Mangalore is such a holy, humble and delicious place to visit :D Need to plan a special trip from Mumbai just to enjoy delicacies. Book a train ticket, stay at Airbnb and eat all the 3 meals for a week in these restaurants. Not only the city, but the villages and markets nearby offer really tasty and unique meals. Goto Mulki or nearby village markets.. Surathkal . . Amazing food. Feeling nostalgic. Thanks Kripal Ji for exploring this place.

Pathrode should be savoured during rainy season. Since it causes throat itch during other season, they add more tamarind to prevent the itch. So do try pathrode during rainy season. Heavy rains outside and sitting at home and shooting eating pathrode just out of cooker is a mandatory activity in most of GSB homes.
S Rao 1 second ago Dearest Brother Kripal, Thank u, There is a lot of food yet unexplored and tasty for Veg. and non veg lovers. i appreciate your concern for keeping all the sections happy and with a smile always. pathrode should be heavily smeared with coconut oil when cooked for avoiding itching. otherwise it is not so good.your day will become difficult brother.
i am from Mangalore. I miss all the dishes for now. praying that i get to eat soon. but there is a outlet near Malleshwaram where all the dishes are authentic and available.
In Gujarat we have similar colocasia leaves based dish it's called "Patra/ Pattarveliya" we make it with besan and various spices, they too are steamed first then pan fried. Some place in Gujarat eat it with besan "kadhi". Btw we eat it round the year. And that biscut roti looked like Khasta kachori , or Puri .

I am a fan and friend of yours personality. Your style of presentation are unique and highly appreciative. I am in New Jersey. I always miss you and wish to be with you, all the time.
From birth I am Gujarati Jain. But I feel very lucky to be with South Indian personalities and South Indian food, always, since childhood.
Even today, if all or any of my meals are South Indian, I am the happiest person around.
Your videos are the best, I do not miss anyone of them. Thanks for the wonderful and caring service you are offering to the Society and community. community
