It was a really nice video. The way you explained things was awesome. I am Dr Kanchan from BIBO, and I would like to add that it is very important for people with asthma to know what is actually triggering their symptoms. It may help to reduce both frequency and the severity of asthma. As a majority of people with asthma may be allergic to something, it is better to get an allergy test done.
I suffered with bronchial asthma at the age of 81and half years . I have used all allopathic ayurvedic homeo medicines I could not get relief. Situation was serious. Then I have stopped taking salt and oil ghee milk and butter milk. Then I have got good relief. And save myself from death.
Great video! My only comment is that on your diagram of mast cell sensitization and degranulation (3:00) you show the Fc portion of the IgE attaching to the antigen, and the variable region attaching to the mast cell. It should be the other way around (and they have to cross-link). Thank you for explaining everything so clearly and in such an entertaining way!
Hey Medicosis, I have no words to explain how much I love your videos! You really help me a lot. I'm a physician already and now I am trying to get ny medical license transferred to Norway. Hence me studying all over. I have a question about this video. You said that treating GERD has no effect on the asthma outcome and I'd respectfully beg to differ. Once you lower the microaspirations you lower the episodes of exacerbations. That's what I learned and personally experienced as an asthmatic patient myself. (Severe persistent asthma, yay me). Care to expand on this point? Beforehand, I appreciate your attention. Again, thank you so very much for your videos, words can't express how much I love your dynamic and didactic explanations. Since I am here, I wonder if you could ever do a series on immunology. It is literally the only test I failed on my first try in my 6 years of medical school. I passed on my second chance, but only through mechanical memorization, never understood it. And as you know, vital to all areas of medicine... God bless you.
