The Demon has the lowest BR Sparrow missiles, but the new French Vautour IIN Late at 8.7 has the lowest BR radar missiles
I have played a lot of the demon, and to be honest have never gotten an aim 7 kill. don't take them. just take the aim9bs and go for gun kills. this thing is very maneuverable and has great guns. however lack of flares realy hurts you now that su25s and a-10s are out there. probably more suffering than joy now.
Not that hard to get a 7c kill if you know how to use them, then again they are a worse 9B with all aspect
@@legendbee9579 the radar is awful in this plane. I have played it for many hours. have you actually tried to get a kill with them in the demon specifically? it is extremely hard. you lose lock or it simply self destructs before reaching the target.
Aim-7C will work when close and head on.
@John well first the demon is the only aircraft with the Aim-7c, and second, you can get kills with them, the biggest issue is yes, the radar, and the tracking delay on the Aim-7c. It is possible, and I have gotten a few kills with them. It takes a lot of getting used to, and they can be hard to use, but are worth carrying, especially at higher altitude at the beginning of the match.
Personally, I don't mind flying it all that much. You climb at the start of the match and dive on the 30G missile boats first, helps that most of the A-10/Su-25K/A-6E pilots are wallet warrior smooth brains. Once those are out of the way it's smooth sailing dogfighting everything else. I'm fairly certain the F3H can even win a fight against a MiG-15/17 when you use the flaps.
I have the Demon and randomly got a talisman for it in a battle trophy, but stock grinding it is still tough due to the large amount of SU-25’s and Mig-21’s.
The F-101 Voodoo, F-102 Delta Dagger and F-106 Delta Dart are on my bucket list to be added too. Also the F-11F-1F Super Tiger and F5D Skylancer
the f2y Seadart would also be a fun event vehicle

F-11F-1 is already in the game, albeit locked behind a paywall
F-106/F-102 can’t happen due to the lack of a gun, and only using AIM-4 Falcons, which need a direct hit to explode
@@MatchingUser the f106 had guns retrofitted in 1972. But yeah 102 never had guns and falcons wouldn't work in wt
Before i got the demon i liked it a lot bc how it looked and the abbility to use the sparrows ( i didnt know they were so bad) and when i got my hands in it, man it was pure pain, only bad matches where i got deleted by MIGs and R60 and i decided to throw it in the bin and i moved to the F8U and i can say, my constant pain days ended and now i can enjoy looking to my window and watch the shiny days because i moved on from the demon
The demon was my bread and butter back when the best missiles at 9.7 were 20g rear aspects. Only ever took the 9b's and used the demon's underpowered engine and AoA to immediately swing back into enemy planes after they did a pass and then smoke them with the high velocity guns. I loved it so much I bought a talisman for it and used it to grind almost all of rank 6 and 7 and it's still my most played plane a year or 2 later

Glad we got the Skyray too. Now all we need is the F7U Cutlass with AIM-7 beam riding sparrows. I think the Skyray should have sparrows too btw, some early variant as well.
Totally agree on the Century series comment. Would love AIM-4's even if they sucked. AIM-7C is fun, R.511 is fun, AIM-4's would be fun.

The Matra R 511 is the lowest br SARH missile in the game at 8.7. It can be found on Vatour II on the fighter line of France.
This thing would be so much better if they gave it custom loadouts. The ability to carry only 1 Aim7C for the niche areas its useful, carrying 2 belly mounted rocket pods as decoys (I've defeated several R60Ms with them when fired in bursts).
I love this, the F-100 and the F4D I wish I had the F-11 too though it’d be amazing
F-105 is already in game i believe in the bomber line, f-102 delta dart or f-102 delta dagger would make great interceptors
I like using the sparrows, but only about 25% or less of the shots I take hit. The trick is altitude and distance.
The demon's turn time being not what the stat card says is a little to do with its really good initial turn but really poor energy retention long-term. can be a demon (hah) if you don't burn all your energy holding S key until you drop out of the sky.
The aim7C does suck but to be fair to its development and engineering it was never made to shoot down fast movers at low altitude. It was made for bombers at high altitude. Aim7 didn't have legitimate missile for fast movers until the aim7E‐2.

