what do you think about bar keepers friend? Also had a question for ya. when doing these methods, does it wear off that smoky and kurouchi finish on the blade?
Only problem with high carbon steel is the rusting brilliant steel for a knife easy to sharpen and holds a nice sharp edge but the rust is the only thing to worry about but with these tips this should help. I also use Japanese knife oil to look after my Japanese knives.
But I AM panicking! Got a new high carbon fixed blade and noticed a tiny spot of rust on the handle just under the blade. It’s so new and pretty. I want to keep care of it. Hopefully this vid will help

Rust erasers are a must have, in my opinion. Very light pressure though. I use them to clean some of my stones and cast iron too.
Great stuff. You should also do a video on how to repair or home make an aesthetic kurouchi finish on the face of a blade by boiling the rust.

Now that the knife is clean you can start working on your language. Started watching with my six year old. Just saying. Good luck on your channel.
Maybe don't watch knife videos with your 6 year old? Just saying. Maybe don't watch at all, if you don't like something. Nobody cares what you think.
