In 2:08 Kliuka with that nasty supper inner cross shot! A shocker hahaha! David Smith especially, the ball went over his head to his side haha. Nice play Egor Kliuka!
Since only 12 players are allowed in olympics NEXT MONTH. Given the limited time to train, it’s really wise for the US team to utilize their bench more and not let their starters play except for Micah and Shoji. Giving their 2nd stringers much needed exposure and experience before going to the Olympics. And as much as I want Micah to not play and rest, still I understand that his role as a setter is important in order to improve his connection and chemistry with his spikers.

The russian team has to be one of the favorites! they have such a deep squad, they can change key player for other key players, change the game, the pace, I mean, they didn´t even used, poletaev, Muserskyi, Volkov and Volvich at all!
They will be big touble for any team!

@@yangmarc525 You are right! But you know, the Russians tend to be much more relaxed to play against lower ranking teams like Japan or China or Australia... But they tend to get really tense when they play against their arch enemies like USA or Brazil. In particular, the Russians get very mobilized against the USA because there is this historical rivalry or even animosity against the US. This why they win!

Russia just has so much depth and talent in every position. Remember, they don't even have Iakovlev in VNL, who was like the 3rd best middle-blocker in Europe this season, only behind Simon and Kochanowski. And he is as good as Kochanowski tbh. Some other guys they don't even need are players of the caliber of Butko, Zhigalov, Alexander Volkov, Bragin, Likhosherstov, Samoilenko, Obmochaev, Shcherbakov.
Their squad depth is formidable 🇷🇺

Семышев хуйней занимался. Слишком слабый игрок. Бьет на отъебись, принимает через раз, подает более менее, но тоже раз на раз не приходится.

First time watching both teams. How strong they are🤯
It's crazy. USA didn't have their best player (Matt Anderson) and I don't see our starting middles either. Still, Russia is a bear!
Members from USA's A team were missing (Max Holt, Aaron Russell, Taylor Sander & Matt Anderson). Only the setter Micah Christenson, a middle David Smith & the libero Erik Shoji cannot beat Russia's powerhouse. However, when both A teams were playing, US emerged victorious.

@@marcin-vo6pu they was born there, true, but moved to Russia at the start of professional career. I'm from Ukraine, indeed for professional sportmen moving to Russia opens much more better opportunities, especially from financial and competitive side
As good as DeFalco is right now he still needs maturity and calm attitude, trying to get ahead of himself too much. For sure thou he will eventually be a leader like Karch Kiraly was for the 1984 1988 usa teams!
Is it just me or does anyone else find his negative body language and reactions to his teammates making mistakes annoying? I noticed this ever since he was playing at Long Beach. I know he is TALENTED but idk, that just never sat right with me
@@1996jdee 100% you are right. He is talented alright but would be far better if he was humbler. That is why US players have a hard time developing overseas, they think that by playing ncaa div 1 ball makes them stars when Russian, Argentinian, Italian, and Brazilian countetparts are playing pro at that age. It doesn't help either that in the US volleyball is looked down upon for guys and doesn't receive the treat that baseball, football, or basketball receives.

There was actually a point where Tj Defalco was ignoring Erik Shoji. It was after they had miscommunication on who would get the first ball. Ended up nobody received the ball and Russia scored a point. Defalco should've shrugged it off and moved on. Erik Shoji is one of the best libero's in the world but there will be times where he'd fail as a libero. Defalco seems to want everybody to play perfect volleyball. I mean, he's not even a hundred percent efficient most of the time so I don't understand where this attitude is coming from.
His had this attitude from Long Beach too... 🤷🏻♂️

Defalco’s frustrating reaction at 1:13 towards Ben Patch getting single blocked is so unnecessary. I mean yes it was a perfect opportunity for their team to get that point but c’mon Patch only did what he had to do. It was just so unfortunate that there was a coverage from Russia. All the best players from each team have been single blocked in their entire career. Defalco really needs to calm down. That diva attitude won’t do it.
I will definiyely have the same reaction as Defalco had, Patch should step up, the maturity and Volleyball IQ of Patch is something my brain cannot process. Like what the F**k, hes playing since 2017 and he plays Inconsistenly inconsistent . That really is frustrating!

I get it..Defalco would have swallowed a chill pill and not reacted that way but sometimes patch relies only on his vert to get kills.
Trust me...Defalco's demeanor on the court is sooooo toxic! Just watch every single match from this VNL and tell me you don't notice his toxic attitude every single match. It's annoying and I wished they kick him off the National Team.
Patch could have tipped it, or hit it down the line. He drove it directly into the block and that is amateur hour.
