I appreciate the real world reporting you offered here. Based on the thumbnail, I assumed it would be another “chicken little, falling sky” Stellantis bashing, but was completely surprised. You’re right on all points and every time I’ve been at my local CDJR Dealer, it has been busy. We recently bought a new Grand Cherokee L for a family hauler and love it. Six weeks in, 4,300 miles on the clock and it’s a dream to drive. We were happy with the deal we got and it had been on the lot somewhere around 2-3 weeks.
A friend just hit the 300,000-mile mark on his 2018 RAM Limited 3.0L Turbodiesel and wanted to replace the truck before any problems crept up. He uses the truck for business and relies on the truck to be dependable. He came home with a new RAM with the 3.0L Hurricane Dual-Turbo a loaded limited in Delmonico Red with an interior to kill for. Beautiful build quality, gorgeous interior, beautiful paint, chromed wheels, etc. I want one too!
I'm not completely sold on the 3.0 Hurricane. I'm an old guy I guess, I still miss the 318 and 360. Those were great engines. Remember The Li'l Red Express.

Just torn on engine options. I'll steer clear of the etorque and probably wait a little longer to see how the hurricane pans out.
I'd love to have a huge bag of money so I could see how good of a deal I could get on a 2024 Rubicon late this year. Would be such a blast grinding the living daylights out of the local stealership that's got over 100 Wranglers collecting dust.
@SirGreta I know 3 people with rho trucks on order and 2 of them got 10 grand off msrp . Even Tim from pickup truck News has one on order and got it for low 60s

Can you do a video on RAM transmission. Aren’t they’re suppose to come with a better transmission? I plan on buying a RAM 2500 HD, would like your opinion!
I love all ram transmissions. My 2019 ram 2500 Cummins had the "rfe" Trans (or what ever ram called it) and it was flawless for the 90k miles I owned it and thst truck made 11 cross country trips pulling 8k pounds. The asin Trans has always been rock solid. On the new 25 Trans reliability we won't know until time is out but I believe it's designed and built for commercial use in school busses steak trucks, and heavy duty applications. The same one is used in the ram HD trucks. So it should be super strong and reliable. Time will tell. But if I was buying a new HD truck today it would be a ram 2500!
You can compare and analyze all day long but the bottom line is...Jeeps are not selling,in my area anyway, dealers have rows of Wranglers and Gladiators that have been sitting on their lots for more than 4 months and I don't think they have sold any in the last month,we have 2 Jeep Ram dealers in my city and both are loaded with both Wranglers and Gladiators.
@@Jason-Samko I think the 2025 will be coming in shortly and these dealers are loaded with 24s..they have a lot of price cutting to unload the ones they have.
@user-mb4wh2xf5c the key to jeep and ram right now is knowing how to negotiate. I personally hope they stay priced high on window stickers. The window stick keeps the value high and I can get 20-30% off of thst when I buy them making ram and jeep the smartest buy available today. Basically free to drive. And on top of that thry offer quality thst is at the very top of the charts.
C’mon man, while apparent that they make “quality” vehicles they fall apart! Engine mounts on new Grand Cherokee at 2-3k miles, new door panels at 4k, recalls out of the wazooo with no fixes because they haven’t found a solution, yeah nope. Maybe, maybe is we Americans got used to mediocre quality and get mesmerized by shiny things but there is no pride in quality at these plants.
@DUNEATV mine too. Flawless and as I've shown in a video real world fit and finish and quality rivals anything out there today. In a world of cheap disposable vehicles give me solid front axle, tank like durability and ability to repair myself and parts availability.
@@Jason-Samko I hear you! But should I be worried this early in? No but I am. My JK was flawless, my CG WK2 was flawless. Thinking it’s the same drivetrain was a safe choice but this one got me good.

@@Jason-Samko I live in the land of the Big 3 ( Michigan ) and ... RC has it that a deal is in the mix , of BYD buying some of the CDJR brands and the HQ building .
I don't know about "nowhere near". They have excellent design language and solid quality interior materials for sure. But Ford top trims (King Ranch, Platinum, Limited) are close and I'd say the Denali Ultimate and AT4x is on par. The key is, what's the functionality and reliability like? Ford and GM have more intuitive setups with the screen and button arrangement, and their infotainment systems are far more stable and consistent, especially Ford's. I'll take that over slightly nicer trim lines and slightly more soft touch material in places I never touch.
@davidmengle8269 the internet tells me thst is happening but I think it's probably a number like 1 in a thousand. Cause I have never seen it on a new or used wrangler or gladiator and I've literally inspected a thousand of them with all the time I spend at dealerships. And if corrosion happens jeep is taking care of it the right way and for a long time. I have a fill video on it
I don't know about Jeep but Ram paint is garbage. Will chip just by looking at it funny. Obviously a cost-cutting measure. Chevy paint isn't much better. GMC paint is a notch above. My Ford has the best paint job I've ever had on any vehicle. Say whatever else you want about Ford, they do paint right.
@SliderFury1 yep ford paint holds up best. Jeep paint is super tough as well. Worst paint, softest weakest was on my 22 tacoma. However paint on my 23 4 runner is much better. Weird how all this things work