This plane is depressing to play :/ you just immediately get sniped by a missile the moment you lose speed, and you lose speed fast.
I think u ment they should add the F-101 and F-106 (we already have the F-105), I would exclude the F-102 since that never had a gun (option), and if the AiM-7C are bad the AIM-4 Falcon would be just a large and expensive firework (only has 5 confirmed kills in its entire service life). But I would not mind those in the game, and the F-111, along with some long needed top bombers like the B-58 Hustler (B-1 Lancer one day ... maybe). Not to mention their British and Russian counterparts.

G'day, Hm I really should try out this Demon someday yet it won't be today.
Now I don't know which of all machines you've ever fielded but might I suggest the AJ-37 as an option to review, Or on the rarer side well not rare but you don't often see them in battle the F-100A or the Q-5L (absolutely stunning colour scheme from the 10th anniversary), Or say the Maryland? (Martin Model 167 A-3).
Yeah the other century fighters (F101 Voodoo, F102 Delta Dart and/or F106 Delta Dagger) whould be awesome! Especially the Voodoo.
The first thing my friend told me when I let him know I got the F-3H was "Don't get too excited about the AIM-7's"

I got an aim 7 kill the second time i fired one. I carry 2 of each and you really have to keep that radar pointed at the target to get an sparrow kill.
The aim 9c on the crusader is better honestly, but if your doing ahead on with aim 7c you have to do it around 7ish km
I am a firm believer that we need a short nose F-11F in the tech tree at 9.0

well we already have century series, F-100 super saber, F-104 starfighter, F-105 thunderchief, and F-4C phantom (F-110A specter)
Edit: unless you are trying rear aspect shot with AIM-7C do not try to use ACM mode on radar ACM mode only see anything within 5km, and with head on that is way too short for the sparrow

Your videos are great, but the volume tend to be noticeably lower than volume in other videos, by other creators. It's a nuisance having to increase the volume to hear you in your videos, only to then have to turn it back down after the video is over.
I think your videos would benefit from a slight volume boost - we're here because we want to hear you.

2:33, there's an 8.7 vautour w radar guided missiles.
Yesss the Matra R.511, definitely not the best missile out there but it'll give a few people a shock especially those at 7.7 going high lol, Sidenote it's laughable that it's a mod on the Dassault Mirage III yet you start off stock with much better R.530 (I kinda wish the Dassault Milan could carry an R.511 since it cannot carry R.550's yet then it would need a radar set which it doesn't have so RIP).

ACM is trash on the demon, you'll have better luck with the Aim7c by radar locking from long range head on without ACM. Jousting worked well for me in this way, especially since players at this BR usually aren't using chaff (except at full up tiers). Enemies moving sideways or away from you aren't worth the shot since Aim7c isn't fast enough nor can it pull hard enough to hit - it's a head on only weapon 95% of the time.

Been playing w t for a while now and have all nations except Israel ready for jets/rank 6. But
everytime i come close i go to next nation tank1 props. I don't know, this doesn't even look remotely fun

F-100, F-104, and F-105 are all century series planes? The F-101, F-102, and F-106 are all cool airplanes but if they’re made to be true to life they’d all have similar performance characteristics as the ones we already have. I’m also pretty sure they all used AIM-4 Falcons, and if you think the AIM-9Bs are bad…
Voodoo would probably play similarly to the F-100, but the Dart and Dagger would probably play a lot more like the MiG-21 than anything in the US tech tree
@@aether-music except the Dagger didn't have a cannon and had terrible AIM-4 missiles. The Dart was modified after production to fit a cannon but still had the terrible AIM-4 missiles. Both of these planes would be absolute turds in War Thunder due to their miserable armaments.
The only way to make them worth flying is to give them their nuclear missiles, which I'm sure Gaijin won't do.
@@michaelw6277 AIM-4s performed better than you would expect in any environment that wasn’t as humid as Vietnam, otherwise they would have been replaced on every platform that still carried them even despite the high cost and effort required - after all, a fleet of missile interceptors would be useless if their missiles were too
also, much of the reason they sucked in Vietnam wouldn’t be modeled in-game (and if they were, earlier Sparrows would also get absolutely fucked over as well)

This should never go against the SU-25.
This plane is not bad, but as with any plane at that BR bracket with no countermeasures, it's useless as soon as there's all-aspect shit in the game...
I hate guys that attach themselves to your kills like a remora on a shark.
Problem with the F-102/106 is two things:
- No internal cannon, like at all. Not even gun pods.
- AIM-4 Falcons, which require a direct hit to detonate. No proximity fuse
As soon as I heard "it only has aim 9 b" I got disinterested sorry but at that teir it ain't worth it
