Some of the hacks hiding the routers are good ideas but however those devices heat up and need ventilation to keep them cool and last longer… especially the book one that could possibly be a fire hazard ⚠️
It could be done if room was left all around for airflow, but that setup at the very least is going to quickly destroy the router. A small wire rack like you cool cookies on to sit the router on, some dowels glued at the corners to leave space above the router, and this would totally work.
That router trick with a book could lead to a housefire if that router over heats …. and then you would be liable. I’m not sure that’s a great idea. Just a thought
Great ideas. I make woiden boxes. And put pictures or sayings on them. I can totaly use these ideas. The desk idea is cute. I use a couple desks for my sewing. I would have left the books lettering the way it is. I love old books. If i could id have a house full of them. I loved the tv box. Im so doing that. I make many cradts and art work for sale. Love the hemp oil tip for the cuting board project. I love ved the cuting board trick, id pit a cute saying or recipe on it. Ones you use alot. I have a tiny kitchen and not enough space. I hate even seeing the kettle on the countertop. Can't wait to go shopping this week. ❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me
The cutting board screen is a wonderful idea. I have been playing around with the idea of making an appliance garage in the corner to hike my mixer, but this idea will be easier to do and be able to move anytime I need my mixer or to clean the countertop.
You could drill a hole through board and plastic bin, then attach knob to front with mounting screw through both board and bin for secure hold for knob rather than superglue. Nice idea.
The book box idea for games is a good idea. I wouldn't do all that to decorate it. Ive got a couple games the children have ragged out the boxes and they need replacing
I was about to laugh at the picture frame for the TV, but that's a pretty good idea. However, I'm not leaving my TV on to create a faux painting- electricity ain't getting any cheaper y'all!
1. Take a book, 2. cut out pages, 3. distress the cover, 4. paint spine, 5. stack more books on top, 6. then, hide with a plant. Or... hear me out: you could just... *hide with a plant*
Maybe the comments praising the video are from people who just got ideas from this with their own way of doing them that would work better. I tend to do that with recipes - tweak them to fit my family's tastes.
I'd think the wood would make router waves less for wifi was always told to be higher not close to ground for less blockage of waves for better reception
Are you thinking of the plastic bins, the storage areas in the bedroom? Good question :) ! Maybe since she had different craft supplies in each bin, she wanted to label them for her children to make it easy for them to find the right supplies. ? That's my guess 🙂
Either she’s using a number system to identify what’s inside or just a nice design. If you are doing it, it’s really up to your taste as to what to do with it. You can design it or your can leave it plain.
Agreed -- I leave certain things out on top of my kitchen counters, too. I like to have the things that I use the most at hand. My counters don't look cluttered; they are very organized and my kitchen looks like a home that is lived in and enjoyed. I think that the kitchen is the heart of the home, and to me the heart is full. It has personality and charm, and it looks like the place in a home where people always gather, it brings people together, it brings enjoyment, fellowship, connection .. a place that is lived in, not bare or empty.
That router book idea is nonsense! Just put a plant in front of the router. Electronics need ventilation and in my opnion the router stuck out more after putting it in the book!
She wasn't rude at all. Its called caring fir your fellow human beings. That hack is a potential fire hazard. The person doing the video isn't aware that there's consequences for not letting electronics breathe, much less placing a plant atop electricity. People could get hurt, at a minimum.
These DIY craft ideas are either DUMB (Destroy a book to cover a router??? 😮 Blasphemy!) POINTLESS (Cover your kitchen appliances? 🤔 Why?!) or CONFUSING (Detail & direction are missing when it comes to making the board game boxes 🧐) I suspect the comments praising this video are FAKE 🤡🤡🤡

That router in the book is not going to last very long because it’s going to overheat in that book! Don’t do this !

I had that very same thought about putting that router inside of something.
I'm happy others also see the problem with putting the router inside a cut up book. That's gonna be a house fire or will burn up the router for sure.
Also wood blocks wifi signals which is why you never put in a wood bookcase, or cabinet
@@dcolleveMy router works just fine in my TV console, but it does have a slatted back for ventilation. 🤷🏼♀️

I put 4 bread boxes on my counter to used as garages.
The desk cover would look better cut to the desk size instead of extending to the wall.

Wow guys I'm truly impressed with these DIY'S. I'm saving this one, thanks so much🤗🤗🤗

I thought it was universally known to never rip pages out of a book, or destroy a book. 😮
Agreed... Watching that felt like witnessing sacrilege ::cringe::
I see so many DIY ideas that involve tearing up books. They all cringe me out
Must be a younger crowd we were never always lucky enough to get books and now the days everything comes on a tablet for free
@@brendamoon2660 I haven't seen many (thankfully) - but it's sad to know that there are so many people out there destroying books in this way!
Unfortunately, crafters do it all the time. 😢

Note: ELECTRONICS NEED AIR CIRCULATION. . They get warm in open air. HOT if enclosed. They need to breathe.
Yes SAME FOR TV
Thanks for the great ideas ❤
Doesn’t your router get hot when it’s covered with that book?
I was thinking the same. My husband would not be happy if I fried the router.
@@user-tv4oc5ox9h 😂😂😂😂 right!
I was thinking just put something in front of it and leave it open on three sides
Use a fake plant rather than use of water near a router
What’s the WiFi signal loss (with and without) the wood cage around the router?
Just found u. I subd. Keep all the ideas coming. But lets do with budget as well. Thank you
The first turned out amazing
Cute cover ups👍🏼
Use a fake plant don’t water a plant near a router
They're called crates.
I'd think the wood would make router waves less for wifi was always told to be higher not close to ground for less blockage of waves for better reception
Thank you for all the information 😊
I love the ideas but why would you put numbers on them?
Are you thinking of the plastic bins, the storage areas in the bedroom?
Good question :) !
Maybe since she had different craft supplies in each bin, she wanted to label them for her children to make it easy for them to find the right supplies.
?
That's my guess 🙂
... like the oil paints are in #1 ,
the acrylic paints in #2 ,
like that ...

Good idea
Great presentation mode
Great show
I just put a little letter sign on the shelf in front of the area the router sits. So it hidea it well enough and it's nowhere near it.
Title.. but only 1 diy with walmart plastic bins ?! Ok 😒
I know. I fall for it everytime. The 1st idea is usually good, then the crap follows. 😂😂😂
And that one was terrible. You loose so much storage with little bin and tall space.
The last one is useless, in my opinion. It's a kitchen! Your appliances go on top of your counter! Why hide them? 😂
I thought the same thing. Find a place to store the clutter or get rid of it.

Not only was the last one useless but it looked awful 💜
Goodwill
@63clarkey I agree. It looked worse covering it up.
That router book idea is nonsense! Just put a plant in front of the router. Electronics need ventilation and in my opnion the router stuck out more after putting it in the book!
Never got mine to work after multiple attempts very dissatisfied.
always predrill holes in wood
That's not a basket, it's a crate.
I’m sorry but that bin thing looks really unstable.just a waste of time. The basket for routers is nice though
If it is wood it isnt a basket.... it's a crate...
These are all ridiculous and they look like something you would see in a trailer park.
Junk
These items end up at Goodwill or yard sales
In my opinion you could say what you need to say without being rude.
