I got Elevate last month and here is my my view on the same.
    1. Interiors won’t feel very plush but it’s very comfortable and easy on eyes. Hence pricing is much competitive.
    2. Moonroof is just wide enough. I strongly believe Panasonic sunroof is just a show as it compromises the integrity of the car from roof side.
    3. Elevate is good for people upto height of 6 feet. I am 5’11 so it’s just alright. Bonet view is superb and is notch above all the cars in this segment.
    4. Engine options are lacking however Honda Engines are much reliable than all the engines in competition.
    5. As rightly pointed while driving, superb control and ride quality is very good.
    6. Yes 3 people in back is bit cramped however it’s good for family (me, wife, dad, mumma, and 4 year old kid)
    7. Engine is noisy but what’s worth its take off after RPM of 3. It’s just a 🚀.
I think price wise it’s a decent purchase and infact if driven nicely in cities it will give average of 12 13 KMPL. Will share the update after first service of the car.

      elevate : glorified 4 seater.
no headrest for 5th passenger. primitive lap belt for 5th passenger. rear AC vent intrudes into 5th passenger.
honda had so much time to make things right but they were lazy.

Hyundai Creta: The undisputed king of the market.
Kia Seltos: A luxurious avatar of the Hyundai.
Grand Vitara: The VFM pick of the lot. Just look at the package.
VW Taigun: For the enthusiasts in the market who want pure power.
Honda Elevate: The new kid on the block with Honda City reliability.

I see more emphasis is more on feel good factors like sun roof than safety ratings, ADAS, reliability, long term maitainance, handling and high speed stability factors. These are key things that a review should emphasise so that new buyers can make an informed choice.
Feel good things are something a potential buys can experience in showrooms. Howevers reviews and comparisons like this video should highlight the other factors

As a customer its a win win situation for us.. There are so many rival cars in this category and all are fantastic products in their own way.. For different requirement, there is something available there. Kushaq and astor are also there.. Curvv will be launched in few months. Don't hate any product guys.. Every product has its own USP, if not then the segment will be killed just by creta and GV. Ultimately we are winners due to luxury of 6-8 multiple products. 🔥🔥🔥

I will share a way to judge a car for yourself if you are out to get one (works with every other kind of comparo).
    1. Break the whole scoresheet into different categories. Keep the number games out, just what you feel. Like comfort, not the suspension setup. Agility, not the power figure.
    2. Give every category a multiplier score like from 1 to 5 based on how much you want from that category.
    3. Score each car. It's always best to have all the stakeholders score and average them up.
    4. Multiply the individual score with the multiplier for that category
    5. Add up all the multiplied scores.
    6. To factor in the price (if thats a concern) then you can minus that from a set number. Like here minus from 20. And give 20L car a 0, and 12L car an 8 (or 4 if it's 1-5).
    7. You can add an addendum to reflect your personal liking (but that makes it less objective.)
    Try it!

Im using GRAND VITARA alpha automatic smart hybrid variant. What AUTO CAR reviewr said in this review is absolutely right. I have done 3500kms. It is exactly the same opinion i have about the car. I felt the car to be little slow apart from that the car feels smooth and refined when you are not driving it in a hurry. It is a proper family car for a matured driver who doesn't wanna drive like a rally driver. Chassis of grand vitara is highly capable of having a much powerful engine but maruti prefers mileage as a selling point to indian customers. In city i get 14 and on highway easily 20.5 and above. The gearbox and engine is so tuned from mileage. Automatic grand vitara is very smooth and relaxing to drive.

If there is a Honda, its a no brainer. You have to give it to the engine. Ideally the comparison shud have been b/w the naturally aspirated Honda engine Vs natural or turbo, doesn't matter, of others. Honda wins it hands down. Cars should have more weightage for their engine, that way comparison will be better.

Hope tata curve will be a proper 5 seater with 5 star rating. Elevate dissapoints with rear seat that only suits for 2. Does anybody knows when curve will launch?

The Korean car makers are chosen not by enthusiasts, they are chosen by people who want more sans quality... The dimensions should be compared with evidence that a common man can understand... On paper 50mm is big but in reality, it is 2 inches

    Elevate
    Would have been great
If you would have spoken about the quality of switches, door panels and most importantly the lack of under thigh support in both rows
The interiors - those chunky seats look a tad below it's class
    High NVH levels
Spoke about heat / sunny days twice but couldn't mention the ventilated seats in🤔 VW

Paying for Base mode vw & skoda >>> Mid model Maruthi, Honda & Hyundai. You can get Škoda Kushal from 13.7 l which is great deal if you ask. Just take a test drive and see for yourself.
