On a recent visit to Mangalore, I came across this egg stall that though relatively unknown is quite the hit with regulars for its punchy egg wraps, chilli and stumbler, a quintessential egg dish from Kudla. Its owner, Devdas, is rather shy and prefers to let his food do the talking. However, I learnt from regulars that while making a living as a waiter during the day, he would tend to his egg stall at night, and it is by dint of his hard work over a decade and pleasing demeanour that Devdas’s motte angadi (egg shop) is fast emerging as the spot for a late evening ‘eggy’ snack. Hope you enjoy this street food episode from namma Kudla.
Take care, stay safe and strong. Happy eating!

ಎಳ್ಳು & ಪುನರ್ಪುಲಿ juice is love for karavali people👍🏻
Unlike many food bloggers who simply discuss the taste and appearance of dishes, you take a unique approach by breaking down each element step by step. Your in-depth explanations provide a virtual experience for viewers, allowing them to easily understand and connect with the culinary journey you're sharing. This thorough exploration not only enhances the audience's understanding but also creates a virtual sensation, making them feel as if they are truly partaking in the gastronomic adventure.

Sir love to see your videos have been watching you since two years its good to see good established shopkeepers are using cold pressed oils like coconut instead of refined oil Sir when are you visiting Uttar Pradesh
Rodies boy.. 😂😂😂 Abhiii. He did pushuups. In mtv Roadies....😂😂😂 Good to see him after a long time... Thank you Kripal sir ..
I could imagine how tasty those eggs 🥚 are- omelets, rolls & all. Kripal Sir,food wise, I envy you!!! 😂 . Very hungry now!!! Need to visit when I am in India 🇮🇳 .
I'm have been a Food Lovers TV fan for 4 years or so and love Kripal Amanna Sir's unique style of vlogging. The thing which bugging me a bit in this video is I'm not sure whether Abhishek, the host of this episode once featured in Roadies way back in 2008 after his infamous audition where Raghu kicked him on his balls 😅. Is that the same guy or I'm entirely wrong?
you are such a gentleman! I love your way of explaining.. great job ...
this is my favourite egg spot in manglore..i live in the outskirts of mangalore , when people mention egg in mangalore they speak of seethana and daamanna in front of aloysius college gate. but this spot is the best spot for me. i am not a regular to this place . but whenever i am around PVS after 5 and i am hungry i go to this place. i am so glad they got the recognition they deserve.
Hi Sir.. As always, yet another great episode..
I was absolutely sure you would like the ellu juice.. one of favourites since my childhood.. But when you asked/surprised about ellu, I was lil worried if you would skip as it is quite an unique combination.. but i also knew you do not hesitate to try new concoctions and you found a gem..
Once the man said "Umm.." and the world followed 😊
This Charmuri dish reminded me of somthing similar called "Mandakki" which you get in Uttara Kannada side i.e. Yellapur, Sirsi and Ankola. People enjoy it as an evening snack with some green chilles which are boiled in salt water. Coconut oil really gives it a very unique flavor.
How are u managing wearing formals in humid weather or the weather is generally good in Feb ?
I am only here to listen Narration by Kripal sir Fabulous English 11/10 ILETS score Love from North Karnataka❤❤
Thank you so much bro i used to visit as am mangalorean its a nice place as you say street food
When English professor becomes food vlogger😂
Tasting the world, one dish at a time 😊. Food is the ingredient which brings us together. Love your show sir.
Everyone has their own boiled charmuri place. I had one growing up, miss my boiled charmuri place
Great video as always 👌,will surely visit this place when I am in Mangaluru 😊
Mangalore is a food heaven
Good afternoon dear Kripal - I did watch some snippets of the vlog in your SM handles . Hello to Abhishek👍 So it’s Devdas egg stall . Looking forward to some interesting egg based dishes . Wow you already have your first dish ready . You need to have it when it’s hot . However knowing you well you would like the go through the preparation of every dish that you plan to taste ; Stumbler , Egg Chilli & Egg Burji with bread 😀 I am sure that the best egg dishes is the one near Cooper H . wow the Egg roll and Egg bread Burji looks delicious 😋 Your trademark expression “Hmm” is a stamp of approval 👍 Today for lunch we have Egg Curry & Jeera Rice . So a perfect vlog to watch before enjoying my lunch. The second dish is like a Bread Upma with scrambled eggs 🥚. I agree that after having the super flavourful Egg roll , the Stumbler is unable to follow a high standard that’s already set by the ER .Churmuri & eggs whoa what a unique combo 😀 It’s not blasphemy but something unique & weird . Brilliant candid review of the boiled Charmuri 👍 Pretty reasonable pricing . Now time for Devdas’s popular Egg Chilli which is also your favourite 💯💯💯 Need to definitely try this place for sure 👌. Great way to wash down the flavourful egg dishes with some home made juices ; Vanilla , Sesame, Carrot , Kokum & Lime 💯💯💯 I have a fresh Kokum juice at home and you have given me a great idea 👍👍 Looks like the Sesame juice is like what we call Tilgul converted into juice 👌 Wow very reasonable prices for the juices 🥤. Agree Kokum would over power the other juices . So your top two juices ; Sesame Juice &!Carrot juice 🥤. Shout out to Abhishek. Thoroughly enjoyed this vlog with a visual experience of their unique dishes & juices . Thanks once again for providing us with such great food vlogs 🙏🙏🙏 Take care and lots of love and respect 🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯
Hi Rajesh, yes, the dishes were the sort that hit home. Which is the place near Cooper? And what do they serve? Yes, the sesame juice was a delicious take one the tilgul, the sort that would definitely prompt sweet conversation! ;-) Enjoyed my time at this stall, glad you enjoyed the watch too. take care.
@@FoodLoversTV Dear Kripal - Thanks for your reply . The one near Cooper Hospital ( JVPD ) earlier called as Kursheed’s and now it’s called Md Nazir . They offer a range of traditional egg based dishes including their outstanding Bhurji & Half Fry . They also offer Pav Bhaji . Nothing unique like Charmuri . However they do have dishes like Egg Chilli and the others . Next time you are in Mumbai , I will take you there
@@rajeshramachandran1704 lovely! sounds like a plan!

Mangaluru is very underrated in Indian food scene. So many culinary delicacies have their origins in our Udupi and Dakshina Kannada region. Yet most r underrated compared to others from north

So, saikala in kannada and sanjhe in tulu! :) shall watch the video soon.
Sayankala is of Sanskrit origin whereas sanje is native to Kannada.
@@sowmitriswamy6718 Buoy! after all these years I know it's actually sayankala, which as you say is Sanskrit and I can very well relate to it. I learnt a bit of kannada speaking with an ajji (who was most probably Telugu) who used to work at my place, many years back! I am glad that you messaged. Now, sanje, i can relate to it too, because, in my mother tongue, dusk is called soNdHa (sandhya)..which I think is similar to sanjhe. So, can I say that these words are native to India?! :)
@@abhishekghosh5550 I don't know the etymology of "sanje". The word "Sandhya" or dusk is also there in Kannada, but it is considered a poetic way to refer to dusk. Sanje is colloquial speak.
"Bayya" in tulu for evening
Sanje also a word for evening in Konkani which is other popular language spoken in Mangalore
Hey that person is from mmj

They touch the money and then the raw food. Men, India needs to work in the hygiene of the preparations.
People are really crazy They don't know what they are eating seeing this youtube review, I had here egg roll here and he puts heavy oil ,this is not good for your health.
does he pay IT? at 500 eggs per day he surely makes a decent income to pay IT.. does he?
Any update me if you find their new place🥲
