Would you say that this setup is better than the lcv6? I just got one and I am a little disappointed with how the material and colour look in person. I'm debating removing the compression straps like you did but I don't think that would change my feelings enough. I love the different ways that the LCV6 can be worn and attached, but looking at the two bags side by side, I can probably get a similar result with the skyweight and some aftermarket straps and it looks like a much nicer produc to boot.

A very beautiful sling! 3 L seems to be a perfect size too. I would easily miss those three compartments in the middle of the bag, though. It would make more free empty space - one zíper pocket and one or two mesh pockets would do for me. Great review!

I like the small and slim size, but I would put my passaport inside.. the "passaport pocket" only have magnets in the midle, so something slim but really small could fall out, maybe.. i don't know. nice review, as always, Chris!

Really loved this bag and this review! There were only like two videos on this bag before I got it, and this kind of in-depth exploration of the bag was exactly what I was looking for. It's my go-to bag for light uni days, but it's so much comfier to carry than my backpack and I'm now tempted to just use this + a tote

I like that bag, it kind of reminds me of my 5.11 13 litre. That fleece lined pocket would also be good for sunglasses. I'm surprised at all the pockets. I'm not too keen on the gigunda logo on the front. I really like the olive drab color. I agree with your take on zips, they can make or break an otherwise good bag or pack.

I was wondering about the strap placement for this bag, with it being farther back instead of down the center of the bag, does it bounce around or lean forward a lot when carried straight down over one shoulder?

I like it however I went with the Tomtoc Sling Bag as it has RFID Blocking, water resistant nylon, 2 different sizes, and 3 different colors it is a very similar version Crossbody Bag recommended by a different TH-camr.

Nice presentation! Regarding the straps, I would recommend the straps from 5.11 LV6 v.2 if you own this one. I'm right now in the search for a bigger brother of my trusty LV6 edc bag and I'm checking this Skyweight. My only concern is that I also want to carry it as a sling bag and totally not as a point chest bag. I usually wear the LV6 diagonally with the straps attached on its sides (as a fanny pack diagonally on the chest and sling it to the back)

Hey anyway to see a video with the sling on your body? I really like this sling because of the organization. Only finding reviews with men displaying it. I’m an emergency veterinary nurse and need to keep a lot of my everyday things in separate compartments or they get lost in one large compartment and I go digging around looking for things. I have the Lululemon everyday belt bag, there is some organization but def not enough for my needs. But I’m 5’1” and don’t want something large and bulky. Just want the right size for my EDC needs.

I believe they upgraded the fabric when the new colors dropped, I can't really tell with this video if yours has the new but it might be, because the older fabric was indeed a bit of a dust magnet, I have it and tbh it doesn't bother me that much because it has that sort of canvasy feel and it's so elegant and easy to clean anyway. I have the sacoche and they use the new one which is shinier, it's so pretty as well but it feels more modern and high tech. Any way Black Ember makes such bomb products that might be overkill for some people, you just gotta roll with it and adapt and I'm sure anyone can enjoy one of their bags.
