Me too. Another brilliant videos this week & every other week too, thank you for sharing your trip as well. Meanwhile it's going to be a cool 32C today here in Townsville Australia.
With Christian everything has a double meaning. “Now I can get my hand up there, like on a cattle farm”! In Australia we know what you’re talking about. You’re terrible Christian! 😂😂
What happened to those stickers? I had one in my 1990 200TDI Defender. Along with a trusty "Nothing Moves Without Mechanical Engineers" IMechE sticker.
@@philhealey4443they stopped using that sticker when someone pointed out it was incorrect ..😂😂..They forgot about the Landcruiser Amazon 80 series , truly the best 4x4 production vehicle ever built ..one of ours has 400,000 miles on it ..👍👍
@richardcole9558 Strangely enough I'm looking at testing the water with an ancient Landcruiser to complement 40 years of Land Rover ownership and 25 years of daily driver poverty spec G Wagens. They're all nearly as much fun as a Unimog, which I think really is the best 4x4xfar. You'll presumably tell me now that something inevitably with a Z in its name, out of Russia, is better !
@@philhealey4443 Actually the Unimog is the ultimate 4x4xfar but overall and because most people will never get to enjoy a Unimog the Landy Defender has to be the the Best4x4xfar. Yeah, I reckon you'd have to watch out for those Ruskys in their wheeled tanks.... Probably formidable performers, but would doubt their reliability.
@hughbatchelor8599 We are aligned then. Pinzgauers certainly have a lot going for them, but often seem to capsize, whereas Mogs can just be aimed almost anywhere and arrive with ridiculous ease. And I'd swear they have a tighter turning circle than my first LWB LR Series One.
We all love to watch your videos on LR Time long or short. Vera and Christian have such a great sense of humour always makes me chuckle...Thank you so much for your time and efforts...
Although I'm mechanically trained, and happy to do random DIY projects around the home, I detest working on cars. Very happy though, to watch Vera and hubby pursue their weekend hobby..
I’m in the Dominican Republic at the moment…and saw someone watching this video on his iPad in the Colonial zone. Of course I was gonna say hi and introduce myself. He is from Zimbabwe. I’ve made a new friend :)
Good evening Vera & Christian 😊 yet again the best way to spend a Sunday watching as Christian fixing Vera’s LR3 with great humour 🤣 This is far better than watching tv 👍🏻 Great road trip especially seeing some snow ❄️ Have a great week until next Sunday xx
You guys are really secret Marketing people for Toyota. 😅. Great Video, very entertaining as always. P.S I worked in heavy equipment workshop for 5 years when I was young, I learnt , stay away from old machinery, .
Thanks for cheering me up on a Sunday,I was feeling depressed after travelling a total of15000 km this year my handbrake mechanisgm on my Toyota hz78 was seized i found this inconvenient to fix.
Another interesting morning with Christian and Vera, I always have a smile when watching you two. I love the travel videos too, what beautiful scenery. Keep up the good work!
Googled Otzi, absolutely fascinating. What is also fascinating is the ability to get in your car and drive to another country! The wonders of living in Europe. Oh and the D3 repair was also interesting. Bad luck about the hose clamp.
I really enjoy your weekly episodes. Each one makes me more grateful that I drive a 30 year old 300tdi discovery 1. Toyota levels of reliability, with mechanical simplicity that makes it repairable at the roadside with a hammer. So less stressful than a 3 or4 and every bit as capable off road.
Brilliant video, don't ever apologise for video length. It's always enjoyable watching your content. Vera should start a secondary travel & activities channel
I hate jobs like that. I will say 2 years back I bought an endoscope. It has come in handy on so many occasions. Oh and you didn't break a part off - you modified it to aid Re assembly lol. Hats off to you on patience my friend.
Fascinating, another video in the ‘How to fix a major coolant leak at high altitude’ series. Learned the importance of keeping oil off your mating surfaces at all times. Very well.
I used to own Land Rovers. I had a 2004 Discovery 2, then a 1999 Discovery 1, then a 2001 Discovery 2. All with the V8 and the 4 speed ZF. Loved them, but then I moved onto Toyotas, and now Jeeps. Watching your videos reminds me of when I was a young teen fixing my Land Rover every day after school. Maybe I have to start thinking about getting another one…
The Oetztahl and the Timmelsjoch pass into Italy are special to our family for many decades. We used to hike above the valley around Soelden each summer for many years. Great to see them again, even if they were not kind to your labour of love!
Back in the day when I studied archaeological science, one of my lecturers was part of the research team working on Otzi and his possessions. Got to handle some of the finds, too! Fascinating subject!
I did a vaccum pump 2 times before it sealed good, not uncommon for the valve cover to start leaking afterwards. Also you need 2 big blobs of sealant on both sides of the vaccum pump. ❤
We travel a lot actually, but we have a repair channel. Travel videos do not do good on our channel unfortunately and each and every video takes at least 15 hours of editing, every single week. Only the editing. So we stick to what works for our channel. 👍🙋♀️
You can reuse cable ties. Just squeeze the head on each side of the head and pull the end back. Or use a sharp tool to lift the locking tongue and push the end back. There is a YT video about squeezing the cable tie head.
I like the way Vera lovers her 20 year old car. Good work Christian but now the stealerships can do that pump without removing the body but charge the customer the same price. Cheers, Stuart 🇦🇺
Great episode as always. Last week I replaced crankshaft position sensor on Discovery 3 2.7 without removing turbocharger. According to service manual and desktop mechanics it should be impossible. Impossible repairs gives a lot of satisfaction.
Sadly I was out looking after support from my friends 120 year old Berliet on the VCC run to Brighton instead of staying in bed till I had watched this weeks episode, of course the Berliet finished without incident, it’s like a Toyota lol Great content as always , glad your coolant leak didn’t wreck your engine
Love you guys from the Uk I would love to buy a land rover but never have due to expensive repairs and car insurance is expensive in UK because they get stolen a lot
Always lovely having to a job by feel rather than being able to see!! Well done Christian, it can be very tiring working like that. I have saved your endoscope into my Amazon account, I only have a cheap one and need to upgrade to an adjustable one. If it is good enough for a German engineer it will be OK for me. Otzi was covered in tattoos, most of which are not known but he had tattoo dots around his body, they turn out to be acupuncture points and when they checked, they matched the points you would use for the damage to his body. I find that remarkable.
Hi christian and vera.great content this week(as usual) my 5 year old came down to watch lr time today.he use to call them jeeps! Now he calls them landrovers! He loves lr time😊😊😊
No need to apologise for a long video, i could quite happily watch you guys for double the time.❤
Me too!
Your land rover maintenance channel is exactly why I bought a new toyota land cruiser! Love your content thank you for sharing

