it was cool, they wanted to use the patriarchy against the kens but this just made the kens realize how they are hurt by it too, and they no longer want it. dunno how ppl interpreted this as anti men i thought it was sweet.
Ryan was an apocalypse in this film, so hilarious and fragile and everything the movie wanted from him. He deserves an oscar nomination! And out of all Barbie songs i believe that "I'm just Ken" deserves best original song the most
Thanks to this film Ken now has his own song just like Barbie does (the one by Aqua).
This movie is so dense with jokes and visual gags that you don't even notice half of them the first time you see it. Your eyes cannot focus on all of the Kens at the same time and each one is doing something different and hilarious.
Hell I barely saw any of the foreground Kens I was laughing so hard... I nearly made a scene in the theater and my girlfriend had to tell me to stop laughing so hard 😂
"Put that manly hand in mine" pure power, man.
The random aggressive dance battle in the middle never fails to kill me
That one song is the only thing people are remembering from the movie. This was spectacular scene.
5:02 Scott Evans in the cowboy hat realizes he forgot to vote and mouths "Oh my God".
The instrumental synth break at 3:00 is fire!
As someone whose name is Ken, I find this a very relatable song.
You’re just Ken and you’re enough and I’m sure you’re great at doing stuff
Where I see love she sees a friend, Holy hell, that line hits me so hard.
Ik it’s a “Barbie” movie but let’s be honest…the kens are the best part
I love how Barbie had some cameos in this Ken movie
Who would've thought a movie about dolls could have such an empowering scene for men
Ken's storyline was what I paid the most attention.
It was the only part of the movie that really deserved the attention
@@tijmen131no,it wasn't the only part
@@CTladiesmanyeah it was
I did like Barbie's existential crisis, but Ken's story was my favorite part
@@Collat3ralD4mage why??
The guy screaming bloody murder like his flesh is being melted off by the sparkles cracks me the fuck up every time.
"I'll see you on the Malibu beach" cracks me up! Idky why. LOL.
It’s a reference to Malibu Barbie and Ken-for some reason they always lived in Malibu and yes also parallel with D-Day and Saving Private Ryan. If you didn’t have Barbies you’ll couldn’t have known about Malibu Ken
I love Simu Liu performance, he just nails this scene 😊
“I’LL SEE YOU ON THE MALIBU BEACH” 😂😂
Can you explain the reference? Cause I don’t get it 🥲
@@megem616 what do you mean
I belive the phrase "I'll se you on the Malibu beach" is supposed to be a reference to some movie or something but I don't know it so I don't get the joke here 🥲
@@megem616 I just wrote that comment because it’s just funny 😆
@@megem616 Because the OG blonde hair tan surfer style ken was called "Sun Lovin’ Malibu Ken" it came out in 1979
I hate how this song gets more addictive every time I hear it.
After All these years, we have the perfect counterpart to Aqua’s Barbie Girl
Someone needs to make a mashup of the two songs.
Wasted opportunity to not have Barbie Girl on the soundtrack (no the Nicki Ninaj does not count!)
@@DHynes5Mattel have a bad relationship with Aqua. They made Barbie Girl without Mattel’s permission and it wasn’t even a song about Barbie, listen to the lyrics more closely, it’s about a woman wanting to be treated like a sex doll by her boyfriend
Just wanted to add that Ryan Gosling has been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar.
Dude broke his back carrying the whole movie so he definitely deserves it
he was the real protagonist of this move got the most screentime and carried the show
3:56 EPIC ENTRANCE
1:50 Dudes in the background just folk dancin' 😂
I’ve watched this scene so many times and never noticed that
This scene’s a fucking masterpiece
“I am enough, and I’m great at doing stuff” 😂😂😂
This is A's Mom here. Ryan Gosling is such a talented actor! He is genuinely a singer, dancer, musician, dramatic, and/or comedic role maker! If he's in a movie, it will always be better for having him!
This might’ve been Barbie’s movie, but this was Ken’s moment
😬
4:27 best line ever
"I'm just ken, and I'm enough" stirred some feelings inside me (I haven't had emotions for a long time)
Hearing this song makes me want my own Mojo Dojo Casa House
I’m so glad he was chosen for this role. He was amazing. No one else could have such a kenergy 🩷
I have watched this five minute clip a thousand times and I still find it funny. I notice something new in the background on every rewatch and every actor is giving it 100%. Ken KO’ing someone with his abs will forever be hilarious
No-one is going to remember the Best Song Oscar winner from Barbie - but everyone is going to remember the best song from the movie.
I love the part where he says I'm just a 10 and Ryan Gosling shows Ken counting to 10 on his fingers leading up to him saying it. The little details are beautiful.
“I’ll see you on the Malibu beach” still one of the best parts .
2:45 I absolutely love the delivery on this part 😍 “I’m no dreamer~”
No one in the history of movies has ever committed to falling down like the guy who got hit with the frisbee.
My daughter sings this song 24/7 and knows every move and line
This is Oscar worthy for sure!! 🎉🎉🎉RYAN GOSLING AND THE DANCERS AND CREW. THIS STOLE THE SHOW WHEN I SAW THE MOVIE WITH MY SON AND DAUGHTER ❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Man, I can’t wait to see this masterpiece re-enacted at the Oscars! The live performance better be wild and full on Kenergy! They better not disappoint us with a mid show! I don’t care if the song wins (although it should), I just want to see this song performed in its entire glory, cause it just deserves it.
Seeing it an hour after Oppenheimer was my best cinema experience of 2023 ;)
This movie really made me laugh a LOT more than I expected it to, a lot of that was Ryan Gosling. What a gem.
All the Ken’s of the world must be loving this song. I have a grandfather named Ken (Kenneth)
This song is nothing short of epic. Slash on guitar ftw
This song needs to win every awards. It so iconic and will be talked about for next hundred years.
What's great about this song is that despite the fact that it saltarted out with the Kens fighting each other, in the end they all unite becaise at some point they realize that they were not really mad at each other but just trying to define themselves and find meaning. Kind of similar to how women in the real world are often pitted against each other, but have over time have realised that being supportive of each other is much better and that its not each other that we need to fight.
This song/video was nominated for a Grammy! So cool!
That’s it. Best scene in the entire movie.
Every minute of this movie is pure gold, this is a highlight. ❤️
Ryan Gosling got started with Young Hercules and the person who hired him has my eternal gratitude.
he got started with mickey mouse club my dude
@@milesdoyle7683 I didn't watch Mickey Mouse Club. But thank you for the clarification. 😊
The way the're standing on the beach, holding hands and panting. Usually songs just cut after, seeing the awkward aftermath is hilarious.
There’s Ryan’s fancy outfit, there’s his rock outfit, and his IM JUST KEN outfit😂
“I have feelings that I can’t explain, driving me insane.”
Same man. It’s tough out there sometimes 😢
This definitely deserved the best song award.
I love RDJ but c'mon man, no actor has made me believe they were indeed the character they play more than Ryan- Ken. He deserves that Oscar.
This is the BEST scene in the movie. Bravo, Ryan Gosling.
Ryan Gosling nailed this so hard I feel like he tapped into something that's always been inside himself that even he didn't realize was there.
He stole the Oscars. HE IS KENOUGH 💖
“I’m just ken and I’m enough and I’m great at doing stuff”. New affirmation unlocked.
Everything about this is so well done, but I am still astonished at how many different elements Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt brought into the composition.
