Having ridden 1000 miles in 5 days i can say its comfortable. I did Oxfordshire to Calais to Normandy, then toured all the WW2 memorials and beaches, and back. I used a 30 litre roll sack for carrying my clothes. I purchased a slightly taller powerbronze light tint screen. Its fairly thursty at a constant 80-90mph, but what isn't. Its a heavy bike but most tourers are. It has the linked braking system and ABS. Its brilliant.
I had a CBF600 and when I come to traffic lights, I let go of the trottle and the engine would start to jerk or 'vibrate' as it's slowing down. Not sure why or is it common on geared bikes? Does this do the same thing?
Looks like a nice bike, is that the one with wheelie control ?? Your right about the exhaust it is covering up a bit of beauty that, and is on the large side for me.
You're certainly getting to test quite a few bikes lately Eric! Intersting that you've liked these last two from Honda, but didn't rate the Crosstourer a while back. I remember you liked the Triumph Explorer and wondered if you'd tried the 800 or 800XC? They're reputedly stonking bikes.
Is this the same guy that was moaning about the Honda Crosstourer!!It is the same V4 engine just bigger in the 1200.But you did not seem to think that the power delivery in the 1200 wasn't any good!In fact you said the bike is more or less rubbish and you were going to send it strait to the garage!!C'mon mate!give us a break!!And the Triumph had some funny piece of metal that you did not like etc!!Why don't you do something else mate instead??
