I like the ESE hudson great look. And the nice sounding whistle.I have the tmcc Virginian /C&O berkshire. And 2 C&O railking berkshire. I had 41 boxcars behind it.But it pulled with very little strain. If you go to 889ts you will see railking steamers pulling long freight trains. If you want to check it out.
Glad you had such great time at York, Sid. Never been, although in the past I wanted to. I don't travel anymore, but I enjoy your channel to keep updated. You've set out to do a lot of restoration work on those locos you snagged. I look forward to the finished results of your efforts. The C&O 2-8-8-2 from Lionel is awesome. Glad you did some of your magic to make it even better. Your spontaneous gifts to young modellers makes the hobby special and keeps it spreading. Fantastic! Thanks for the train run and your commentary on the show.
My dad and I made the pilgrimage from Texas once in October of 21'. We made it into week long trip hitting Strasburg, the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum, Steamtown, Knoebel's Grove Amusement Park, the New Oxford Depot Railroad Museum, the OGR breakfast and dinner, the Red Lion Depot layout open house, watching trains at the Rockville Bridge, and the bandit meets, Maybe again next year we'll go again.
Darn you Sid. 😊 Just when I thought my C&O engine collection was good with the addition of a 2-6-6-2, you show me a 2-8-8-2 that I now need to get! Glad you had a good trip to York. I’m planning on attending in the Fall. Keep up the good work on your channel, looking forward to seeing those restored engines.
Wow Sid, you've got more guts than I do! I wouldn't have picked up those nasties unless I was wearing rubber gloves! YUCK! Anyway, I'm sure that now they're in your capable hands they'll positive GLOW at some point in the future. Best of luck in working your magic! An interesting video, thanks for posting!
Great Video Sid. You picked some great locomotives. I am looking forward to see how those projects work out. I know you will be able to make that GG-1 run like the awesome locomotive it is! Missed going to York this go around. Hope I will be able to get there in the fall!
When you check out that Smoke Fluid Loader, be sure to examine the hoses inside the house where they interconnect the pump and reservoir and the lead to the nozzle (they run right up against one of the inside walls where they hook up to the pump ports). There was apparently an unauthorized design change at the factory that caused an issue where a lot (maybe all if not modified) of these leaked fluid when first set up. I think (you will have to search) there was a thread on the OGR Forum that described the issue and the recommended fix.
That duplex locomotive looked like it was pick up the bottom of the seabed that was surrounded by coral. The Lionel great railway adventures were also my favorite too growing up in the late 90’s. Nothing screams nostalgia then the great railway adventures from Lionel. Good finds at the show Sid!🚂
Great to talk to you at York. Mad props to anyone who can restore and improve old junk like that, can't wait to see what magic you work on those projects.
Vinces trains was my favorite booth! That’s the first place I pulled my wallet out at! Great video can’t wait to see how your project engines turn out!!!

Sid .my name is Pamela. I live here in Michigan and follow you, norm, and Rpg . Here's my problem . I sent my 4449 GS4 to henning trains for repair I even told them to upgrade it if they couldn't find the parts. That was 9months ago. Now I just want it back and would like to know if I did get it back if you would take on the challenge inputting electric rr system in it? A lover of trains and your site Pamela

They sure are crusty!!! I'm excited to get them all cleaned up.

Nice job as usual Sid !
I like the mods you do to the trains, nice work. Keep us updated on future restorations.
Love the A2 birk, one of my favorite mth engines
Amazing video Sid!!!

Agree with you. Vince Seebach is a great guy. His wife Peggy is as well. I ended up buying a few MTH engines from him.
Here's an idea just repair the moving parts on the coupler and keep it rusty it adds character to the model.
Hey Sid! I was wondering if you knew where I could pick up new traction tires for an unshrouded J class?
MTH sells them on their parts website. MTH Parts and Sales.
@@SidsTrains thank you very much!
You're welcome!!!
I just subscribed to your channel and this is my first time to your channel and I really like K Line trains and how much detail they have.
A Weekend with Nothing But Trains I am Down with it.
Put the Duplex into some brake fluid, and after all that nasty green paint falls off, paint it in the proper Pennsy colors!

So, is the York train show an all O gauge/scale train show!?

Hey Sid is there a way I can contact you for a quote for a custom project I'm thinking about getting done? Thank you
Wow,, that poor T1 duplex, how sad and why would someone do that to a brass steam locomotive.
Bro that t1 looks foul 💀
