Thank you for this video! I have what looks like the exact same mower (John Deere 737z) and it developed the same issues a week ago. I was checking the plugs, etc... but your video showed me how to get to the coils and check them. That was the issue. Replaced a bad coil and it fired up normally again. Saved me lots of $$ on a service call.

Great video! I can't figure out how the linkage form the throttle to governor is connected.
Was it backwards, or was it just reversed as it’s flipped 180 L vs R?
