Nice video. Very complex and largely overlooked synth. It was the pinnacle of Yamaha’s CS black range and also in my opinion a fabulous looking synth. Could never afford one 40 years ago all i could run to was the CS10 such was life.
Thanks. Yes, the CS-30 is complex, perhaps overly so. It is not a typical monosynth signal path or layout, but that leads to unexpected results at times. The CS10 is also great, perhaps you will be able to acquire a CS30 sometime in the future. :)
stunning sounds man. that effects pedal seems like the perfect synth pedal. are the two lines (the noisy beat sequence and what you're playing on the keyboard) different voices of the synth?
Thanks! Eventide Pitchfactor can be a lot of fun. Yes, in this demo I used the 2 separate voices of synth to split the audio between percussion vs lead.

I had a CS30 for many years paid £120 for it in 1988, sold in 2005 for £680, never missed it much, I found the sounds a bit limiting and harsh.
