All the R&H musicals I've seen have story lines full of misogeny and racism. I can't understand how on earth they are still being performed nowadays. A lot of the material just makes me cringe.

I do enjoy The Sound of Music and I think Carousel is a story that I think is interesting if we explore how flawed Billy is and his redemption. Flower Drum Song was just not it and the music was meh.
