The difference of toms videos being slower paced and more a journey through the country side and yours being a face paced adventure is a perfect dichotomy of content that i need
@NowonosMusic that's the 1st thing I noticed 😂 geowizards more calm, relaxed.. old man style 😂 these guys full of energy and excitement. I'd definitely get the 🍿 for more of these combo runs
14:47 - "That's the world's slipperiest rock. It won an award last year. World's slipperiest rock. They did actually put a sticker on it, but it peeled off pretty quickly." Being a stand-up comedian, while running a straight-line race ... impressive, and funny :-)
Another cool Idea could be doing the exact same line but starting from opposite ends Possibly meeting in the middle somewhere. Would be interesting to see the choices that both parties make at the more challenging obstacles.
@Cubeforc3 sea level to sea level should mean the same elevation deviation. However, it could be argued that climbing up the cliff from the west is harder than climbing up the rocks from the east.
Not only did you come out ahead in terms of time, but also in the straightness of the line, and had the shortest maximum deviation. An absolute win. Well done, lads! Stay safe, though. That head bump could've been so, so bad.
Nicely done -- seems you were right -- teams looked about evenly matched, you guys did well for sure, but Tom's unforced errors untimately handed you the win. As with all racing it often turns out to be who made fewer mistakes! Again, nicely done!
I love Geowizard and I am glad I got introduced to your channel through his. You all are great and these adventures are one of the highlights of my TH-cam watching. Everyone needs more outdoor adventures, comraderie, and challenges to motivate them!
This is such a great idea. The head-to-head competition adds an extra layer of fun and strategy to straight line missions. Another idea might be to keep GPS trackers in your pockets, and limit yourself to only a compass and landmarks. Then, the adherence to a straight line will also depend on your planning and orienteering skills. There's a lot of Boy Scouts out there who might like to see orienteering applied in a race like this. Getting platinum with just a compass would be quite a feat.
Legendary fellas, both view points were fun to watch. Thee old guy was mad aye, He should of been congratulations seeing young people out been productive. Ggs
Came here from GeoWizard's video. Just wanted to say congratulations on the win, fellas. What a fun race it was to watch, and I hope there will be more straight-line races in the future. What a challenging, exciting prospect!
Good effort boys. Tom will always be the founding OG, but you’re worthy successors to carry the torch and inspire more competition. Tom’s route looked rougher but he didn’t plan as well, the swim was a bad decision for timing and condition. Great work from you two, deserved the win.
"Watcha doin in my fookin backyard" "Your garden just happens to be a crucial section of an organised race" Bro seemed kinda chill. I'd lose my sh*t being the same age as him. Would take out the kitchen knife I'd just washed, not even asking my wife 😂
A challenge which Ive done that you lads might like is following a river from mouth to source or vice versa and being very strict on how far you can stray from it (this will involve wading in the river in parts) good luck guys
turned out not to be a concussion , otherwise he wouldn't have recovered after 10 minutes but it is very dangerous to go on if you are not sure, there are many examples of pro athletes with serious long term injuries
You guys smoked Geowizard. 🤣 Good job. That swimming strategy really cost Geowizard. You guys had the better game plan to deal with the water crossings.
Fair play lads, well done for doing it for the south! I jest, i jest, but seriously that was epic. Crossing a reservoir on an inflatable duck, absolute madlads. Great sense of humour too, got proper laughs out of me. Keep doing what you're doing 👍
As exciting as this was, I think I prefer the standard straight line missions. It's the sort of activity where things can go wrong, such as Archie hitting his head on the post or getting scratched on the barbed wire, or even Tom's leg cramps, and in those situations you need to be able to slow down and give them due attention. All the same, well done lads!
I think Geowizard had the more difficult route, the forests, the gorse, the swimming. Add to that some simple mistakes I'm not surprised about the outcome. But even then, it's surprising how well he did anyway.
North Korea? Or maybe Anglesey would be good. I'd like to see you find a way to avoid the gardens of individuals though (a rules bylaw?), it's not good tv to watch you or Tom giving elderly people a fright. You could run past the window of someone who's had a house invasion, or been raped or something, adding to mental health problems or PTSD, it's just not a good look, but I FUCKING LOVE the adventure of it, what to do eh? Well done though lads, brilliant effort and I bet you have a few scars from that one!
Where should the rematch take place?
Anglesey
Iceland or Sicily
The Dragons Back race. I am the bloke from Fan Fawr who got in touch before.
Northern Ireland or if you want to be dangerous South London 😂
Skye 🤷🏻♂️
Props to GeoWizard for founding the genre and coining the terms, “deviation,” “bang on the line,” etc. What a legend.
"bang on the line" should be an everyday use quote
*see a line of coke*
BANG ON THE LINE!
*slams occipital lobe into a fence post*
“Mate I’m feeling proper light headed.”
“Yep…… There’s Geowizard!”
😂😂😂
Yeah, Adam should have taken this more seriously. That fall was REALLY dangerous.
I mean I guess it’s family/brotherly type thing where he just assumed he was fine but still wild 😂
The invincibility of youth!
The difference of toms videos being slower paced and more a journey through the country side and yours being a face paced adventure is a perfect dichotomy of content that i need
They should do a city type run like toms Birmingham run. Their young energy vs Tom's chill somewhere like that'd be great too
Not just that but the music choices, even the video aspect ratio… such a nice complement to each other
here after watching Geowizard's video.
The editing style and music choice is so jarring going from one to the other😅 Both brilliant videos nonetheless!
Sameee

