Thank you all and I'm glad you like this quilt ! A few people are commenting that it was a very nice gift... I guess I didn't mention this in the video but just to clarify, he did pay me for my work 😜👨🏻
I certainly did not recognize most of the bands/musicians. But I really liked the quilt. Most people tell you to make all the blocks the same size. I like your method much better. I have a pile of concert Tshirts waiting for me to transform. Thanks so much for sharing your creative process with all of us.
What an incredible job!!!! I live in Oklahoma & we have a restaurant in the state that produces unique tshirts & I’ve been collecting tshirts for a quilt & Christmas tshirts from the same place to make a Christmas quilt. Seeing your finished quilt really makes me want to work on mine!!!!
I agree with Cynthia FLick's comment. I really like the fact that the blocks and different sizes and you show no fear of cutting them down to no extra fabric around the image. People on you tube channels talk about using all kinds of stabilizers that are super expensive to ensure that a tee shirt quilt goes together ok and here you are using the most basic interfacing available and you make it work. I so admire you and your quilts!! Thank you for sharing your process with everyone!💓
I made a basic t-shirt quilt (like 16 blocks of the same size) and this video gives me some inspiration and confidence to dive in and get a little more creative! What a sweet and fun project!
Love the quilt. I learned a lot too! I have made one t shirt quilt of yard sale disney t shirts. Moderately successful but the next one will be better now. It's so great that this is a meaningful one to Lucas. Great job.
Fantastic quilt. Love how you show your thought process getting all the differing sizes together. You are so generous with your time and effort making great quilts for your friends.
JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL and can't stop catching up with all of your Quilts also love the music as well. I love your channel because you have your own style. I Love IT. Keep up the new designs. I also Quilt as well.😇🥰🥰
The devil is in the details..... I love the idea of going in with the date and other little things that aren't taking away and could almost be missed but collectively add such impact. Thats the sign of a true artist when designing. So cool.
You did a FABULOUS job!! I make a lot of tshirt quilts for others. What I would give for a design wall!! I just dont have room where I live. I use a flannel backed tablecloth in my living room floor. Maybe one of these days!! Again, GREAT job!!
I love making T-Shirt quilts but never made a mosiac one like this. The biggest game changer for me was getting and using a steam/heat press rather than an iron to put on the fusible interfacing. Its so much faster. The completed quilt looks fantastic Dave. Nicely done.
The interfacing I used was terrible kept coming off but I noticed you put on first then cut your block shapes, will try that next time thanks again Dave
Just awesome quilt. I have made four t-shirt quilts. Three quilts for my grandkids and they took them to college. And, I made one for my husband. Looking forward to make more. You are so talented and fun❤️
That turned out really great! Much less stress/work than graph paper and it works out cuz you’re the boss of the quilt! The live reveal was fun, say yes to round 2, can’t wait to see it!❤
Wonderful quilt! I love your design process. I’m just starting my 3rd t-shirt quilt, but my first out of polyester sports jerseys. I was a bit overwhelmed by the volume of shirts, but you’ve given me some great ideas on how to incorporate the essential parts.
love this!! what interfacing do you use? i’ve been wanting to make a tshirt quilt too and want to use interfacing now since it’ll be my first quilt 😅 make things a little easier haha
Dave, the quilt is super! My question is: What sizw/type of needle do you use to sew through the tee shirt decals? I have always been told not to try to stitch through them. When I tried, I broke needles and skipped stitches. How are you able to do this? Love your videos and projects. Groups, neighborhoods, and sections is so practical!
I'll have to get back to you because I'm away from my sewing machine rn to check... my mom always taught me to use a ballpoint needle on tshirt jersey although tbh I forget whether I have one in now or had one in when I made this quilt 😅
Thank you all and I'm glad you like this quilt ! A few people are commenting that it was a very nice gift... I guess I didn't mention this in the video but just to clarify, he did pay me for my work 😜👨🏻
Even better!
Nothing wrong with that!! 🙂
Sweetness all around❤❤❤❤
How stinkin' sweet was that ending❣I love the quilt but hearing the reaction was priceless❣Homerun Dave🤩
Thank you Tracy! PS I can't wait to Davetize a scrapberry gingham 😜👨🏻
Dave, you never cease to amaze me. You are a true artist in the making. A great quilt!~
You have the luckiest friends and family! 😂
You're a genius, ❤!
Lucas's reaction was priceless! Great job Dave!
That was so sweet of you to get that T-Shirt quilt done for him. You’re also very creative; you’re awesome!! 🎉😸

Awesome, Dave!
I love this method!! Looks so much cooler than when they are all the same size.
ah that was an awesome reveal. The quilt is badass.
I love the way you put this together. It looks like the walls of old rock clubs with the posters all stuck all over each h other, so cool.

Ditto here. I don’t have a wall I can use so I crawl around on the floor, getting more difficult to do. 😅
Great quilt. The balance of shape, color, and value you achieved is fabulous. Love it! Lucky Lucas. BTW… Brenda of Conquering Mt Scrapmore sent me. 😊
Your creative process is absolutely fascinating - a joy to watch! Great quilt! Great video! Loved seeing your friend’s reaction.
One of your best. Quilts are a caring gift. Hours of labour.

I genuinely love it so much too! Lucky Lucas. I would love a Dave original
Amazing, beautiful quilt!
Another good one Dave.
French fuse is the perfect interfacing to use on a t shirt quilt. Just iron it on in the opposite direction of the stretch.
Another awesome quilt by Dave! 🎉
Your tombstone: Quilting Champion, Tongue Pop Olympian, Loving Friend.

Great Job, Dave❣️ Congratulations Locus!!!
👍 Chris
Omg, your friend is adorable. Great quilt, so awesome

Love it!! I sew need to make one of these. On the list.
What a great collection of tshirts
I am way too square to know most of those musicians but the art work is fantastic
I didn't know most of them either, Lukas is way cooler than me 🤪😉😂😂👨🏻
Amazing as always, Dave!
Fun!
Awesome job!!
Hello Dave, your videos make me happy, they are very inspiring! Thank you! Nice greetings from Dornbirn -( a smal city in Vorarlberg- Austria)
Wilkommen zu Daves Craft Zimmer 😆😜👨🏻
❤
So cool! Would you do a video on your applique process? Can you also use polyester jerseys? Thx!!!!
Epic!
Amazing

Love this quilt and am trying to make one w my son’s old T-Shirts. What’s the finished size of this one?

Love it!!! Did you put batting in between the backing and the front?
yes 👨🏻
@@davescraftroomI was just wondering, because I am making one now and I think it needs batting. Thanks for posting! This quilt is beautiful ❤
