Just subbed. From southern mb. Canada. My son and I do 65 places for snow. A few commercial, rest residential. We run a toro multiiforce with 5' blade, 4 toro powerclears, Ariens 24" efi, Ariens 32" efi mountaineering edition. Etc. I have soooo many questions and maybe some answers. lol. Good luck to you.
I’ve never personally used one but have heard that it’s too heavy to be effective. The machine has trouble pushing the blower attachment and isn’t very effective in capturing snow to throw.
I do my snow removal with a John Deere garden tractor, 54" blade. I added a 1.5" steel pipe to the bottom of the blade to minimize damage to the lawn, removed the skid shoes works nice. When the snow gets deeper than 10" I switch over to 47" 2-stage snowblower. Tire chains on a garden tractor are crap to ride on, I use aggressive ATV tires. I tried tungsten carbide studs in ATV tires, good traction but extremely hard on concrete. My two-stage snowblower is drive shaft driven from the PTO and will chew through 24" of snow like nothing. 95 % of the time the 54-in plow does just fine. Would be so cool if Boss made a 54" V plow for a small machines.
Pulling a trailer is less than ideal in the snow but definitely doable. I bought a Ramp Rack and new F250 this season to ditch a trailer in the winter.
@@jaybrown8709 I never had a complaint about the noise over the years but I’m using a western wideout this season. Upgraded to a truck plow over the summer!
@@jaybrown8709 yeah I’ve gotten 3 plowable events this year thus far and the truck plow has been alot more efficient, so I’m glad I made the move to it.
If you had an actual plow TRUCK. your driveways would have taken you less than 2 minutes. No joke. You would be able to make a ton more money. Plus i am sure people love a loud lawn mower at 2 am running outside because it’s going to take forever which is annoying. Just stating you a good job though.
I upgraded to a new F250 this season. Truck plow will come in time but for now I like the lower overhead operation. Plus I can use the Multiforce year round and get it moving all year.
I have the exact same setup as him and I got rid of the plow truck.,. It goes down for maintenance once and it already defeats the purpose of it and cost you money you could be making with almost no overhead in the first place when I just go out with my snow blowers and truck and trailer I get 20 accounts at 60 a piece done in about 15 minutes each by myself .. most of my customers don't want a plow in the first place that's why they hired me they don't want their grass messed up or driveway.. pretty much unnecessary unless you're doing parking lots
Mower noise is no different than a loud snow blower running. Why not be more efficient with the multiforce. Plow truck isn't always best for some driveways.
A pickup truck with a snow plow is too wide to do sidewalks, and you have to be really careful about getting too close to garage doors Parked cars etc. That multiforce is a neat little machine, can get close to stuff with precision, turns around on a dime. One additional service you might think about adding for your existing customers is roof racking snow from roofs when the snow is really heavy.

Thanks for the sub. Sounds like a robust operation you guys have going on. Keep it up!
Ariens your go to for 2 stage? Toro powerclear till I die but have yet to try an Ariens. 50 residential southern Ontario.
@@adamlee9589 Are you solo?
@@kenirving5268 hey I’m from Winnipeg! Could I give you a ring about the multi force I have some questions
@hardrepsconsistentsets what's your email?
Hey do you know what the snow blower attachment is like for this machine?

Pushing snow out on the street is a huge no no here. U asking for trouble from the city.
How is it pulling the trailer

Rhett
Way too loud to be plowing residential at night unfortunately. You can do those driveways with a truck plow in a couple minutes and be out quietly.

@ really. Hmmm. Ok. Whatever works. The truck plow will feel incredibly fast in comparison. Good luck this season.

@@optimallawnmaint for sure you can take on way more accounts and easily pay for the blade. Good job.

Your plow can't do some. So there is a whole market for this. Alley driveways are small and tight.
