I ordered this product as well. I live on the east coast of the US. It will be delivered this weekend. I must have watched this video like 5 times and at just before 11:00 minutes Chris hits his head on the front bar. Chris I hope your head is okay. I do that a lot as well. I am not a small guy. I feel your pain. Thank you for the review and unboxing. I am going to watch this video again to build my Byron/Beauty as well. This video was really helpful and made me feel confident in my purchase.
Thank you so much for the kind words. And yes, forever hitting my head on things, lol. I really hop you like the sofa and let us know your pros and cons once you've spent some time on it.
Mate you are an absolute legend. I had these same problem and I fixed it in two seconds thanks to you. I used the backrest cushions to get the back of sofa nice and proud of the ground worked well. Thankyou so much. Koala need to include your technique in their build video
Cheers mate, appreciate you letting me know and so happy I could help. I edited out all my curse words while I was trying to work out what I had done wrong, lol.
As in the way the couch is facing. No I haven't, but yes my feet would stick off. Also, the fold in the middle, where ther is a change in density, would be right in my ribs. I'm 195cm though.
Thanks for the review and tips! I've had a koala mattress for a few years, I'm sensitive to the memory foam smell, gives me inflammation. Weirdly went away but came back this Winter. Comfy though.. Few questions: It's not memory foam but polyeutherane? You mentioned it smelt of hay, has it gone away? You fit at 2m tall but not with a pillow. Do you think someone 5'10 with a pillow would fit?
No worries, thanks for lettting me know. To answer your questions 1. Memory foam is a type of pulyeutherane.... so I think you could still have issues. 2. Now that you mention it, I haven't smelt it lately, so either I'm used to it or it has faded. 3. Yes, I think you'd fit. My wife is 5'10 and fits.
Many thanks for this, Chris. The tip about the arm rests shaved off some of the frustration for me. We also had other issues (rollout frame pieces didn't fit together) and I'll say that although the customer service was a bit of a circus, they did try hard to please us. Couple of days later we finally have a complete sofa bed and we're looking forward to giving it a run.
Thank you for the feedback. Glad to hear that about the customer service. I didn't need to use them in the end, so helpful for other viewers to know that they at least were responsive.
Is this the newer one? I have the cushy sofa bed. The length is too long for my legs. It tilts on the edge so you cant sit without sitting all the way back, the cushions dont always line ip and sinks roght st the hips. Its killed my back (i got it to co sleep w my baby) this one looks a lot flatter but if the softness is way dif how is it long ways to lay on
I think it is the newer one yes. I didn't notice any sagging at the edge at all, so they must have fixed that. The fabric is a little course and it's not plush, but I thought it still felt pretty soft.
Oh, that's an interesting question. I don't think it would be the right fit for you unless you put a throw or something over it when the baby is out and about. Doesn't clean easily and not stain resistant. This is what Koala says about cleaning. ------ First and foremost, if anything is spilled on your sofa make sure you act quickly. The longer it’s left to sink in, the harder it will be to clean. In order to protect the fabric and its colour, mix some gentle detergent with warm water and dab the affected area. ‘Dab’ being the keyword - be careful to not rub the spill further into the material. Allow this to air dry and repeat if necessary. (Note: whilst you can remove the covers for some of our sofas for spot cleaning, we do not recommend washing these.)
Really appreciate the review! Thinking of buying one yo be used as a guest sleeper. Have you had a chance to sleep on it overnight? If so, was it comfortable or any other reflections? Thanks!
Thanks Ryan. Yes, I've slept on it. It's fine I think for guests and occassional sleep overs. Not for permenant sleeping I would think. But It's more comfortable than the classic spring sofabed by a mile.
This is super helpful. I'm currently considering buying this sofa bed. Thanks for taking the time to review this and share it with us, Chris. 😃
You're welcome! So glad it was of help.
Did you get it ? And how you like it? 🙌 would me more than helpful !! Thank you!

Hey Chris thanks for the review! Quick question, have you tried sleeping the other way round? like vertically? would your legs be sticking out?

Great review mate and exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Cheers mate, apprecaite you letting me know. Glad it could help.
Great review thanks mate! Been looking for one of these reviews for a long time but could never find one. Cheers!

Thanks for your help. It really saved me the headache with installing the armrests.
So glad to hear that, thank you for letting me know!

Don’t the cushion slides down when you are seating(in sofa mode)? Thank you.
No, I didn't have any problems with that happening. Sitting and Back cushions stayed in place for me.
Is the fabric washable or stain resistant? Im planning to put this in our baby room and it's something to keep in mind.

Will a fitted queen sheet fits?
Yes, that's what we use. It fits well.
Great video 🔥
Cheers Apollo, appreciate you letting me know.
Which color is this?
I believe it's calld Morning Grey
How does the secret doors stay up?
It pushes against the arm of the chair just enough to hold it in place.