They convinced me to buy a 4Runner! LOL

That’s the famous “double entendre.” 😊
Us German South Africans as well😂
That was a real Landrover. The Defender. The best 4x4xfar. We have a 97 300tdi still going strong after 350000kms in Africa.

Love it that you still use real maps! Driving guidance on the phone is great, but I still feel a bit unearthed without a proper map.
It was nice to have a longer video, maybe do one long one every month, thanks and god bless.
We try👍👌🙋♀️
@@Vera_and_Christian YOUR THE BEST Thank You !

Not a Sunday morning without a great video of a roadside debacle getting fixed 👏👏
Hey Vera! The way to remember the ratchet setting is 'righty tighty, leftie loosey'hope that helps 😊
A Time Ago... In Tech School Thanks
The IceMan? The one found with a bow and arrows? Love it when you go walk about.
You guys are really secret Marketing people for Toyota. 😅.
Great Video, very entertaining as always.
P.S
I worked in heavy equipment workshop for 5 years when I was young,
I learnt , stay away from old machinery, .
Land Rovers don't actually break down, they are just providing opportunities for the owner to practice their mechanical skills.
Thanks for cheering me up on a Sunday,I was feeling depressed after travelling a total of15000 km this year my handbrake mechanisgm on my Toyota hz78 was seized i found this inconvenient to fix.
Tea and pain au chocolate today feeling quite European today as I de-stress with Christian and Vera stopwatch on for first “debacle “ 😊
Every journey is a new video 😂..never get rid of the Landrover because us Landcruiser owners would miss you 👍👍
The longer the better! Another great video and what a trip to the Alps. The scenery is off the charts amazing!
Another interesting morning with Christian and Vera, I always have a smile when watching you two. I love the travel videos too, what beautiful scenery. Keep up the good work!
Love your complete change of body posture post hose clamp debacle, Christian! Nothing like driving a Land Rover to keep you on the edge of your seat!!
Another excellent video guys, I think you might have missed your true calling as a “Gynecologist”😂.
Googled Otzi, absolutely fascinating. What is also fascinating is the ability to get in your car and drive to another country! The wonders of living in Europe. Oh and the D3 repair was also interesting. Bad luck about the hose clamp.

