These radios have every limited capabilities. The radio unit in my ‘17 pacifica needs replacing due blacking out and “not accepting any new updates” according to the dealership. It came back on and is working fine for now but would this product be the same as the radio replacement I was advise to do? Will the features such as the two screen theater and backup cam still work smoothly?
This would be a replacement rather than an update. The update explanation sounds somewhat dubious. All of your existing functionality would continue to work as designed if you decide to upgrade to the UAV If you don't want a complete upgrade, you may be able to have your existing radio repaired. We don't offer 360 degree cameras for the Pacifica. The UAQ does not support wireless Android Auto. Because these are factory units, they come with only the factory functionality that existed when the equipment was manufactured. You can get an inexpensive Bluetooth adapter that works via the radio's USB port that will provide wireless Android Auto capability.

My current head unit controls the movies that are shown on the kids screens in the second row and allows me to control sending the audio through the car speakers. Does this unit allow that same functionality?
This is a plug and play factory OEM upgrade package that maintains the factory integrity of your vehicle. That being said, as long as the rear entertainment is also a factory OEM feature, it will have no issues functioning with this upgrade package.

This is a UConnect 4 unit. UConnect 4 requires the wire.

Looks like white protective plastic that peels off.
No replacement USB hub is needed.

No. This is a UConnect 4 radio. UConnect 5 introduced wireless Apple CarPlay.
