself but I can't see anything drawing me away from touchless, it's even great used in a bucket at the stated ratio. I don't know
Any plans for a headlight restoration comparing video. Also carpro just made a headlight ceramic its expensive vs the trim ceramic but supposed to last longer.
Just a question been looking but cant seem to find one Do you have a video of your favourite coloured snow foams? I know there a niche thing just interested 😂
prolly the autobrite direct ones or the autoglanz ones but colored foams are a nightmare mate. I used them as a view tool back in the early days of shorts and when it got good views like anything it got taken and rinsed and repeated by all the cheesers.
If you have a clean car like you had with your test then it be nice to see what would be the best spray on/wash off sealant with no need to scrub it with a wash mitt being that the car is already clean.using off the top of my head koch PW,koch s0o3,infinity wax synergy boost mabey turtle wax seal and shine and meguiars hybrid ceramic...giving costs per use and best applications amount of product per wash... Dilution ratio seems to be a big thing.infinity synergy boost quotes 1.25ml per use which seems like very little.would be nice to see if the product works at that ratio.also would it be 1.25ml in the snow foam lance with 500ml of water? Mabey a test idea for you for the future?
I like the concept of these types of protection, but I just don’t like what they can do on windscreens… I’ve had experience of them causing wiper judder.
This was fine on the glass. I've got a coating on the fridge not screen but I didn't get any judder or sneaky mess on the glass. But yer it can be a problem with this format.
Just what I going to ask - I use BH Touch-on, great on the panels and side glass but I avoided spraying on the windscreen but I still got the stuff on the screen from the roof run-off when jet washing off. Terrible ghosting at night and rain - now spent severals days trying to get off, ended up have to use a glass abrasive (more than once) to get it off. It's made me very cautious about using them.
Off topic to the video, but how have you found your AVA pressure washer? I ordered a P40 GO and had to return it as it was faulty straight out the box.
yer I would just use this on my golf.. wash car down in 10 minutes. then cover it in this and rinse and dry. Id use it if I did not want to be outside hanging around in the cold type thing.
Compared to Collinite Beadcoat, Carpro HydrO2Foam has a silkier touch and also seems to have better antistatic properties (attracts less dust). I applied Collinite first, then a week later foamed and rinsed off Carpro. Get the best of both.
you have lost your edge humberto. you used to be the first. the shining example of speed. like A train from the boys. I will be monitoring your performance and expect to see improvement. :)
@ForensicDetailing Sorry, I was driving to church and one can't text and drive😜else I would be back with God and I still want to be visiting this planet and enjoying it 😜😜
its literally like that :) you can show the label and follow the instructions and then get told its not designed to be used that way.. or it doesnt work properly unless you do it another way or add additional steps not included. to be fair though carpro dont play that game they just fix any errors on the labelling that comes out of a review which is a cool thing.
Hydro2lite has been my most disappointing auto detailing product I’ve tried. I didn’t even get 2 weeks of beading from it on my hood. I still use it for intricate grilles and wheels, but not on the paint. Just another tool in the toolbox
Horrible product stability. Mine separated into a cottage cheese like gel that is almost impossible to dissolve in water. Got a new one and same thing happened.
interesting yer thats updated since the mega test. which is cool. but 10 litres of water in a bucket would require the whole 500ml bottle still. Which like you say is still a lot. The other ceramic shampoos are typically 20-100ml roughly per bucket. But I guess you could mix up 2 litres solution with 100ml and go with that. 1 to 20 is about 5% pir so you will definetly get a turbo charged level of performance with that much product. One of the critisms I had with theceramic shampoos that we touched on is that down at very low ratios in the bucket the user experience is poor. so maybe carpro have gone guns blazing eg use a lot of products but get some stronger performance. not sure but yer this is the interesting stuff to discuss.
@ 100% agree. I bought the Gyeon bathe+ a while ago and have used it twice I think, I also have touch on now, and it’s so much better applying it by lance. It’s quicker, feels better, even just using it after a regular shampoo. I think personally that’s the better way to use them. I think the rinse less comparison of the bucket wash is spot on. Just feels a bit wrong… but the lance makes these products shine. Which makes me think of that GTechniq EZ coat, which is probably the better way to sell the product with a built in cannon for the absolute beginner that needs this product without a lance. Or maybe these companies should offer a bundle with a lance.
Thanks for the quick test Jon, the typo will be fixed , thanks for the heads-up , about the bucket wash, we give both of the options how to use it, for getting the effect we say , dilution it more in a bucket will not get the best results. this is more of a sealant rather than a strong car shampoo.
Love the turbo wash. Great video overall. Enjoyed that one.
Nice to see more CarPro, I've used the Lite version and it lasted way longer than other spray and rinse products I've used
This is why I like some lasting protection in my rinseless wash, it makes maintenance washes a breeze.
Love this stuff use it on Raptor coating and it works amazing. When you go 4WD and get mud on it it is so easy to clean.

Great video. Best bits are always at the end!
Should probably change the title of the video to reiterate its the Hydr02 Foam, Hydr02 is also a spray and rinse sealant.
yes great point mate ill add that now. /bow thank you
I’ve been only using carpro and Bilt Hambler detailing products on my vehicles and motorcycles and have been extremely happy. I have cleanest cars in my neighborhood lol, and very easy to use and great results

I used this for years as top up protection. I've started using BH Touch On more recently as a cheaper alternative. Not sure if it's as good though
I feel like Carpro is a gift of the Valar Aüle.

no they are not really like touchless. thats a deep cleaning pre wash. these lean more to being a spray sealant with surfactant in them.
@@ForensicDetailing haha sorry I meant touch on 🫣
Any plans for a headlight restoration comparing video. Also carpro just made a headlight ceramic its expensive vs the trim ceramic but supposed to last longer.
I didnt have any plans mate but I will keep an eye out
Be interested to get your take on the KC s0.03 which is supposed to be the replacement of PW

I'm interested to ask what would you use as a top up for ceramic coating? This or Reload? I have cquartz UK on my car
I think if had a coating then yes the spray topper from that brand for that coating gonna be solid bet.
I use Reload on 3 of my cars that have UK 3.0. But, I am thinking of using Hydro2 foam every other wash just because it’s quick and easy.
Off topic to the video, but how have you found your AVA pressure washer? I ordered a P40 GO and had to return it as it was faulty straight out the box.
mine going fine mate ive got P55 go that im using in this vid and a P80 evo that I use for driveway or gutters or roof.
@@ForensicDetailing I must have just been unlucky.. I know a few have had issues with blowing fuses and what not but overall seems to be a good brand.

thats Koch EU tar and glue remover. its very very strong. So get it on and off on the target area quickly. keep it away from plastics. maybe glove up.
