    Just bought a nearly identical ‘23 F250 Tremor with a few more options (moonroof, upfitter switches etc). Oddly despite more options I have 3261 lbs of payload. Paid $68k which was $2k below sticker here in NY. Exceptional truck, pulls our travel trailer incredibly well with better fuel economy towing than my previous 1/2 ton. The ride in the new Superduty is incredibly nice for an HD truck. Even unloaded I don’t feel that I gave up much comfort to my 1/2 ton. Having always wanted a Powerwagon but never being able to get one due to the weak payload, I’m thankful to Ford for coming up with the perfect combination of offroad and towing/hauling capability. Can’t wait to see more great videos of this truck!

      @@krisk5585 Southern Tier area, it did take me 2 weeks of negotiating to get to a deal I liked. Finding a Tremor is not easy, my local dealer usually only gets around 2-4 per year.

    Another big reason to get a gas over a diesel is the emission issues that come with a diesel

    In 2020 I bought a F350 Tremor 7.3. I towed a 2020 Grand Design 303RLS Fifth Wheel. It towed up any mountain/grade at 65+.
    Most People that bad mouth the 7.3 have never towed with one or don’t have the 4.30 rear.

      In the 8’s towing(62-65). City around 11-13. Depending on how much fun I was having.

      I tow 16k to 18k behind my truck, skid steer and MIni Excavators. I'm wondering which package to get. I like the 4.3 gearing on the Tremor but the payload is higher on just a non tremor standard F350 SRW XL or XLT, correct? It's hard to get the 4.3 rear end if you don't get the tremor pacakge. You can order one from the factory or buy a cab and chassis truck off the lot with the 4.3 rear but I'm trying to blend in to my neighborhood doubling it as a daily driver. And Cab and Chassis with flat beds are DOT magnets. I'm non CDL.

    Man those camera views are great! And such a clear image! I wouldn't mind betting the flat battery is a problem with the electrics in your backhoe and not the battery itself. Disconnect the battery when you ain't gonna use the Gravedigger for awhile. Put that old battery on trickle-charge.

    The main thing with the Tremor is the torsen front differential in my opinion

      I was just looking through the comments to see if somebody pointed this out. That’s a huge deal to me, much bigger than a small lift or a set of tires.

      I couldn't find a 23 tremor so bought a fx4 put the tremor rear block and u bolts adding a elocker up front and a small 1 1/4"lift. 35.3 m/ts fit at stock height no rub so all in I'm looking at about 4000 dollars added to have simular capability but a real locker up front. I still would've got a tremor if I could have found one without getting gouged but overall I'm coming out much cheaper this way. I believe the trail turn assist will be the only thing I'll be missing but pretty sure I wouldn't use that where I offroad dragging tires on jagged rocks will tear them up anyway.

      I think the Torsen option is only on the F-150 Tremors... SD's get a traditional LS

    I love the Tremor as an option. We have a ranch that is very remote, an hour from any town, and the road to it is dirt road and rough. There is even a small river crossing. But we have to tow and haul things up there and that truck is ideal.

    i traded in my power wagon 4 months ago because it was awesome offroad, but sucked a truck stuff on road. found me a superduty diesel (not tremor) and it's obviously better at truck stuff, and struggles offroad, but I don't need to offroad it much.

    The Tremor package also imcludes a limited slip front axle. That makes a lot of difference off-road. The 7.3L is the way to go. The VAST majority of folks buying SDs dont need the diesel it juat makes them feel good about their small....you know what.

    Great content. I’d like to see you discuss the F250 / F350 Tremor rear suspension compared to that standard F250 / F350 trucks.

      I could be wrong but I think the only difference is the leaf spring block is 3 1/4" vs the regular 2" blocks. Also tremor shocks. My fx4 is identical except the shocks and 1 1/4" higher blocks. I do have the 10,500 lb package so that might be why my axle and springs are the same.

    Ok you always forget the Tremor limited slip front axle, arguably the major improvement over the FX4, and all other heavy duty off road offerings except the Power Wagon.

    Crazy to think that you'd have to connect three of those gas engines together to make the same torque as the Power Stroke H.O. engine.

      You'll be in a much lower gear though at any given road speed. So due to torque multiplication you should see similar numbers at the tires.

      General Motors really needs a wheel wheel redesign if they want to run larger tires. Those squared off corners really inhibit tire diameter.

    Agree with your comments, but you kind of compared it to the wrong Ram. The Tremor competes with the HD Rebel, power wagon is in a different class of offroad, rebel and tremor are just "good 4x4"s.

    Tremor is one of the only trucks that comes with 4.30 gears. If you buy the 3.73 gear with 32 or 33 inch tires and then throw 35 or 37 inch tires, it will decrease your towing power. Right? I would imagine the real world gear ratio in terms of pulling power would be about the same with 3.73 gears and smaller tires vs 4.30 gears with 35's.

