  • Another tough day at the office (sigh). Some beautiful views to enjoy while getting into a large mow that includes some really good slopes - (more than 40degrees in places).
If you're a Ventrac enthusiast, (as I certainly now am), this is a great study of how the machine handles long grass, lots of bumps, as well as steep climbs and descents.
Mower is Ventrac 4520p Petrol 31hp Kawasaki Motor with duals kit and MS720 72" side discharge deck (3 blades). Rated for continuous sideways mowing up to 30 degrees.
And, also, it was a lovely day!
Please note: I am not affiliated with Ventrac in any way - just rapidly becoming a fan!
Location is Weit Bay, North Island New Zealand - looking East out over Hauraki Gulf.

You've finally gotten a ventrac! I kept meaning to comment on your vids and say if you'd ever looked into them. How are you finding it? I assume its a new purchase? I dont remember seeing much about it before...
Maybe you could do us a video talking about it one day? I would love a proper opinion on one. One of the most annoying tjings about Ventrac is the lack of real word opinions on them. Its all just their own promotional videos all over the web, thats about it.

Thanks for your comments. Yes, we now have 2 Ventrac mowers with various decks and an edger. I’m working on a “deep dive” video presently, but our Autumn busy season is here so it’s going a little slower than I would like. I’m very happy with the machines in general, but there’s a couple of “mods” I’d like which I’ll explain in the video. Cheers!

Yes, certainly not cheap. Working out to be very cost effective for the work we’re using them for, however.

@@BlockBustersCoNZ my problem with them is the lack of a pto to run equipment you already have to have to invest in what you mite already have sitting in the yard is a problem been only able to power there own stuff takes them back to tractor in the 30s and 40s you ever see the carraro tractors over there mate

I get your point for sure. I have other tractors for the PTO gear - these guys were bought for a specific job. Cheers!

I would never turn down “more power” ! This client is a 4 weekly cut so it is a lot heavier going than it looks in places. Even though the grass is only about 6”, it is very dense and matted where you hear the machine struggling. It’s also a 3 blade 72” deck - I’d love to have some more hp!
