    The sad thing is, it's really common for people to overdose after getting out of rehab because they don't realise that they've lost all their tolerance for the drug. If you are in danger of relapsing, I doubt anything I can say in a TH-cam comment will stop you, but please don't use your usual dose to do it.

    Black Metal Veins remains to be one of the most disturbing exploitation works I’ve ever seen. I felt rotten and repulsed by sex for at least a week after watching it. Horrible display of inhumanity, but probably the best way to get children and teenagers to stay away from drugs.

    I watched Orozco a few months ago and there are definitely translated titles: The embalmer explains in depth the histories and traumas of the deceased, the process of embalming as he knows it, and his own personal story as to how he came to be in the current moment. Do not just watch it for the shock value, that does this documentary a huge and unnecessary disservice when trying to give humanity to those trapped in inescapable poverty and war torn environments. This was a sincere attempt to immortalize people in some of the worst conditions while giving their untimely and forgotten demise meaning.

    Just keep in mind Black Metal Veins is pretty much largely staged, especially with everything Raven/Misery related. There's a lot of info to back this up and as we've been learning about Mr. Valentine in recent years, (allegedly) he's had a habit of grooming women over the internet in order to be part of his exploiting fetish-films. A lot of testimonials around to back this up as well. Drug use in BMV is, from what I can tell, real, but in my personal opinion is not enough to make it a "documentary". I only hope more people who stumble upon Valentine's material also realize just what they're actually dealing with and make a firm decision to not endorse and promote what he does, since there seems to be a consistent narrative of him allegedly being in fact a sexual predator and an abuser.

    • @bladeaok
      @bladeaok ปีที่แล้ว +144

      the drug use is about the only real thing going on in that movie, autumn has told me personally it's almost completely staged. lucifer valentine seems like an absolute creep, i see his methods as pure exploitation, the women i know that have worked with him still seem to be friendly with him though, so maybe they view it differently.

    • @Sumikrus
      @Sumikrus ปีที่แล้ว +52

      @@matthewzablocki5310 if I interpreted your message correctly, then no, he (Valentine) has never said he's a sexual abuser and a predator. I'm also not "exposing" anything, since there's nothing for me to expose. Others, who have been close to him at one time or another have done the exposing. Why I brought this subject up was because the original video included BMV in it's list as a documentary, while it isn't one.

    honestly, upon hearing the explanation of the japanese cremation, it actually puts me at ease rather than disturbing me. this is just a family gathering around, learning more about their relative who has passed, and getting to participate together in putting them to rest. I think that's really lovely, even if we in america might be disturbed by it. I certainly don't think i could keep such a lighthearted attitude, but i've not been around death enough to make peace with it. i think that's really what makes the difference there; i see it less as a bad case of desensitization in that case, and more coming to understand that this is a normal part of life. it makes sense there would be giggles; i've seen children at funerals, and they tend to find some amusement in the whole thing. so getting to actually pass grandma's bones around must be pretty neat!

    As fucked up as the first documentary is, I think it's important. As someone who has experienced the world of heroin addiction, the portrayal is incredibly accurate and so so so much more common than you would think. Especially people overdosing right after rehab because of reduced tolerance, everyone dying around you, your body deteriorating. Despite all this, you can't stop. These people aren't dumb or delusional, they are trapped. I could never watch this documentary due to the triggering nature so I actually really appreciate you sharing it in a less graphic manner so that I could experience it without being too triggered. I have been in and out of treatment centers since 2020 with some fairly long periods of sobriety. I am 4 months clean currently but my addiction will be with me for the rest of my life. The most imperative advice I can give, never do opiates unless prescribed for extreme pain. But be cautious, as we all know, so many addictions begin from prescriptions. You may say, "Oh, I would NEVER be anything like these people.", "I take pills but I don't snort them or smoke them.", "I only snort heroin, I would never shoot up.", etc. What I can say to any of these statements is "YET." These things progress with unrelenting, demonic speed. It truly takes away any sense of control that you think you may have. For people who have passed the point of no return, there is help out there. I could not have stopped without detox and treatment and sober housing as well as community. You are not alone.

