I just got X raps this year for the first time. I only caught a few small bass on the biggest size, but I've caught a few big ones on the next size down. They definitely work and I will fish with them more.
I live in Pennsylvania and fish only for walleye and musky. Two local rivers i fish for walleye I only use gold/black or silver/black countdowns sizes c7 and c9. The other lure I use is Rapala Shallow Rap in Bluegill color only size SR7 they crush it but only that size and color. Ive had days with that bluegill colored shadow rap that it was almost like i was dreaming i was doing so well for walleye in a small river 10 miles from my home. I first discovered how well the bluegill shallow rap worked 22yrs ago when i was a teenager bass fishing and on a few occasions fishing for bass with my medium heavy St. Croix Avid and Premier casting rods with bait casting reels spooled with 17lb Stren High Impact line I had caught 4 to 7 walleye when fishing for that moring or day. This was on several occasions and funny part is was even at mid day and afternoon. Wheres as now when fishing countdowns i dont put a line in the water until an hour before dark
Rapala X-Raps are one of those Legendary lures from Rapala. I have a few of the big 5 1/2 inch X-Raps I catch sometimes medium size Northern Pike actually. I LOVE ❤ the X-Rap Jointed Shad! They cast FAR! They have GREAT ACTION SLOW OR QUICK! And if your running a thin steel leader THEY WILL SLOWLY RISE! Allowing you to stay in the strike zone longer from quick rip and slow rise/pause retrieve. I just caught a 41 inch Spotted Musky on the Rapala X-Rap Jointed Shad on the “Hot Head” color (looks like a Goldfish). Caught him from shore in 4-10 feet of water above the weeds on a slow medium retrieve, just enough to get that tail waggin, then I felt like I hit a brick wall! My gear used that day was a Berkley Fusion Fiberglass Rod (7 foot 2 piece collapsable rod) Medium Heavy. Paired with a PENN Fierce III 5000 size spinning reel spooled up with 300 yards of 30lb Suffix 832 Advanced Superline with a thin light but still “Heavy Duty” Eagle 🦅 Claw 12inch steel leader. The X-Rap Jointed Shad slow rises on this line and leader. But when I am using it on my larger setup with a #130 fluorocarbon leader… the X-Rap Jointed Shad slowly sinks. 💡

I've been catching waleye on the F11 silver and black, for years. Hell we use Rapala exclusively cause they constantly catch fish.
I'll admit I have a bias against these kind of promo tutorials but this guy is unbearable. Still a good lure.

I bounced an Xrap off a dock and the bill snapped off. Now i have a Glidin' Xrap. or a subwalk xrap. lol. First time i ever broke a Rapala.
The bill broke of as well. I filled it in with red nail polish....But now it's a plastic fish you just cast and retrieve.
I used this one for peacock bass..so far i could say i got 80% success rate using this..tnx bye

I like this hardbait because on the pause it stay with the head down just like vision 110.i catched a 51 cm european perch with it

Cause they don’t need no one’s opinion. Rapala Lures catch fish and trophy fish. All of my personal best Biggest fish were all caught on Rapala Lures.
