- We finally went camping in the Model X. We turned on Camp mode and surprisingly, with the heater on 76 degrees, didn't lose that much power throughout the entire night. The game changer had to be the Napier SPORTS SUV TENT. It's amazing.

What are the best ways to find tesla friendly camp sites. For example a lot of campsites make you park your car far way. This one let you get your car right up to camp site allowing you to pitch that tesla tent.
I had to look up photos! Would have been nice to have a nema 1450 plug as well. I think you should look at RV type ones. Alot of the ones here wasn't like the one I got. I had to look at all the sites lol

Another great video, Chris! So, which campsite did you stay at in Convict Lake? I was looking at possibly staying at the Twin Lakes campground there at Convict?

You certainly brought a lot for one night camping, great to see the carrying-capacity of the X ! I still prefer a stand-alone tent, as the attached may scratch your car, doesn't seal completely, and is not as practical for extended stays where you may want to drive a short distance to check out other trails etc.

Hey everyday couple! This might be my favorite video, looks fun. Can you share your charge planning from Irvine in order to arrive at the camp site with 96% charge. And also, when you hit the button on the screen to lock all doors at 19:06, the lift gate can stayed open? It would be quite a mishap were it to close after one just finished setting the tent up. And awesome camping gear but all that stuff ain’t cheap!

Yay the one thing I love next as much, actually more then Tesla is camping. That Tent is awesome but it should be more dome shape for winds and weather. Thanks for the video. I have camped in the my Model S several times. and I have an SUV tent that is more like a mosquito net. In any case, with all the rain, did the rain run off the car and into the tent or trunk area? When it rained for me, I put up a big canopy over the car, but I did not trust the SUV tent rain fly.
it did not! ONly at the bottom outside there was some but when I removed the attachment it just fell to the ground keeping the car and tent completely dry

oh for the ramen, I want to try an electric water kettle plugged into the power station. It will use a lot of power but I got one uses 500watts it holds 2 cups, 16.9oz+ (600ml). I planned it for coffee but it will do ramen.
I was camping in my old camper van one time and my dog got sprayed by a skunk! I couldn`t kick her off the bed, so it was a long night!!

Have you used the ICOCO 20 in the sub trunk of the X? Have you left it running in the car in the sub trunk? I'm planning on using it for keeping water cold during Volleyball tournaments. I have cabin overheat protection enabled ... but I'm worried about it overheating and catching fire.
Doesn’t get hot at all just warm use it in the y full of luggage

Model X? It comes with the screen swivel! With the 3 and Y you can add it in and it's very easy to reverse. doesn't affect warranty unless you have issues with the screen or something near it

Y tent. Video is a pop up tent so insanely fast. This one has more poles so a little longer

Yeah I think so if you put the guy lines down. It has a rain fly and everything too so should be fine
Jet Boil is a great tool. Not a huge fan of paid campsites where dogs must be on leashes but hey, it's CA camping. Try some primitive camping on BLM land sometime, where your dogs can roam and you won't have any neighbors. Looks like there were quite a few mule deer. Love the fact that you stayed through the rain and didn't pack up and go.
