As a child I really enjoyed the Will Hay films and his chums Moore Marriott and Graham Moffatt. They still entertain me. I think this is a wonderful tribute to Moore Marriott.
Thank You, at 60 years young, I used to love the Will Hay movies as young boy, even in my late teens. The trio were perfectly matched. I even try to record them if they are on today.
Please keep an eye on the Talking pictures tv schedules, there are a wide variety of films from not only this era but with these very actors. They're a true joy to sit and watch and you would definitely not be "wasting your time "😊
This Actor has fascinated me since I was a small boy. I'm 65 now and love him more than ever. A great actor and a great comic actor too. A true icon of British Cinema.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video, Tom, Your dedication to honoring the lives of these great actors from many many years ago is truly inspiring, I really hope the Will Hays Appreciation Society will continue to do work like this for many years to come!
This is wonderful - to be honest I think MM was a bit of an underrated comic genius, this has made my week knowing there are people out there wanting to keep his flame burning. You should be very proud of what you have done - Bravo
Thank you Tom for all you do for the memory of these greats. Great tribute. My father introduced me to this era of films as a child and I've loved them ever since.
Im 74 loved these Will Hay films introduced to me by my old Dad.,My children now late 30's still watch them bought box sets on dvd for me ages ago brilliant
Tom this is fantastic, I am stunned actually. I’ve got all their films on dvd & still watching today & still laughing. Absolutely hilarious. Thanks for doing this video. 👍🏆🇬🇧
Loved the movies with Will Hay, Moore Marriott and Graham Moffatt. Impossible to pick my favourite one. Oh, Mr Porter !, Where's That Fire ?, Convict 99 and Ask a Policeman, were Brilliant !!. 😃😃😃😃
We met up with Tom Marshall at a Model Railway Exhibition in the Spring and he sold us a signal box. Not just a Signal Box but the one modelled on Buggleskelly of course. Tom makes superb models based on the great films we all grew up on. Thank you for a super tribute. David and Lily. Reading or reeding, "cissester Sir"
Love mr porter .my fave line is when will hay says, look I’ll knock that one tooth out and leave you stark naked you old fool 😂😂and the other bit is in where’s that fire when he kicks the blokes gout bandaged foot and says , Move that parcel out of the way 😂😂😂great old comedy from the greatest comedy actors ..
I am 59 and I miss these old films and actors, I don't think today's standard is as good, a lot learned their craft from music halls, were now people want fame straight away, but don't have the class and they all look plastic😢
you've not mentioned Will Hay as an astronomer who discovered a geological feature on Saturn, then again we are talking about Marriot, he was in fact a romantic hero in his early films.
"weren't allowed"? That's quite an insulting and ignorant comment, really considering they were invited to speak, and in fact, his Grandson spoke but decided he'd rather not be on camera. Regarding the focus on Eric Morecambe, the second part of the film is an interview with Bob Golding (as clearly stated in the video description). He's played Eric Morecambe on stage and screen for the past 20 years.

It's a pity these films no longer make mainstream TV anymore.
They're occasionally shown on Talking Pictures TV but rarely on mainstream channels

Moore Marriott had quite the life, kept busy entertaining the world with his remarkable talents🥂🤗 RIP Harbottle you are greatly missed❤️💋
Hello Daddy! One of the funniest scenes in Ask A Policeman.
He was a very very fun man.

The flying Scotsman film , Was that Ray Milland with Moore Marriot driving the train?
Yes it was, cracking film too.
The great Will Hay films with Moore Marriott in them were just about the best that were made, those without the Marriott and Moffatt less so.
Green For Danger: tried to race me on my bicycle.
is it possible to watch Victoria the great on you tube. great scene of Marriot blowing Lion's whistle for the royal inspection

pity the great man's family were'nt allowed to say something-and why so much on Eric Morecambe