    I always love to hear the non diesel owners try to rationalize why they got the gasser when deep down they just didn’t want to pony up the 12k (American dollars). When in reality it’s cheaper to own the diesel (if you keep your truck greater then a few years) because of the huge difference in mileage. So doing the math including maintenance you get your 12k back in about 5 years if you actually use your truck as a daily driver like I do. The fact is that the diesel does every single thing better than the gasser does and does it 10 times better. And yes the diesel option for the Tremor, because it’s the new High Output diesel cost 12k (American) but the regular diesel that you can get in almost every other trim level is 9950k (American). I didn’t believe the diesel Tremor was actually going to get 18 miles in the city and 21 on the highway until I saw it myself and did the hand calculations (not the lie-o-meter). And towing about the same weight on the highway it gets about 13 - 15 depending on conditions.

      The diesel does pull better but most folks buying a tremor are doing so for off road ability. The diesel weights several hundred lbs more up front making it much less capable offroad and also wearing out the suspension bearings tierods etc much faster. Also diesel has trouble idling offroad on slow trails will break down become much more expensive. Off road the gas engine is better in every way actually also you probably didn't add breakdowns and shop time to your expense comparisons. Insurance on the diesel is higher too so financially and off road the gas engine is better Pulling heavy loads down the highway the diesel wins. Pick the best tool for the job your doing or just pick what you like free country.

      What I find funny is when diesel fans tell us all about how much they save in fuel by totally excluding the 1-1.50/gal additional fuel cost on a good….while also not mentioning the additional cost of DEF. Yea bro, you’ll really make that 10-12k price difference with all that fuel you will “save” over about 10 years.
      Diesel fans sound very much like electric car owners who love you tell about not needing to go to the gas station for 5 mins but never mention the hours they spend sitting at chargers that may or may not work in shady areas.
      All I gotta say is, cool story bro.

    To save an extra $7000.00 from not buying a diesel sounds stupid as most people finance their truck unless you have more money than brains but that is a small percentage, it's going to cost you another 60.00 a month when you finance so I would go with the diesel over the gas just to know I have more torque than not enough going uphill.

      It's $12,495 extra which equates to more like $200 more a month. $60 a month would take over 17 years to pay off that cost and that doesn't include interest.
      Diesel certainly has more HP and Torque but it is a lot more $ than you mention.

      @@jimsmarketingcode3147 then they must have misspoken- the diesel engine upgrade is $12,495 for the HO version, 9,995 for the standard. Tremor package can only be upgraded to the HO. I just had dealer work up an order for a 2024 and the HO diesel was 12,495. I'd order 5 of them if it was only 7 grand more, lol !

    I mean to be completely fair, you put a set of bags on a Power Wagon and it will tow 12 or 13k no problem. It might chew up some fuel and technically be illegal, it wouldn't be an issue.

      @FlyingAceAV8B I mean now they have the rebel HD which is supposed to fill that void. God only knows why they decided on 20's but it's there. Would be nice if it had at least a mechanical front locker but oh well. The rear locker will be fine for most offroading. You'll never take that truck where the power wagon will go.

      What’s wrong with Duratrac? At one point they came on practically all off-road focused trucks. Power Wagon, ZR2, F250 Tremor. I use them on all my trucks and Jeep. Awesome tires. Excellent in dry, in wet, on snow and even ice. No hydroplaning. Great traction on and off road. Only drawback I found is that it will reduce your fuel efficiency by about 2 MPG. On 8,000 pound vehicles (actual weight not GVWR) I can get about 35,000 miles out of a set. Not cheap though but quality never is in life.

      @@is6566 my experience is those are junk, never again. Always were out of balance, uneven wear and noisy like hell. You name it. Were good only first year. BTW, because of all shaking etc I had to prematurely replace whole front end. GMC SIerra 3500HD. Im using BF Goodrich KO2 now and is day and night different. BTW those duratracs supposed to be good for 50K miles not just 35K

      @marcelo… No offense but what you described sounds more of an alignment issue not the tire itself. So far on multiple vehicles I drove about 120,000 miles on Duratrac. On four vehicles. On a F150 I am on third set (80k miles). On my diesel GMC 3500 I am at 22k miles in eight months. All other trucks, Jeep on first set, less driving, less mileage but all good. I never experienced anything you described. I always make sure the tires are professionally mounted and balanced and the vehicle is aligned.

      ​@@marcelo403polo2 Never had duratrac but something was wrong with the truck. I've been beating the hell out of my f150 in the Rockies so bad I have missing lugs on my mud tires. Truck still tracks straight forever no uneven tire wear and that's with 150,000 miles. If your truck can't hold alignment with a a/t tire something is wrong with it need to check it out.
