    I know not permanently mounted but be mindful of the rotor direction and the calipers with only 1 bleeder those need to point up. Nice setup dont listen to the negativity. Love the build.

    Correction. They are not C5 calipers, they are calipers from a 2000 Silverado. The C5 kit CPP sells also uses Silverado calipers, but they come with a custom spindle that uses C5 hubs.

    You will be fine with a 18 inch wheel on that, I run 18's with exact same set up

    Been a long time since you posted this but would you happen to have a link? I can’t find a full kit with the front back and the booster/master cylinder

    Interesting how people buy this kit when they can get the wilwood 6 piston billet aluminum kits for like a couple hundred more (1200 to 1400 depending if you go 4 or 6 piston)

    • @Lethalgarage
      @Lethalgarage  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That doesn’t include the booster, but when I got my kit it was $800ish for front and rears with the spindle and booster.

      @Lethalgarage ooh my bad didn't know it came with the rears too. Just the fronts for wilwoods are like 12 to 1400. This is a better deal 😄

    I also used this kit. I had to throw away the rotor because the pilot hole was too big for the hub. Watch here. (th-cam.com/video/RJZbYye6j3A/w-d-xo.html) CPP WOULD NOT replace them. Then both pistons in the 'rebuilt' C5 calipers leaked. JUNK. I am sure that the C5 hubs were the cheapest Chinese junk as well. THEN the CPP Spindle that allows you to hang C5 brakes leaves your front a FULL (1") wider than stock. In other words, your front tires are one inch further apart out than your rear tires. CPP claims in their literature that they do not. It is noticeable. I measured it, as did my frame and alignment guy.

    Great video, I am building a 1980 Trans am protouring build. I also purchased the CPP big brake conversion for the front. I see that you a using Rocket Attack series wheels. What size and backspacing are you running up front? Well it started out as an 80 but I'm converting it to a 70-73 with a flush fit small back glass and front windshield. When I watched a video where you said you were at a 1 year and 4 days into the build, I was like shiiiiiitttt that's awesome. I am working on the back half of the car fabricating a rear diverter, extending the lower part of the rear quarters building a metal bumper and a metal rear spoiler and I am probably like 2 years just in that, so awesome looking work for such a short time. Thanks, for taking time to post your videos.
