Love watching your vids, fish or no fish, Wayne! Tight lines mate!
Cheers buddy
Best thing about sea fishing no matter whats ya target species it's still a fish,But we still carry on thanks for the honesty. Wayne it does help
Thank you. I appreciate that
A good information fishermen are few far between. You never know what ya going catch.adds more too the excitement and one minute adjustment to a rig or different bait for a sea monster. you don't learn something over night and you're welcome wayne any time. Carry on fishing 👍🏻 and i'll keep on enjoying
No fish but your videos are still full of great information as always and love watching them as it's real fishing at its best.
I appreciate that! Thanks buddy
Your enthusiasm is catching. I’m getting my kit back together and can’t wait to fish again. Good vid Wayne and always funny. Your get that hound soon enough.
Thanks mate. I appreciate this.
great vid wayne i love the way you show its not all about the catching its about trying being out and not in doors stuck on a device great inspiration for the younger gen all the best donny
Thanks Donny mate
hello wayne , i was up at sand point friday had a couple of small ones on the dongle i use a 60mm dongle for the hounds mate couple of 50p size peeler on a 3/0 circle give them a bit of time tho . i only took a rod and rod rest a few rigs and peeler , i cant carry to much weight down there lol . go steady on them rocks chap
Thanks mate. See you soon
Always a great video Wayne it just proves how hard fishing can be sometimes but good luck and tight lines mate next time you're out fishing 🎣 👍🏻
Cheers Hoops buddy.
Great effort mate
Cheers mate
Unlucky this session wayne, I'm sure you will put that right next one. All the best from GRIMSBY
Thanks buddy
UTM
Certainly not for the faint hearted fishing round that way. Gonna be so sweet when you catch a whacker on that rig!! Cheers for uploading 😎👍
Cheers buddy. Its lovely out there
You’re doing everything to get us amongst the fish. Just wish the little rascals would read the script! 🐳🤔😂
Haha cheers mate. They will come
I gave up using the standard dongle in southampton water. What I do now is just attach a normal j hook onto the shank of the circle. A bit like Mr Bagnal with his small baits. I had a great year last year.
Even managing to get all my bait ready before fishing.. that second hook never got into the fishes mouth. They were all on the circle.
I also don’t use the perfection loop. I snell my circle hooks on.
Great stuff mate. Thanks for watching
Expat Somerset boy here living in Melbourne, Gummy Sharks are what they use in Fish and chips here. It's called flake!
Cheers mate. Thanks for watching
Thanks for doing this Wayne. It’s as I expected. There is no real difference. The only +ve I can see, is a large fish taking it whole. Anything smaller is just a run.
Cheers mate. Let's see hey
Great vid Wayne stuck at work watching you you fish and time and a half lol. Been out trying really hard like just seems there no fish in the sea a long the south coast apart from dogs and bass. It will pick we hope. Take care dude.
Cheers buddy. I appreciate that
another good video mate 👍I use the dongle a fair bit for summer species rays, hounds, huss and found the chinu style hooks don't have as good a hook up rate as a full blown turned in circle since changing from chinu style I don't think I've missed a bite yet in probably 12 months
Cheers mate. We will see how it goes
One my fav vids to date mate! ….. I kinda accept missing the odd fish with the dongle in exchange for generally not having deep hooked fish? …. Tight lines mate 👍
Thanks mate. I appreciate that. Take care
Great video Wayne its not ways about catching fish mate it's the person who makes. The videos watchable still not sold on these dongle rigs yet I've not used them personally just prefer the good old methods mate tight lines bud 🎣👍🐟 sorry I've not message in the last couple of vids been a busy man
Hey mate. Know worry, I hope you are good and looking after yourself
Have you ever tried putting a hook on the end of the split ring of the dongle for when you have a larger bait?
Hey mate. That wouldn't work. I have been out again, you will see soon
Did you check the area you were standing on for peelers? It looks really peeler friendly 😊
Hey mate, there is a few hard backs but no peelers
Looking forward to fishing my local beach selsay for hound's can be manic when there in all the best 👍
Me too mate. I love them
Well done Wayne for removing that negative comment, only jealous, take no notice.mind your footing again ! Gd vid mate, Dongal ? Yet to be converted .tight lines, take care
Hey mate, thanks for having a brain. I just like showing everyone new things. This isn't a new rig. I appreciate your kind words. Cheers
Nothing wrong with that, you go for it ,tight lines, take care
Hi Wayne ffffing dingle rigs not my favourite 😩😩🏴🍻
Ah mate. Nor mine at the moment
I think sea angling is tough enough catching fish, let alone reducing the chances with hair rigs/dongles,two hooks will always be better than one.not fishing for carp and limiting the damage.good vid though, well done.
Yes, you are right. We will see hey.
Lots of hounds in and around Swansea
I've seen buddy. I will be about over there.
Saundersfoot west Wales not a lot happened this week lots fishing no joy that’s fishing 👍
I tried the dongle, but kept losing fish.
I will try again when the hounds are in, but im yet to be convinced
Me neither mate. We will see hey
Nice video
Thanks buddy
Don't you have to wait bit longer for bite to develop wen fishing dongle wayne? 🎣🎣🎣
The fish was running. It felt hooked but we are all learning
Yes deffo just one of those things that happens to us all Wayne 🎣🎣
Were do u fish the Bristol channel me and my boy new 2 this
Bridgewater Bay mate
UK Dongle rig = A poor interpretation, of the original RSA Dingle Dangle rig from which it was copied.
Nothing confrontational here from me Wayne by the way, l enjoy watching you and your channel great informative and entertainment.
I just think we have got it wrong here with our UK evolved version.
@@paulhiggins6024 Not quite right, the Dingle Dangle rig was thought out and evolved for a purpose. To enable South African anglers to cast big baits further, gain distance to reach the fish zone. It came about at the same time as braid and fixed spool use revolutionised, took over nearly all shore fishing set ups in RSA. The Rig was adapted to incorporate snelled circle hooks, for better presentation and improved hook up percentages this also gaining the added advantage of nearly 100% fish mouth hookups as well, so improving fish preservation.
End result you have a rig that you can cast any size bait aerodynamically and stream lined perfectly.
Straight away the Dongle don't do that, on Big baits, it is still clipped side on to rig body, it is not centrally balanced creating helicoptering of baits, sometimes, and loss of distance, tangled rigs.
There's loads more to it, another what you make the dangle rig with and how, materials use wise, hooks size, in respect of better presentation, and also when fishing for shy or finicky fish in hard conditions.
Anybody really wants to know how to make one correctly, loads quality utube sites just like Wayne's here.
Just write in search box "Dingle Dangle" rig, Cob traces, and click on sites like these , which are probably the best and for quality, "ZLF" Xander der Beer, or Duven van Breda Fishing, both top South African international shore anglers, they have numbers of videos on it, go through indepth exactly how to build ,what to use, and why, when and how to use the rig.
