If I’m taking heavy stuff, I always go for a backpack. The only way I use a tote is as a secondary bag. Usually go out with just a sling, but when needed I bring a toe bag with a light coat for me and my kid, an umbrella or something like that. Nice review!
That makes sense. I used to use totes a lot, but I don’t find them to be as comfortable or convenient for me…backpacks definitely work better with heavy gear!
I've got the ripstop version of this bag, which is even cheaper as is a bit de-contented, but its still one of the most fully featured tote I've ever used. I actually use a crossbody shoulder strap for it and it works great that way. The bonus with the cheaper material is its not a lint picker upper.
I would never NOT be nervous about putting a water bottle in my bag with a laptop and other electronics. lol My current laptop bag has a bottle holder on the outside which is great but won't hold larger bottles.

I should try that one out. I figured I would like the sturdiness of the version I have, which I do…but I would appreciate less linty-ness!☺️

Haha I hear ya!
