Pneumonia is very serious. When I was 15 my old school friend died of it she complained of a headache and her mum went to wake her up and she died in her bed and that was devastating.
U should have a proper arrangement of face mask specially at night if u have a such kind of case at ur home bc no one can suddenly die from pneumonia other than severe respiratory problem
The bronchial breath sounds over the trachea has a higher pitch, louder, inspiration and expiration are equal and there is a pause between inspiration and expiration. .... not as u mention in ved .! But thank u 💕

I can't seem to spot this playlist on your channel. Have you created the pulmonary playlist, or are these posted as independent videos? Love your stuff, btw. I am prepping for the PANCE (graduating PA school in a week) and I did a week long-long deep dive into heme by basically just watching your 17,583 videos (or whatever). I honestly would have been better off if I had just watched your videos instead of spending 4 weeks in the class. And I go to a high rated program. So yeah... really appreciate you... Doc?

I was recently given my medical history from childhood from my mother and I noticed something that was maybe interesting? I was always getting sick and taking antibiotics ever since I can remember. Not sure if that point is related, but maybe. To continue, looking over my immunizations records I saw that in 1994 when I was 6yrs, I was hospitalized for pneumonia, and nearly did not survive. That was the only year on record for me having had an immunization for pneumonia. I am passed due for it since 1994 and did not know! Odd to me, but what is more odd maybe is that I have only had the illness in the year I was immunized. I have also had protein in my urine since a young age which I've seen says something about the kidneys, but have never been seen for it. Perhaps I have always gotten sick since a young age is due to my body not filtering correctly and my immune system not functioning properly... Just had me thinking, sorry for my long ramblings. I really enjoy watching your videos, even not as a student. Thanks for your work!
Medicosis Perfectionalis I found out yesterday that I do not have lupus which is good news I suppose. I am just worried now that my problem could be leukemia. They have enrolled me in Oncology insurance, but no one is telling me what that means and I don't see the hematologist until the end of November. I'm looking for a cause other than cancer but I am not relating to other possible causes. The very specific explanation of those with leukemia feeling flu like pains is exactly how I feel often. Hoping I will have an answer soon even if it is not good news. The worry while waiting is nearly impossible to avoid. Trying to stay positive though. Very grateful for your work, you have helped understanding easier for someone not educated in medicine. I hope great things for you!
Thank you. I did more research. So vocal resonance I.e. Your voice resonating (basically being transmitted better) can be manifested in 3 main ways. 1)Egophony - E sounds like A now 2) Bronchophony - voice sounding louder over areas of consolidation 3) Whispering pectoriloquy -whispers which used to be unaudible or barely audible can now be heard clearly
i watch not because im a med student but I'm suffering for months about this chest discomfort, and backpain, but no cough or plem, a little short of breath, x-ray says normal,, and no wheezing sounds,,,
hello, first of all thankyou for making this video. things made a lot more sense after i watched it! i'm currently doing an assignment based on pneumonia and i'm a little confused as to why i can't really find things abt interstitial pneumonia. could i perhaps get a little more information abt this and the reference for it? i want to understand it better and it'll rlly help me,,, i hope you'll respond to this ASAP. thanks again!! :)
You will need to read old and new pulmonology textbooks and compare them together to understand the meanings of the words used, and how they change overtime.

Because most clinical books including macleods have defined bronchial breathing as having inspiratory and expiratory phase being equal in duration. Can you please explain this portion ? There is a difference between what happens in the patient’s lung (expiration is always longer than inspiration), and what you are able to pick up by your stethoscope (normally, you hear only the first 1/3 of expiration, but if there is consolidation “bronchial breathing”, you will hear the whole expiratory phase).
