Why The John Deere 4066R Cooling System SUCKS! (just super poor design IMO)

  • One of the many reasons I am WAAAY less than impressed with the John Deere 4066 R. It overheats in stupidly normal conditions, it is ridiculously cumbersome to clean the cooling system, and just generally reeks of bad design. Purchasing this tractor was my 24th John Deere of various sizes, and it is likely my last.
John Deere - you need to wake up and listen to your customers. After buying 24 John Deere's over the last 2 decades, I've now bought 3 more machines from 2 other brands - something I thought I would never do.
Please note: this my personal opinion - your experience may be different.

Yes, and on the cab over model, they have an a/c condenser. I appreciate the video, I need to find a small blower like you are using. Using the water hose, shuts me down for the day. Thanks

** how would you like to not have to carry that blower or take that hood apart again?? There is a patent pending chaff repelling screen coming soon, goes on tge outside of your grill

What year is your tractor? It looks different than my 4066M as my hood all swings up in one piece.

It’s 2022, and it’s same configuration as my previous 4066m which was a 2017. I was in a John Deere showroom today and the 2024 4066r is the same as the one in this clip - same difficulty cleaning the radiator. I just don’t get the design.

New external chaff repelling screen (patent pending) coming to market soon! No more having to stop & clean chaff. No need to carry tools to clean. Saves time, saves equipment from overheating

if you want a tractor that don't overheat, get one made to do what you are doing, not a toy

The tractor shouldn't overheat in this environment, and it should be a lot easier to clear the radiator in the field than this poor design allows.

Easy solution coming to market soon. No need to open hood & carry a blower!
