Thanks for keeping up-to-date on your collecting and visits to different O gauge shows and layouts, Sid. It keeps me up-to-date on what's going on in the hobby. I always liked the look of the Mercury loco, even though I never saw it for real. But besides the MTH model, NYC had a great poster for it heading out of Cleveland Union Terminal with Terminal Tower in the background. Having lived in Cleveland in younger days, the Terminal Tower was a very familiar landmark for me. I was born too late to see the Mercury for real, but it was a very interesting looking piece of shrouded engineering. Glad you had a good time at York, seeing friends and finding great deals on adding to the collection
Congratulations on those great finds Sid! And I know exactly where you're coming from when you called the Mercury "So ugly it's pretty!" I say the same about my Union Pacific streamlined "Forty-Niner" steam engine who some call "The Slug." It's so ugly it's beautiful! The Mercury's certainly familiar to NYC fans but I'm guessing it's a bit obscure to many railfans and hobbyists as it didn't come east like the 20th Century Limited did but ran exclusively in the Midwest. The streamlining was also called the "Upside-down bathtub!" Hey, NYC's streamlining had to start somewhere, right? Fine video, and thanks for posting!
The new logo looks great. Do you happen to have Vinces contact information? There are people who want to buy trains in the video I made of his booth in York. People have commented that his website isn't working.
Sounds like you had a great time, and got lots of great stuff too!! Espically that Mercury set, super sharp looking! Was nice seeing you at York - Ryan
I recently got a Blue Commodore Vanderbilt from Mike at Motorcraze40 very new and never run by him and was in the factory seal before he got it think he ran it twice and I’ve been running it a lot love the old sounds they’re great good to see you with another commodore
Happy New Year Sid. Thanks for all of the great videos you do, especially the repair vids. You are so passionate about this hobby, and it sets a great example for us all.
Hi sid, I like that mercury train set. Good video. I agree that york was even better this October. Met lots of new and old friends. That youtuber event was great. I think more than 100 were there.
Hello Sid! Great video! I have a question I hope you are able to help me with. I purchased a new Lionel Mikado. I greased and lubed the axels. It still wobbles while running around the track. What else needs to be done to stop it from wobbling? Thanks!
3rd Rail (Also known as Sunset Models and Golden Gate Depot) is an importer of high-quality limited-run O Scale models. They're easily found with an on-line search. They've been around for a while. What apps they use will be mentioned on the website.
The Evolution charge lights are sick! Great video!
Thanks Sam!
Great Video Sid. Really nice additions to your collection. Look forward to seeing you at the next show.
Thanks Zac! Likewise I am looking forward to the next show.

Thanks for sharing your purchases at the York show. I enjoy all the passenger cars especially the K-Lne.
Doing train shows with family and friends is the way to go!
The hobo union approves of this video, and will be setting up a hobo camp at a layout near you. Maybe sid will get lucky...❤❤😊😊
Very informationative,!!!

I really wanted to get my hands on that Visionline GE Hybrid locomotive.
2010 GE I actually have its MTH counterpart, the Railking one and let me tell u, its the most unique and coolest trains I ever own to this day.
I wish Lionel would release that GE hybrid model again I bet they would sell a bunch of them I'd buy 1 don't have 1 myself
Lionel did make an ES44 painted like the hybrid a few years back. I do believe it was a custom run though.
@SidsTrains yes but wish they would release it again

I have a question. Where did your dad find your Lionel Phantom?

@@SidsTrains got it
I’d like to reach you regarding the Stepney 3 rail conversion you did for RJ.
What models are your Milwaukee Road diesels?
What's 3rd Rail? Is that a new company? Will Lionel app run their engines or Mth?
