I have one of these 6.7 Platinum CCLB on order since Jan 3rd. The 3,400 lb payload doesn't sound right unless it has a derated GVWR. My order has a 12,400 Lb GVWR, and the payload should be in the 4,000 LB neighborhood.
Yeah I ordered mine beginning of Dec 2021. Just got the build date last week for August and delivery estimate of late Sept. Aside from the badging and seats, the Lariat Ultimate is exactly the same.
CCLB models have a higher payload than the short bed models. The surprising part is getting a 250 with a diesel. Very little payload capacity on sticker. 8K pound truck with a GVWR of 10k.
Cant order super duty with massaging seats anymore. They removed them from peoples orders. So why not get a lariat ultimate now? Is the different leather on the seats and appliques worth the 6 to 8k ?
They are very close in size. I have been waiting for them to put the 5th gen Ram 1500 cab on the HDs. I had to make a switch to Ford because the current RAM HD crew cab doesn't even compare to the space of an F-350
Only for the rich now. F150 or F250. New trucks are a thing of the past for a large majority of previous buyers. But they are making more on the few they sell to the well off people. Average working guy will not be driving new trucks anymore unless he spends every dime he has on incredible size payments. But Ford or any other manufacturer doesn’t care if average people can’t buy them as long as their profits keep them rich.