Another reason why I drive a 22 year old Jeep it may not be as fast or comfortable but it shore is a lot simpler to repair.
Brilliant video, don't ever apologise for video length. It's always enjoyable watching your content. Vera should start a secondary travel & activities channel
Vera being a daredevil in the Alps, taking a selfie!!😝
I hate jobs like that. I will say 2 years back I bought an endoscope. It has come in handy on so many occasions. Oh and you didn't break a part off - you modified it to aid Re assembly lol. Hats off to you on patience my friend.
Great Video. Your patience, good humour and knowledge between you is your art. Truly impressive. 🎉
You make my Sunday mornings! Good to see Christian is human and makes mistakes too please keep up the great content
Fascinating, another video in the ‘How to fix a major coolant leak at high altitude’ series. Learned the importance of keeping oil off your mating surfaces at all times. Very well.
dang I slept to late , I love catching The Adventures of Vera and Christian the second it comes on
Fixed that plastic piece like a true electrician... 👍
I keep a towing bar in my Tooyooda for helping land rover people, another great video
Cheers.
Never had to be towed 😅🤗🙋♀️
My TD4 2006 Freelander has tie wraps on most things, 210,000 miles and still going strong.
I used to own Land Rovers. I had a 2004 Discovery 2, then a 1999 Discovery 1, then a 2001 Discovery 2. All with the V8 and the 4 speed ZF. Loved them, but then I moved onto Toyotas, and now Jeeps.

Where you checking if Øtzi was a subscriber???? Nice one, I am still amazed for your patience, thanks for the content!!
Schönen sonnigen Sonntag aus dem bayerischen Wald. Im Ötzi Museum war ich auch schon, war sehr interessant. 🙋♂️
Who else could have thought of an easier method to replace the vacuum pump without removing the body, only Christian can 👍👍
The Land Rover oil leaks must be a design feature to protect everything against corrosion😊

love the humor from a toyota owner, great content
Once again, great content and stunning scenery on your trip.
You could build Ikea furniture, and it would still be entertaining. Love from England 😊

❤
Freelander!!! My one needs a clutch soon……..I’m on my way!!! 😜😜😜😜
That’s what ours will be about. Quite a job. Done. Christian
Oh man what a job !! I always enjoy the travel stories ... no mountain stream this time to refill the bottle 😁
Love that reference to a cattle farm.
The snow was fantastic guys ,really enjoyed the video
Great stuff, you find a way where Land Rover could not! Brilliant work.
another great video you easily make these infomercials very watchable keep them coming
My 5 year Tiguan is still going with no faults.😊. I love Landrovers but now I’m retired I couldn’t afford to repair one.
Hi Vera, really enjoyed seeing you doing some traveling, instead of just your driveway all the time. Rob from Arizona

Hi christian and vera.great content this week(as usual) my 5 year old came down to watch lr time today.he use to call them jeeps! Now he calls them landrovers! He loves lr time😊😊😊
That is great 👍.
@7:15 the part you broke was called the "Hassel" so you essentially took the a "Hasselhoff"
Lol
Молодцы ! Благодаря вашему видео я осуществил такой же ремонт без проблем. Теперь мой вакуумный насос тоже сухой.

Great vid with a sense of humour it make the job a lot better with a little laughter 😂👍🇬🇧

Every time I want a LR I look at your videos. Then sanity returns. For cable ties you have ones rated for solar panels. Those might last longer.
Greetings from Lisbon - Portugal. Great channel you have. Tks

More long videos please..👋👋👋👍👍👍👍
Hi Christian, and Vera. from the UK.

Dude I love watching your videos y'all bring so much joy and fun into your video that y'all shoot I'm always be a fan thank you LR Time 💯👍👍👍👍
The longer videos are much better and no oil leaks we can gloss over the coolant leak it's a land-rover they all do that 😂😂😂
Love watching you guys!!!
Great video guys. Thanks for sharing trip. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼
