I have a 2000 Harley Springer with a Twin Tec TC88 EX twin cam tuner. It came with the bike, so I am not very familiar with it. Most people speak of having a "kick back" on starting their bikes. I get a kick back sometimes when I shut it down. The best way for me to describe it is by saying that it is a sound that sounds and feels as if the engine is getting another signal to fire one of the sparks on the last upward motion of the piston. Could this be caused by an improperly set tuner?
I just ordered mine. I have a 2001 FXDL. Would you still recommend putting the first setting on multi spark? I’ve seen some people leave it at 0 and some put it a 1. I have bassani and Arlan Ness big sucker, stock motor.

I’ve got a 1999 fxdx with a 106” big bore, 585 cams, adjustable push rods, etc and I just got the Daytona twin tec and did the recommended settings for a heavily modified motor and it’s just not running smooth. What settings would you recommend for it? Any help would be great. Thanks!
I too did my 1999 fxdx with 97" big bore with 583 cams. But i'm from Singapore, i set my to initial timing at 3 and advance at 5. Great at quick pick up but backfire when close throttle. Hopefully u get to call daytona and hope u update what they advice u to set it at.

I would assume so because I have not had that issue with mine and I know a ton of people that run them but I’ll start asking around

I do not. The only one I have run is the 88.

I would call Daytona my buddy has called them for a heavily modified engine before they will walk you through all the settings. That’s the best bet.