    Okay sorry but I disagree with your view on Orozco the Embalmer as being a 'dark' film of any kind, much less one of the darkest. I have watched this fully, and what I see when I watch this is those in the funeral home industry doing their best with very limited resources in an area prone to a lot of violent and senseless crimes as well as gang warfare. the Embalmer is efficient yes but look at the care he gives them after the initial process. seeing this every day and having to handle it is part of the job but the fact is he shows a lot of care with each one, no matter what condition they are in when they arrive and regardless of age or gender. People like him deserve thanks and respect. it is not dark. Human nature may be, but this shows the empathy of those who must take care of the dead. I get why the gore factor may get ratings and views, but look at this with an understanding of the area and then really pay attention to the mortician (as there is no real embalming done by current standards especially for 1st world countries) and you will see the care he gives to those in his community - which is anything but dark.

Children watching out of curiosity is also very natural, it is just something most countries like the US do not allow or condone on any level-which means that those in the 1st world countries while better off in most aspects also have a much harder time coping with death or the thought of dying.

    For me that movie is incredibly interesting and I’m not sure if I agree with the sentiment that it only has worth as something of pure shock value. Orozco is an incredibly interesting man and he made the most out of his situation. The methods he used to preserve bodies and embalm them are nothing like what mortuaries do nowadays in more developed countries. Still, he did what he could and while the work isn’t glamorous you could tell that Orozco took some pride in his work.

    11:35 my family is from Colombia and such scene was quite common some years ago. I’ve always been told by my relatives how they used to find dead bodies while playing outdoors. They used to tell me how they were eagerly waiting for a corpse to be found during boring days, as everyone will come to see it. Also, more or less two decades ago it used to be normal to be involved in random shootings in the street. Those were mainly the reasons to why my family immigrated. Nowadays the country has changed a lot, there are not many public acts of violence. :((

    Everyone knew Qatar was using slave labor to build Fifa stadium. Slavery still happens today. From the foreigners who have no access to their passports as their owners hold it. They're hostages. This happens in many Arab and MENA countries. Libya has slavery akin to precivil war era America. Slave markets. Disgusting.

    This video was detrimental to my detrimental health. I was already feeling bad then I saw this video and was like "Yeah, let's keep this vibe of hopelessness going!" Excellent video, I'm the dummy for clicking it in that mood. I'll be fine, I'd suggest watching this vid when you have quick access to puppy/kitten videos afterwards.

    I think you’ve done an incredible job of showing these documentaries and your narrative is so respectful to the poor humans involved, whilst questioning the viewers ability to actually acknowledge the true depth of the horror and injustice that still occurs today!! “Ignorance is bliss” does say it all!! 😔
    …which leaves a horrible feeling of shame yet it is the truth!!!
    Very impactful 🥺😟😔
    Thank you for creating this 🙏🏻👏🏻
    Amazing work!!!

    Recovering opiate addict here I was usually high functioning but even then still self proclaimed functioning addict I’d refer to myself as a junkie despite never using needles. The pit is endless until you reach death. What really snapped me into reality was a vivid night terror about me unslinging myself then instantly regretting it but it was too late. Ever since that feeling, I’ve never let myself fall past a certain stage.. I’d self intervene before letting myself get to a spot like the ones you see in the first documentary but everyone should know that it’s not only real but the opiate epidemic is insane and unending.

    I remember when I had 15 to watch a shockumentary called executions, about the death penalty in the world. It has a lot of real executions and the last one is until today one of the most shocking scenes I've ever seen (besides funky town).

    Just watched nicks crowley video then went to go watch this video, now I'm heading to watch disturbed reality video. It bothers me how watching dark content can effect your mood drastically. Was in a good mood...
    Crazy how they all uploaded the same day

      Wow, it sounds like your watching habits here on TH-cam mirror my own. You literally named in order just what I watched today. Crowley Dark Vids 4, then this one, then Disturbed Reality, and the latest from Mr. Nightmare. So now I will head over to watch DR and the rest named here plus others that I love to watch. That Chapter, Disturban, Tragedy Tales, Missing Enigma, and several others. I love all that content.
      I like running onto others who have the same watching habits because I know they are like-minded and don't think people like me are weird for watching all the content that I do. Take care.
