The music was purer back then, not enhanced artificially, try anything by Queen, Bee gees- Fanny be gentle with my heart,their songs are some of the best you'll ever hear. But the world is your oyster just cherry pick from 70s, 80s and 90s and I'll follow .

As a proud member of the older baby boomers generation I think we grew up with some of the most talented musicians EVER. You will have to be as old as I am to listen to all of them and their fabulous music, BUT the trip will be worth your time if you are a real music lover. You’ll probably never see this but I just found your channel & here I am starting at the beginning 🤗 I was 9 when this came out & takes me back to when listening to the stereo or albums was much more impactful than it is today because we had music & 6 tv channels, some of which actually shut down at midnight 😂
Great first reaction Chad! I became a country fan in the 70s when I only had AM radio because the two pop/rock stations went talk radio. Not a fan of what I’ll call old-times twangy country (but that doesn’t mean I don’t think they were talented). But I love 70s country and all leading up through the now country crossover. Love Keith Urban (pick a song of his where he has a rockin’ guitar solo and he can shred like no other!). My first favorite country artist, and I still love him since 4th grade, is John Denver.. he used to have a variety show as did Glen Campbell that my family watched. A more recent, but still older, “crossover” was Dan Fogelberg, who I did see live. Sadly, all these people have passed... I do believe, unless I’m misremembering, that Lionel Ritchie also recorded Lady. In that same vein, I’m not sure Kenny Rogers had that strong a gravel until he got older. But women used to stop my dad in the deli aisle of the supermarket and ask him if he was Kenny Rogers because he also had a big shock of white hair. Dad passed in 2001 but I’ll always remember that and chuckle. Lady is one of my fave Rogers/Ritchie songs.
THE 70S MUSIC IS THE BEST. Chad there are actually better performances of this by Kenny and with him and Lionel doing a duo....and Lionels version is fabulous too❣❣
To me a singers is not a good one if got use every thing like computers and all that shit. This is how a true singer is. He don't got to use nothing. He's older here than he was when he released the song. Try "Reuben James", and "The Gambler". Also "islands in the Stream" with Dolly Parton.
