You need to watch the performance from a few years back, just before Kenny passed away, of him & Lionel singing this tune together at an awards show. Seeing the love & friendship between them is just beautiful. A must see. Kenny also tells the story of Lionel writing this one. Lionel also released this tune himself a year after Kenny did. The little quiver thing Keny does with his voice is his signature sound. He is known for that & it's funny to see Lionel do it for a laugh while singing this one together. Check out 'Coward of the County' or 'The Gambler' or 'Lucielle' for a whole different side of Kenny. They are mini movies with a story to tell.

30 yrs. after this song came out, Kenny and Lionel did a duet of this song live, in concert. Kenny gives an account of how the two of them collaborated on the song It is a priceless moment to see the two of them sing together and the genuine friendship that they shared.