@NowonosMusic that's the 1st thing I noticed 😂 geowizards more calm, relaxed.. old man style 😂 these guys full of energy and excitement. I'd definitely get the 🍿 for more of these combo runs
Snap
"Ooh, Verity, have you got the right size dry bag?" 😂
"yet another battery excuse from geowizard" had me laughing lots! Love your guys humour and well done on winning! Great race from all :)
"Are we recording?!" got me! haha
Pure British pisstaking at its best 😂
14:47 - "That's the world's slipperiest rock. It won an award last year. World's slipperiest rock. They did actually put a sticker on it, but it peeled off pretty quickly."
Being a stand-up comedian, while running a straight-line race ... impressive, and funny :-)
Imagine just looking out of your window, seeing a guy with a tattered button down shirt, sport leggings and a bum bag running through your garden 😂
This guy is running a near half marathon in a button down shirt
Disgraceful that he isn't wearing a tie.
@@stephenmercerProductionssafety tie woulda been awesome
Even still had most of the shirt on him at the end 😂
You def need long sleeves
Better than Geo's short sleeve shirt 😂
Here after watching Geo's video and reading your comment there. Subscribed. Nice to meet you lads. Keep it up and always hafe fun.
Btw, how's the head?
Luckily the pain subsided after 10 minutes and there was no concussion
Another cool Idea could be doing the exact same line but starting from opposite ends Possibly meeting in the middle somewhere. Would be interesting to see the choices that both parties make at the more challenging obstacles.
Can you imagine the old man seeing two guys run from the street into the hills and then 5 hours later one man running out of the hills to the street 😅
I guess the problem is that one direction is probably a lot steeper than the other, so that makes it harder to make it fair.
@Cubeforc3 sea level to sea level should mean the same elevation deviation. However, it could be argued that climbing up the cliff from the west is harder than climbing up the rocks from the east.
@@Cubeforc3as they are both running from sea level to sea level, i can't really see this problem.
@@tachms One side could be a gradual incline while the either could be more steep. They'd have to be very careful to pick a fair line.
Love the ripped to hell shirt at the end hahahaha.
Not only did you come out ahead in terms of time, but also in the straightness of the line, and had the shortest maximum deviation. An absolute win. Well done, lads!
Stay safe, though. That head bump could've been so, so bad.
Was fun swithing between yours and GeoWizards channel perspectives every so often, great race, congrats!
12:32 lol, you guys called it. absolute champion faffer
Great video and hilarious to see you upsetting my next door neighbour. I won’t share the link with him in case he reports you to the police, lol.
The perfect collab
The 'world's slipperiest rock' joke was a 10/10. Awesome work, you guys!
"What's the matter Danny? Never taken a shortcut before?" Is the perfect reference for these missions 😂
Said in the thickest Somerset accent possible. 😂😂
appreciate that you took the time to not only stand on the rotten sheep but also to film it and include the footage in your video, very epic!
Well edited and narrated video, it was just as entertaining as Tom's version! Well done and good job on the win!
Nicely done -- seems you were right -- teams looked about evenly matched, you guys did well for sure, but Tom's unforced errors untimately handed you the win. As with all racing it often turns out to be who made fewer mistakes! Again, nicely done!

Major props for doing this in a plaid dress shirt of all things. I feel George Mallory would be proud.
This is such a great idea. The head-to-head competition adds an extra layer of fun and strategy to straight line missions. Inflatable duck is the new meta.

