@@amhkm9034 Density had nothing to do with it. You have a country with 2 million people that can put so many top notch athletes. Where you have a place that have 2 million people and can produce so many good athletes of any kind?
Every once in a while comes a team that flies under the radar....waiting for their chance to shine. Slovenia is coming out blazing. I really hope they make it to the final 4.

Slovenia is one of the biggest surprises for me this season. They were not even present in the past two years of VNL and now, they just made great debut and tops the standings. This team would still improve and possibly become a bigger threat the next coming years. I am a fan now.

Slovenia is really a good example of a team making every defense to offense and that really made them win this match!!!
Along with other games they’ve lost, this one should tantamount to a whooping wake-up call to the US team. Don’t know what’s really happened with them during the entirety of this tournament, but they’re totally underwhelming! They should regroup and reassess and the coaching side should reevaluate their OG choices! Though I love US team, but I’m rooting also for the Slovenians as they leave an imprinting heck of a topnotched performance, at least for this competition. Them slapping this come-from-behind (albeit 2-1 lead by US in set) is a big-big moral booster for them and an egoistic knockout-like win against the US. Seeing Slovenia (gradually becoming my favorite team now) vindicating against those doubters, US also should go out of their beds now (especially those IMO, not be the starters or should’ve not been for their OG roster). Just my two cents.
they gave up VNL already, i don't think they care much about the next 2 matches 😐
I’d change the coaching staff. John Speraw’s style has gotten old and other teams have caught up.

@@ericapereira4327 Sim, faz tempo. Na VNL só passam 4, Brasil se classificou e Polônia e Eslovênia tão quase classificadas. O 4 lugar vai ficar entre França, Russia ou Servia.

Sérvia ,slovenia fazia parte da falecida luguslavia. É uma escola muito respeitada no mundo do vôlei o Brasil quase perdeu mas consegui reverter 3x2 . Só pra lembrar
Como Yugoslávia foram campeões olímpicos em Sydney (2000) na final contra a ex-União Soviética (CEI). Hoje são seis países independentes e destes seis quatro deles tem um ótimo Vôlei com destaque para a Sérvia e a Eslovênia !

I don’t understand why they took out matt Anderson and Taylor sanders. Especially Taylor sanders. Seems like speraw doesn’t want to win that much, I guess he is focused in the Olympics. I just hope he doesn’t make those poor substitute changes in the Olympics
Didn't watch the full match, but can imagine. Ensing and even Patch is still miles behind Anderson.
@@ristomakela2334 patch isn't at the vnl anymore, I think he got sent home so they could work on the Olympic team.

it's kind of reasonable to stress-test the olympic bench players, to see if they can withstand the pressure when it really matters. If Speraw starts with these bench players directly, it will just be a 0-3 lose for the US team. Coz winning this match or not, they wont be entering the final 4 anyway, more chance should be given to these back-up players.
@@hongxppy You’re probably right. As a USA fan I want to see a win against a top team. I’m just hoping it is that versus him thinking he is making smart subs. You see teams like Brazil almost always playing their top players to increase their chemistry and winning atmosphere for the Olympics. Brazil would never take out their top player on 23-20 on the 4th set…
funny to see Americans say 'a team under the radar or underdogs' lol. You know there is volleyball outside of the USA right? Slovenia is one of the best and has been for years.
When you say the best, do you mean placing top 3 in Olympics, winning trophies in VNL and world championships?

A gente piscou e a França se tornou uma potência no vôlei masculino, agora a mesma coisa está acontecendo com a Eslovênia. O vôlei masculino está mil vezes mais competitivo e atrativo de ver do que o feminino onde há uma hegemonia de anos onde há um seleto grupo que sempre vence tudo (Brasil, China e EUA).
França é só momento e estão em boa fase ,eles não são consagrados igual Brasil Rússia EUA Itália ...esses ganharam muitos títulos.
A frança só ganhou duas ligas mundiais.
E a Eslovênia é o povo que sobrou da antiga yugoslavia que sempre foram feras em voley e basquete.
@@Braz438 Mas eu não disse que a França é consagrada, eu só disse que eles viraram potência. E quanto a Eslovênia esse argumento de "foi o que sobrou da Iugoslávia" não faz sentido, pois se não era pra todos os países terem ser tornado potências, o que só ocorreu com a Sérvia que é uma boa seleção mas de nível intermediário.
