    What about the Repalcement Period of Batteries and how Much ? If efficiency is comparable between there three ,this is to be taken in to account?

    The Vitara is the complete package. I really hope all future Suzuki vehicles pick up cues from the same.
    Also. The Seltos still looks stunning as always.

    Driving vitara in city traffic is a pleasant experience compared to the other cars no doubt. While test driving I had few doubts but it was not answered.
    1.The MID never shown a mileage more than 19.8 kmpl whether it is city or on highways.
    2. The car I test driven has driven for 600 km and as per MID the accumulated mileage was 17.6 only.
    3. When the battery is fully charged it was driving on ev mode at less than 40 kmph. However I noticed that the charge of the battery is draining out very fast and then it run on full petrol mode at slower speeds.
    I think more user reviews only will provide answer to this.

    Creta seems a better deal ....lot of boot space, in cabin space...if one want to go for hybrid...then it should certainly be Toyota Hyryder.....but that quality of sunroof blind on GV & TH is just poor.

    But what about the less boot space!? Also, i think Grand Vitara while driving will full load of passengers, and luggage will struggle and feel Underpowered.

    I have a creta sx o IVt , which delivers about 18 kmpl when kept between 60 to 85 kmphr , also overtaking never felt a problem, if you feel under powered just slide the gear in to sports mode , it make lots of difference, of course cannot compete with the turbo petrol, but still it's fine, On the other hand every CVT gear box in any car is best suited for relaxed driving,

    People might start not exactly wanting/needing any Diesel cars when comprehensively it would be established that hybrid cars are providing 30+ kmpl with negligible power drop as compared to diesel, for the same price.

  • @vijaykumar-vp7dd
    @vijaykumar-vp7dd ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I have been driving a hybrid for over 10+ years in USA. Hybrid’s give more mileage in city because of stop and go every time you coast to a stop the battery charges. At low speeds on flat road you can drive in electric(EV) mode for 5-8KM plus the electric motors helps with the initial takeoff at signal lights and that is the reason for high mileage.

  • @aravindbnr
    @aravindbnr ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Test drove the grand vitara strong hybrid 3 times in different nexa outlets in chennai, firstly most of them have stock and are ready to give the car , so 5 month waiting period is B.S .
    The build quality of the car seems to Maruti like , nothing like the vw or Xuv 700
    The car handles really well , but whenever the petrol engine kicks in it feels like some weird fan is running.
    Average mileage shown was around 16 kmpl
    Overall 24L on road is a bit too much for this car.

  • @abhishekpawar5126

    Diesel is still the king of Highway
    If you only drive in the city it's better to go for electric
    Hybrid and Petrol is pointless now

    Man diesel is the best pick of all 3 it’s just a no nonsense engine hefty torque at all rpm’s, carries lot more luggage with 5 passengers with ease, comfortable for all passengers, running cost not much of a difference will definitely pick diesel.

    The cost difference between Hybrid and petrol/ Diesel cars means that one would take 4 to 5 years to recover the cost. But within 5 years your saved money will almost double. Thus a Hybrid makes sense only if you drive more than 50 km or so every day on average.

    @Gavin
    I'm planning to get a diesel car in Delhi. I'm split between the Venue Splus and Creta E Diesel. I have below concerns:
    Is it a good idea to get a diesel car in 2022? I'm planning on keeping it for atleast 5 years and not sure if diesel would still be an option in future.
    My second concern is which one to pick. Venue gives more features but Creta is iconic and has better road presence.
    Please advice as I've already sold my old car and need to make a call ASAP.

    It's good that Grand Vitara offers more efficiency than those unsafe korean SUVs and are closely matched on features, but obviously is expensive coz it's hybrid. What is left to know is the Global NCAP rating of Grand Vitara.

  • @ramchaitanya572

    summing up reasons not to buy the vitara hybrid:
    1. almost 60000km for breakeven means more than 7 years worth of driving for most people and most customers of this price category do replace their cars after 7 years. do note that the lithium ion battery warranty of vitara runs out after 8 years. with the hybrid technology new for indian conditions, who knows what kind of problems and expenses people might encounter.
    2. if you breakdown in the middle of nowhere, nobody can help you except the authorised service centre people. even though maruti's service centers are everywhere, i highly doubt absolutely ALL (towns and villages) of the service centers will be able to diagnose and fix the hybrid vitara as skillfully as their city counterparts.
    3. just picture yourself doing your airport/intercity runs with half your luggage on the seats just like you do with all the CNG cabs of delhi.
    4. that "not so opaque" blind on the panaromic sunroof is gonna fry vitara customers during summers in northern india even if AC is ON, just wait and watch.
    5. wait for the global NCAP crash test results.
    6. do you really want to spend 24lac on a car with a "maruti suzuki" badge?(buy the city eHEV, just kidding, it has the same problems as this)
    7. creta and seltos are far ahead in fit and finish.
    its a great technology. full scale adoption of EVs is still few years away and strong hybrids are the way to go for the time being in order to get the most miles out of a drop of petrol and reduce emissions. government should provide more incentives to the auto industry to bring more competition into the strong hybrid space.

    A problem here is, for a people who wants to buy a efficient car under a budget of 15 lakhs without breaking the bank, the present hybrids are too costly, so with rumoured adblue coming up for the diesels in Hyundai and Kia, a guy will easily go for the diesels for all practicality

  • @vijaykumar-vp7dd
    @vijaykumar-vp7dd ปีที่แล้ว +2

    In hybrid cars the wear and tear is significantly less the break pads lasts almost twice the mileage of regular cars because when you remove the leg from accelerator the car starts charging the li-ion battery which causes friction and reduce the speed of the car.

  • @nageshwagh2476
    @nageshwagh2476 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    More the electronics and more advance means heavy on maintenance and more chances of failures. Hybrid is a little risky when the battery fails suddenly. Also battery costs and any failure cost will be a severe hit for any buyer.
