Hey bro if you want harder turns you need to have your feet further back on your board
You will get around your turns quicker and sharper :)
    Great progression dude
    Keep it up

Hey thanks mate really appreciate the tips. Should both my feet go back? Or just the front one? Any tips how to do that cause I obviously naturally try and pop up further on the board it seems

Just slide you back foot back but if you stance is 2 wide the bring your front foot back also
But yeah if you can get your back foot closer to being ontop of your fins your turning will be SO MUCH easier and responsive :)
Let me know if that works better for you
Might see you at urbn surf bro

I tend to think you can surf better than you are showing us cause your board to stance is down tight .one fluid motion and that's something that takes more time and practice to perfect meaning that's harder then pumping down the line .I kno this from experience from when I learned to surf .I was having to go belly to knee for a sec before getting stood up but once I was up I could pump and make bottom turns and off the lip slashes .so in my opinion anyone that is first starting to surf the belly to feet snap took longer to achieve than anything else .well that and actually catching the wave where I learned on Florida Beach breaks of 2 ft most the time so yeah if your a medium to large size guy catching waves in small surf was right up there with the stand-up in terms of hardest things to overcome.

Thanks for the comment! Yeah I spend so long working on my pop up because I struggled so much with it. Now I’m really working on being able to actually do some turns like you mentioned, now I find pop up second nature but turns so hard.
Any tips for improving my ability to do turns and what not?
