You can’t sit on a Walmart organizer. It will break 🙄
Seriously!
A 5 year old sat on one, it broke. 😂
The engeneering of cubes as well as adding any supports of wood change your tensile strength.
I came here to say that too. Been there for my preschoolers. I thought it would be fine cause they’re so little, nope! Lasted about two weeks started to bend and weaken. Just not made for sitting. Although the reinforced thick wooded ones might hold up nicely.
Yeah they don't make it long, especially if you forget then have birthday party and theirs about 10, seven years old and they believe they are frogger in hoping, jumping, WWE takedowns. Best bet is old changing tables good to break down make a seat bench, you can also use the crib mattress believeme they are the best whether you have a old one or a friend getting rid of one. Take a old wore out sheets, older favorite blankets can be cut down, cloth hot glue, cloth tape, sewing machine or hand stich. You always want to be able to pull cloth off to wash, I use them easy stich on velcro for on and off. Older dressers are good, you can use the drawers for something else, can't go wrong finding older pieces at curbside, you can make anything from Lego table to a outside bench seat.
Just my opinion, I'm a wood collector though anytime someone has good dresser, shelves, wood doors at the curb or they going to toss out I stock pile in our old barn😂😂 what's best is when someone pulls out cabinets whether whole or pieces if it's older cupboards they are always sold wood, old farmhouses are the best. They work for hubby's car garage with the hoist, from tools to everything else. Anything whether metal shelves or cupboards, anything with wheels is worth taking the time to take them of and have a drawers full of them.
I have many of these sawdust storage shelves that saved me when I moved into 1/3 of the space I used to live in. They were quick, simple, and absorbed almost all of my work and kitchen things. The stacks of cardboard moving boxes were out of the middle of my living room. Now, for reuse, recycle and repurpose. Thank you
The ones from Ikea are much better
My husband made shelves in our closets with these types of shelves. I found a warehouse that was selling these for 10 bucks new in the box, We purchased 6 of them and Taaa daaaa built in shelves in my walk in closet and all our other closets 😊 We topped it off with some trim pieces we have and they look like they came in the house this way ❤
Great deal!
Clever remakes of something mundane into something with lots more functional value & stylish aesthetic punch! Nice!!
Thanks to each person sharing their creative idea.
I used them to act as shelving on top of my built in wardrobes. Previously jumpers , blankets, handbags were up there but the stacks fell over or looked untidy. Now they look terrific neatly folded in the cubes. Very happy with my bargain shelving
Pretty creative video. I really like the part about the totes at the end. Thanks so much for sharing.🥰🥰
Okay, gluing wood to a plastic bin and then attaching casters is going to be how I make myself a triple mop bucket.
@tropezando That's a million dollar idea right there! 😉😂
Great video. Great ideas. Some are something I wouldn't do, but that is why we all are not created equal. I especially liked the covering of the fabric blocks.
How fun! People are so creative😊
Home & garden has that cube bench in Walmart, I bought 2. I bought the whole set of cubs storage 🤷🏾♀️❤
I have several of these units sitting around! Thank you for showing me how to enhance them!
The 2nd idea with the Ikea rug and covering one side of the green box was ridiculous. Linen look boxes are available everywhere these days for well under $5. What a waste of time and money - not only that it looked trashy too.
Does it make you feel important going on the internet mocking and critiquing other people who are doing their best to improve their lives? You're not important being a jerk.
By the time you get through buying everything it's going to be a lot and wouldn't be my thing when I could buy something better
Exactly. Less expensive and better looking just to shop around.
But, if you already had some of these materials or found them cheap at a yard sale, you could repurpose them for less than you might be able to buy new.
Wood is expensive to buy and build something.
I like the one that was turned into a bar area! That’s super cute!
❤Omg. I'll be doing at least 2 of these i love for my bedroom and hallway.
It seems an awful lot of hardwork.
I'd just go to a furniture thrift shop.
