Snow removal in Sweden ! To remove snow from your roof with a rope, you pass the rope under the snow from the high point to the low point and keep the rope taught on either end. This removes the snow's grip, and so it slides right off , I seen it work ! And use a sawing action !

Presently, that's the most snow recorded anywhere on Earth. It's insane. Worse, there are more storms in the Pacific Ocean heading towards California.

And I thought we got a lot of snow where I live, just checked and the best average I can find is 240 inches per year with a high of 420 inches. I know how hard it can be to find enough room for all of it, can't quite imagine getting twice as much.
You can control those ice dams using panty hose with some salt in a leg and lay it on roof so that it cuts through builds a channel. Put several of them acrose the roof and they will provide good drainage. You can use most any rock salt, the type you might use on sidewalks or even just good old water softener salt. Those dams could cause you a huge repair bill if left uncontrolled.

You betcha, I subscribed to this channel!! I noticed that you don’t have a lot of room to maneuver in. To work in with your skid steer. That flat out sucks. We don’t have that problem out here in NW MONTANA. We have plenty of room here on our land and around our log home.
(Only 11,782 acres are left out of the original Remington Ranch, that my great grandfather staked off. Back when he was the senior surveyor for the Great Northern Rail-Road. Which is now called the Burlington Northern.)
(No, absolutely no, no more of our land will ever be sold. because of the way, my father and his brothers have it structured. None of the family members can sell it off to development. Not now, not ever. Because it’s been put in perpetuity.)
I hate to say it, but the majority of it went to the, “Kootenai National Forest”. By my great grandfather and my grandfather, together, supposedly, “donated,” a large chunk of our Ranch for what was back then, a substantial amount of money. 💰 Donated my ass. Ha!
And on either side of our private dirt road that runs off of the county Road called, THE YAAK RIVER ROAD. Our road runs off of the part of the Yaak River Road that is a very wide and extremely well groomed, dirt road. But this time of the year, it’s under about 2 feet of good & packed snow. Well groomed.
The Yaak River Road runs all the way to the Canadian Border. But, it’s not paved all the way to the border. The last 8 1/2 miles is the dirt road I was speaking of. I seriously doubt they will ever finish paving it.
Simply because they’ve never even attempted to do it since I’ve been alive and I’m 62. My father lived to be 98 1/2 years old and they never did it during his life. My great grandfather, and some other men are the ones that punched the road open, All the way to the border…
If you have Google Earth, go to the search bar in it and type in, YAAK RIVER ROAD. Or, type in, THE DIRTY SHAME SALOON. Or, type in, YAAK RIVER MERCANTILE & TAVERN. One of my first cousins owns it with her husband. And the businesses all around it.
This part of Montana, speaking of the entire valley, the Yaak River Valley, has a population supposedly of right about 241. The valley is 78 miles long and almost, Almost, 8 miles wide. It’s considered one of the most remote areas in all of Montana, where people live, with hardly any services.
    -----------------------------------
“The Great Northern Railway was an American Class I railroad. The Great Northern Railway merged with three other railroads to form the Burlington Northern Railroad, which merged in 1996 with the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway to form the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway.”
The Great Northern was built in stages, slowly creating profitable lines, before extending the road further into undeveloped Western territories. In a series of the earliest public relations campaigns, contests were held to promote interest in the railroad and the ranch-lands along its route.
“The largest ranch that was staked off in North-Western Montana, was the Remington Ranch. Founded by the Grandson Of, Eliphalet Remington. His name was, Hiram E Remington. He was the chief surveyor for the railroad. Eliphalet Remington was the founder of Remington firearms. At the time the company was founded it was called, E Remington & Sons. The original ranch was 334,560,00 acres.
Fred J. Adams used promotional incentives such as feed and seed donations to farmers getting started along the line. Contests were all-inclusive, from the largest farm animals to the largest freight carload capacity, and were promoted heavily to immigrants and newcomers from the East.”
“The very first predecessor railroad to the company was the St. Paul and Pacific Railroadowned by William Crooks. He had gone bankrupt running a small line between St. Pauland Minneapolis.
He named the locomotive he ran for himself and the William Crookswould be the first locomotive of the Great Northern Railway. J.J. Hill convinced New York banker John S. Kennedy, Norman Kittson (a wealthy fur trader friend), Donald Smith (a Hudson's Bay Company executive), George Stephen.”
“ (Smith's cousin and president of the Bank of Montreal), and others to invest $5.5 million in purchasing the railroad. On March 13, 1878, the road's creditors formally signed an agreement transferring their bonds and control of the railroad to J.J. Hill's investment group.”
On September 18, 1889, Hill changed the name of the Minneapolis and St. Cloud Railway (a railroad which existed primarily on paper, but which held very extensive land grants throughout the Midwest and Pacific Northwest) to the Great Northern Railway. On February 1, 1890, he consolidated his ownership of the StPM&M, Montana Central Railway, and other rail lines to the Great Northern.”

I also worked as a surveyor. Don't ever sell land. Every person I know who has sold their land in the past for what was a lot of money, back then, has regretted it

Sounded like a 6.7L Cummins. Love my Cummins. I have two snowblowers and a battery powered snow shovel. Snow is a pain.

I've noticed none of these people living up in the mountains have snowmobiles. Something doesn't make sense. Maybe it's because I own a snowmobile!

The top layer applied to a vehicles paint is called clear coat, not clean coat, in case you want to correct that in print.
