    I'm not a medical person but I do suffer from Eosinophilic asthma and thanks to the biologic treatment I am doing much better, I am fascinated by the body's responses to triggers that set off the cascade of events that create an attack and the mind boggles at how you have all researched so much and found out all this microscopic information. I took place in a year long study of my symptoms including many blood tests, respiration tests and lung biopsy, which wasn't as bad as it sounds, but i want to say thank you to all you amazing doctors and students that help someone like me have a life that would otherwise be almost impossible to live. Mepolizumab is now given to me in a self administering pen so I can stay away from crowds in the current climate of Covid 19. I am interested if anyone knows however, if there have been any differences in the medicine's efficacy since making it able to have a longer shelf life, after it has been mixed for the injector pen, I ask because I seem to suffer recurring symptoms toward the end of my month before the next dose ( i hope that makes sense ) anyway thanks for the great tutorial, I will look in as an interested layman in future .

      Look into high dose vitamin D3/asthma related research and also try to be gluten and dairy free, and try to add in the curcumin, black cumin seed oil and NAC... All of that improves the Th1 Th2 balance/homeostasis, improves microbime (and immune system overall) and tightens the gaps in the gut wall/improves the gut wall integrity so no autoimmune attack can occur. This way my kid doesn't use inhaler anymore well over a year now. Novak Djokovic the tennis no. 1 also got rid of his asthma by going gluten free and by going the plant based nutrition route with some fish...

    It is also VERY important to mention that you must never give NSAID drugs to asthmatic patients, because it will inhibit cyclooxygenases (COX1 and/or COX2, which would produce prostaglandins, a vasodilator) and thus all the arachidonic acid in the tissue will be forced to go down the pathway of lipoxygenase, producing LEUKOTRIENES, which are vasoconstrictors, and thus worsening the situation even more!

    Asthma attack. Pressing lips together while breathing in keeps lung airways open by reflex. Mouth breathing with slack lips causes asthma due to absence of reflex. Sleep with mouth shut as well.
    I cured my chronic asthma by daily practice of yoga "standing forward bend".

    I have asthma, but I almost cured it by 3 simple steps. These methods are cheap and best :
    1) No animal proteins like egg, mutton, chicken, milk and milk products...stop milk, curd, cheese etc at any cost. Eat simple vegetarian foods.
    2) brisk walking (10 mins) in morning & evening in sunlight. Or cycling / सूर्य नमस्कार / play badminton / lawn tennis.
    3) Ekadashi fasting is must. Have fruits, boiled veggies or soup.
    I learned all these during covid lock down and now I am completely free of asthma, allergies, cold cough.

    I have some questions reagrading asthma pathophysiolgy:
    1) how aspirin and indomethacin cause asthma
    2) why FLC, FRV and FRC are increades in asthma?

    • @elbaseet1547
      @elbaseet1547 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      1) BY inhibition of COX enzyme
      So arachenoid acid will take the pathway of LOX enzyme producing larger amounts of leukotrienes that cause cough and finally increase asthma.

    Breathing in through the nose is a remedy for asthma . Crossing fingers improves respiration as a mudra. Interlacing fingers as when praying also helps as a mudra
    Asthma-paradox means medication causes asthma.

    Hey, always love your work. However I have noticed from your videos that you always draw the pivot in the opposite direction. Think of it as a see-saw, the heavier item/component will always be lower n the lesser component will be higher because it weighs less. In this video, when you talk about the T-helper cells, you say that there are more T-helper 2 cells in Asthmatics n so the pivot should have been lower on the side of T-helper 2.
    In other news, you are amazing and i honestly think you can do so much more. Putting art in such a noble path is truly touching. May God Truly bless you Mr. Hasudungan.

    • @Uroosa_Khan
      @Uroosa_Khan 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      T- helper one is in higher conc in lungs thats why the pivot was indicated lower

    Asthma eradication: Nose breathing and no inhalers and also understanding reflexes.
    According David P. Strachan it is unlikely that trends in either outdoor or indoor air pollution have contributed substantially to the rise in prevalence of asthma and allergic disease in recent decades,
    Then we have the asthma-paradox that for many decades more asthma drugs have led to more asthma. Although acupressure treatment for asthma is widely recommended the points are mostly not on the face.
    However a distinct positive effect on breathing opening up lung airways to counter asthma with wheezing may be felt on pressing the lips together.
    This means we have a simple back to nature approach.
    Accordingly an important cause of asthma is asthma drug addiction.
    So we are left with asthma paradox that more drug treatment has long been associated with more asthma for decades on end.

    I have been diagnosed with either asthma or COPD, the doctor couldn't decide, I have a very productive cough, I run 6 times a week and approximately 40 miles, I have to stop after the first mile to clear my chest, again at two miles and by the third mile my breathing is excellent, I'm 67 and race 5K every week and usually win my age category. My oxygen level is 99% and resting pulse is 42, I am taking Anora Elipta at the moment but worried about using it long term.

    I have asthma (diagnosed at 6) did a load of cardio and it helped a lot but I get allergic based reactions. Especially from smoke machines, but I don't want it to stop me from going out, or working (I do fire tricks) I use my inhaler (ventilin and brown one for serious attacks) which helps but not loads. I was wondering if having a small oxygen breather(non permanent canister) that I could have in my bag would help with relieving symptoms.
    My logic was that seeing as tissue is contracting, decreasing the amount of intake volume of air/O2, having a higher concentration of oxygen will help.
    Only problem I see is CO2 exchange not being affected.

I will be appreciated if you can write clearer or type. these terms are very important and very complicated coming from Latin or Greek languages, The way you write them are very difficult to understand and as you talk very very very fast I am disable :) to catch the lecture properly.
    You are a great teacher and I really appreciated all your videos and your hard works.

    Your video is very informative. My friend is suffering from Asthma problem. He thought it was just a allergy and did not take it serous. But when problem became serious and he got know it is a Asthma then on our other friend suggestion he just follow the home remedies of Planet Ayurveda and also their Asthma care pack and gradually his symptoms starts disappear and now he is completely fine. After seeing results I also become fond of with Planet Ayurveda.