By the time youve paid out for the cubes, power tool, extra pieces of wood and varnish you may as well purchase a solid second hand piece and polish it.
But I guess if you love mdf storage, and have plenty of time n money to spare, go right ahead!
❤
I think this is the best one I’ve ever watched on this channel. I liked and if I had the talent, I’d do everyone. Good job to all the creators in this video.
Everybody on here so freaking creative it's wonderful❤
Thank you for the great ideas, I will try them on the cube cabinet I have.
Love all of these makes, saving video for later
Thank you for sharing.
There are a lot of things you can turn them into, howe ver, whatever you choose as your post purchase addition should be used to shore up the original cubes, which TEND to be flimsy. Wall shelves? I like! The bar cart idea; yes a good example of your improvement also making the project stronger.
Everybody's so creative!
Love all of these DIYs ideas. Would add my own splash to the plastic container ones to make them more subtle
Some smart folks!!!
7:02 the cat in me perked up my ears 😹
Some great ideas!💜
Those things are way too flimsy to use as a bench.
I like all these projects. I have already made similar things in my home. Thank you for this channel. I subscribed.
Walmart storage cubes…. VERY Nice, and practical!!
Where did you purchase the gold legs from and how did you attach them??
Cube sets, make a fabulous raised vegetable beds. Obviously, if you want them to last for season 2, as I try to do n..I use an outdoor primer and or even engine spray , I additionally, a used/savedou a drill a few drainage and r raised bed soil and plant or seeds
Lots of great ideas, thanks!
❤️❤️Great Ideas!
Suggestion on last cool craft: How about spray painting the top any color you like? I love your fabric idea! A-1 ❤
You have to be really careful with spray paint and plastic...some types of spray paint have additive that actually can start to eat into the plastic, while others will just slough right off with basic, regular use levels of contact. There's specific ones that are made for plastics, but it's hard to say if it would stand up to the lid being frequently handled.
I like all the ideas… great inspiration and most are easy to do
1st 1 har 0:04 d to catch what she was doing for fabric bed stool! Going check out these ideas for where to purchase cubes! Ikea vs walmart!
Nice DIY's!
Can you tell me what kind of wheel you put on the bench? I have an 8 cube kallax unit and I would love to be able to put wheels on it. Thanks for the ideas.
Wow wish I had the confidence to make that bed frame it did look amazing
Some great ideas.
Couldn't be faffed to do any of this.
This was great! would love to add wheels to ours. Do you know where I can find ones like the ones in the video?
Great ideas!🥰🥰
Oh, Yes we can! 😊👍
I love how people take a positive situation and find something wrong, just negative I guess
Brilliant work ❤❤❤
I think the bar cart was my favorite of these.
These are some really creative ideas 👏😊
quick cheap fix if you dont have a lot of money for quality furniture/pieces
Love this!
I loved the first wine bar. Creative
I used them for open cabinets in a utility kitchen
GREAT IDEAS, THANK YOU😊😊😊😊😊😊
I wish I was that creative!
Cute ideas😊
Very Creative. I like the bed frame idea, however, she may want to drill some holes in the 3/4" plywood the mattress is laying on due to lack of air flow which can cause MOLD!
Why would there be mold without moisture? Honest question not trying to be facetious. Just thought mold only presented with moisture.
@@vivianevanparys9985 there is moisture in the room - I have a dehumidifier and it pulls at least half a litre (a pint) of liquid out of the air every day. That's just from us breathing, not to mention sweating etc.
Ah i see. Thank you! Never thought about that.
The mattress can pull air through the sides every time someone gets off of it. It is compressed when people sit or lie on it. And it gets fresh air all the time on all sides and the top. It won't mold.
7:02 the cat in me perked up my ears 😹
Awesome ideas!
All I could say was wow love it
Love all the cube ideas
Moms to the rescue!!❤
I like this kind of easy storage ideas but the fact is cubes vertical or horizontal get lots of dust. Difficult maintenance for the cubes and for the objects that are in them.