5:10 Very lucky to not get hurt worse or get a concussion
Good effort boys. Tom will always be the founding OG, but you’re worthy successors to carry the torch and inspire more competition. Tom’s route looked rougher but he didn’t plan as well, the swim was a bad decision for timing and condition. Great work from you two, deserved the win.
Isle of Man is beautiful. Those hedges are protected by Manx law lol
Seems like the Fieldhouse's path was much much easier than GeoWizard's path.
A super cut with both points of view would be amazing.
New subscriber from Geowizard, I love these straight line missions, will catch up on your old videos
Just watched both back to back :-)
Well done lads!
"Watcha doin in my fookin backyard"
"Your garden just happens to be a crucial section of an organised race"
Bro seemed kinda chill. I'd lose my sh*t being the same age as him. Would take out the kitchen knife I'd just washed, not even asking my wife 😂
Well it looks like my next hour and 10 minutes is set 🔥🔥
I'm surprised Archie survived in one piece!
I've been watching GW for years now and it shows you guys are real fans too, love the banter. :)
Great banter 😂 Loved this. Great to see both videos. Keep it up 👏
13:57 Dead sheep ? Thats disgusting :D
That's genuinely the most disgusting thing I have seen in a while.
I mean why it is so green. Yuck.
I did not notice while watching
You see dead sheep all the time in the uk if you’re hiking lol
love hearing tom being referred to as the wizard
Well done, lads. Geowizard Tom is a sound lad like yourself. Much respect to all three of you.
Can't wait what you guys will be up to next 😁👍
More collaborations, please chaps!!! Excellent stuff!!
I came here after watching Geowizard's video. well done, guys! well-deserved victory😆 Greetings from Italy
Congrats on your win brothers!
The duck was a brilliant idea. Probably where you won the race.
congrats y'all! excited to see more of your adventures
well played, whippersnappers
Trolling geowizard with cake and soda is unbelievable
Loved the video guys and what a race, congrats on the win!
He bodyslammed his head on the fencepost ANDfell into barbed wire, insane
Great work guys. Proud to have been subbed from your early days 👍
good fun guys! well done on the win. hope that head injury was okay in the end!
Very well done lads! Good line selection, solid performance, top pisstaking. Subscribed 👍
A challenge which Ive done that you lads might like is following a river from mouth to source or vice versa and being very strict on how far you can stray from it (this will involve wading in the river in parts) good luck guys
Stay tuned, tomorrow at 4pm (ish)
Yo that’s crazy 😂
how on God's green Earth do you still only have 15k subs? Your videos deserve way more than that
Damn you guys were lucky with that owner not stopping you two. Well done guys that was great!
Well done, lads. It looked tough.
Well done boys! Here from Tom's channel, will likely be binging your stuff next week.
Geowizard whilst getting a bollocking "How long ago did they come through by the way?"
Solid effort lads
You guys definitely had the better line. No contest.
Congrats! 😄
What a trooper, i woulda stayed in the bush after that concussion.
turned out not to be a concussion , otherwise he wouldn't have recovered after 10 minutes

Oh I wanted to see this! 🥳
A fantastic showing lads! I hope you'll let Tom have a crack at taking the 'title' from you in another race soon! 👍🤞
Crazy how much easier your route was.
Great quality video! Really cool to do the comparison between yours and Tom's race 😊
did Archie get a concussion off that post?
Luckily not, it hurt for 10 minutes but I recovered quickly
nice work lads
Nice one lads, top work, subbed 👍
13:58 Oh that's where my sheep went
Stepping in dead animals seems to be a theme on this channel
Strict minimum of once per mission
Absolutely love the crossover episode!!1 This is so greaaaaaaat
I saw the two perspectives, so much fun! Would be great if we see more stuff like this in the future :D
Well done lads 👍 I hope that scratch from the barbed wire fence wasn't too serious?

Little did Geowizard knew you were in cahoots with grandpa from the start 😉🤣🥰
Great video! Killing it again
Another awesome vid. Love these, keep'em coming! :D
"we very efficiently mounted it, and got cracking". I was hoping you guys would use "quacking" instead.
Flawless victory chaps can't wait for round two!
'We just float along on a duck'
Lines you never thought youd hear 😂
i know the bloke at 23:10 i did his gardens and hedge cutting about a year ago, he's not the best of people to work for but he had money
top effort! keep the straight lines missions coming
Great race and great edit, boys! Well done!
I think Geowizard had the more difficult route, the forests, the gorse, the swimming. Add to that some simple mistakes I'm not surprised about the outcome. But even then, it's surprising how well he did anyway.
the swimming is not the route, but his own choice... but the gorse certainly was

Here from GeoWizard to see your POV haha, you guys are great and Ive subscribed :)
well done boys!
It's not the same without the chill music in geowizards videos
Get in!
this is a nice crossover, thanks lads
