When I was on the garbage truck we would always cut the chairs and couches sideways so any valuables would just slide down into the bottom of the hopper. Coins, jewelry, tools. A big overstuffed chair was good for at least one sixpack. (beer was cheap in 1976)
Man I wish we still had prices of stuff in 1976. I hear stories for my parents. Seems like a great time to be alive. Don’t get me wrong today still has its benefits as well tho.