TV stand thank j could use this idea
I love these ideas
If you see something that you don't like, then I would really love to see your way of doing it on your own live.
Bed frame would hold a fly lol
I just threw mine away because it looked bad😂. I like storage for bed idea for sure
Should put hinges and pulls where gaps are for more storage
This is a great idea but I can not stand putting the flat box furniture together😬.
We don't own some of these tools or a garage to fit them. Our house is built on a slab.
I'd make these because they'd be good storage for my fabric and sewing accessories. With a taller one i could keep yarn, knitting needles, chrochet needles, and other and other things. They don't take a big footprint, i can put on a single wall, and have everything organized. I'd probably screw them together for stability, at least she has ideas and shares them. 👍
Yesss❤👍🔥🥰👏👏👏👏
Great ideas 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😊😊
Problem is that the hardwood will last way longer than the particleboard that the storage units are made of
Actually I have 2 of the trofast units from Ikea they were bought for my now 21 year old when he was 2 and they are still going just as strong as the day they were assembled and trust me with 4 boys in the house they were put through everything lol.
If properly taken care of , cube organizer shelves last for a very long time. If you follow the manufacturers instructions on not putting anything heavy on them or moving them around while filled then they'll survive for many years.
I agree. I have two 4 cube units in my bedroom that I use to store my Breyer Horse collection. They're pretty but after just a few years of owning them the wood look sticker finish is peeling off. I wouldn't buy anything like this again.
I ha ve Billy shelves that were bought 13 years ago and still doing good.
Very creative.
Price for this units ????
Better get the ikea Kallax cube shelving units. They are better made that the Uber cheap Walmart cube shelving.
I like Ikea much better than Wal Mart
Momma is handy asf!
I love America for this
So smart!
So dumb
❤
Some of these are ridiculous. If you have wood and all these tools, why do you need or want Wal-Mart cheap partical board shelves? Just make the shelves too
Absolutely waste of time ..why is my question just but a shelf instead of all that work sure not.much cheaper
My dearly departed mom taught us… if you don’t have anything nice to say STFU.
I'm glad that you are a builder,I on the other hand am not. Adding stuff is easier than building from scratch. Then I have to buy a bunch of tools. What you say is cheaper most certainly is not for everyone.
@cynthiacrawford1573 I'm talking about the video. Most of these examples show people using tools many people don't have, and raw supplies.
My point is, if you're going to cut and build something using tools, and boards as depicted in this video, you might as well build everything using quality wood instead of cheap partical board prefabricated junk.
Plywood is crazy expensive now. 😭
That would solve my messy looking room. This place is so small I have my manufacturing stacked up in boxes bags whatever
these are good but it would be good to slow down the video a little. It is hard to see what they are doing, especially the one with the fur.
You can easily change the playback speed for any video using the settings gear icon to slow/speed as much as you like, it's Really helpful 👍
Tacky
Love seing women doi g this! Great job!
What a bummer
🤩❤️👍
The bench looks good, but those things won't hold much weight. They are not well made.
I bought a bench from Jysk just like this for $100 and covered the included cushion with shag. Much cheaper than all this.
I made better shelves when I was young with cement bricks and boards!😂
Wish it didn't go so fast, as I can't see exactly what to do.
Slow you video speed down😊
The tv stand remains far too small for the tv!
Girl, you handy.
The TV should also be secured to the wall or to the stand. I was in the ER one night and sat by a lady whose grandchild had pulled a TV on top of himself. I am not sure if he made it. I found out TV's frequently kill kids.
Get free plywood pallets made of oak and make your own
Women and power tools-such a beautiful thing.
What if you don’t have all these expensive tools?
Access and excess are two different things. 0:12
I wouldn’t trust the cubes unit hanging high on the wall, they’re not designed to support that much weight
