Fr. Her, kamui woods and the like have actually been quite impressive being in that sort of intermediate range between top ranking pro hero and our students. They started as a prime example of the issues and pros of hero society and have rlly had to evolve to the times. In a way almost giving some credence to the villians struggle. Stains proclaimed that in this era of All mights peace heros got fat and lazy. And they sure did but now the only ones left in a time of chaos are the “REAL” heros
It actually only proves his point futher. The grand majority of heroes quit and only those who truly did it for selfless reasons remain. He removed all the fakes.
It could be that way. Stain was right, in that there are fake heroes. But his flaw was when he said that no one's heart can change, and that you will always be the same. This is why it's important that Iida stood up to him in the end. Mt Lady wasn't a true hero, but she became one, just like Iida.
Part of why AFO said Firce wings is trash is because Dabi heavily damaged Hawks quirk factor and was amazed he could use it at all from what i remember
yeah AFO cannot actually rejuvenate a damaged quirk if he steals it. when he took Fierce Wings, he immediately understood how fucked it was from Dabi's fire

Mt Lady and Mineta are both great characters for exposing how shallow the audienceds can be Ever since she's first introduced, Mt Lady has been a great hero that always put herself on the front line or uses her body as meat shield for others, you can go back and watch S1E1, and see her shielding the bystander during All Might vs Sludge Villain, yet the audienceds just can't look pass the fan service and insist she's a shallow character, even willfully ignoring her development like in S5E14 Mineta on the otherhand, he has been one of Midoriya's closest friend ever since USJ, you can always see him and Deku be together in class or off time, and he's also been pretty chill with other 1A, who basically just treats him like a perverted little brother, but because he isn't handsome like other pervert characters in other anime, audienceds treat him like a serial r*pist or something
To be fair, he has sexually assaulted multiple of his classmates. He is definitely his own person who has a deeper personality and has had character development, but he's still a creep which is so awful it overshadows the somewhat good parts.

They gave AFO WAY too much aura this episode lol, the scene of him rising out of the ground with the purple lightning and his divine presence on full blast while they got the lens flare and blaring was cool as fuck, then he makes sure to oneshot Dark Shadow too with a laserbeam from hell
So a very unsung development during this battle is Uraraka honing in on true Toga because of her emotions. Toga has been saying this ENTIRE show she loves the same way as everyone else but expresses differently than everyone. You kiss, she sucks blood. But we know that is not true. And now that she is using double, she can't replicate Twice's full power because she can't use affection on people she THOUGHT she had it for. Thus making Toga realize she may have MASSIVELY misunderstood affection. Uraraka gets that completely because Toga's obsession has actively confused Uraraka and she thinks she's crossing a line at weird points in the show as a result. From being embarrassed to wanting to team up with Deku rather than rival him in a team game, to wanting to defend Deku's active discomfort around Mei Hatsume and "Camie." And she backs off because she doesn't want to come off as obsessed even when it's clear Deku DID need her. She's gone through a big arc of what is affection. And Toga's obsession being challenged here is very familiar to Uraraka. And to hone in on Toga like that, actually she developed not her quirk but her personality. Uraraka is showing traits and strategies of an Empath. Which is in the same class as what she has shown up til now, HSP. Deku is ALSO an empath but has been one the entire show. But he couldn't pinpoint Toga because he couldn't empathize with her struggles and although he TRIED, he couldn't get to her. Empaths can empathize as far as their emotional experience takes them, which is always INCREDIBLY vast. But Deku simply has never doubted his affection or lack thereof for people. Uraraka displaying traits here is VITAL to being able to actually reach out to Toga. She needs more familial affection than romantic no doubt about it. And since her family abandoned their life and left her she TRULY has no concept of it outside what Twice offered. Also AFO hiding Machia might have something to do with he didn't know or think he could control him if he was injured by All-Might. Because I HIGHLY doubt AFO on life support could've handled Machia. But right now? AFO is so strong he doesn't even care to DEFEND HIMSELF. He has UNCOUNTABLE quirks and he uses no armor, no shields outside the one from the 2nd movie, and no impact nullifying even though we KNOW he has them. His answer to all these insane combinations and teamups is to just WIN. He one shots EVERYTHING. Machia, Mount Lady, Dark Shadow? Just DONE. I was worried he would go for my boy Inasa because while AFO was attacked by DOZENS of Shiketsu quirks if not over a hundred (Class 1,2,3 A and B being 120 students) He said he was ONLY bothered by Inasa's wind tunnel and he should go get it. That shows how powerful Inasa is. So Mineta saved both Tokoyami AND Inasa because AFO didn't want his haircut. (Also AFO just to point out, you had Naval Laser once upon a time so don't judge.)
They watched the first movie and are MHA fans. It will always annoy me that they just completely gave up on watching the other MHA movies. They are in a certain way still actually canon.

Say want you want about his writing but one thing is clear - Horikoshi is a master of the callbacks to previous seasons.
I really like this episode aside from side characters getting their moments. This episode also solidified that all the movies are canon.
The UA folks didn’t evacuate as intended, which is why Hawks said there was hope, so someone has gone to help and possibly get in AFO’s way… 😊
We reached peak with Mineta scene, nothing else tops that one. No joke, they try repeat that scene later and it had no sauce.

*Between Ashido’s quirk surpassing its limits, her teamwork with Kirishima, and All for One’s comeback, there was a lot of action this time around.*
